Chapter Index

Da Liu stood on the top floor of the African Headquarters, looking down to see one sedan after another pulling away. A surge of inexplicable exhilaration welled up inside him.

When will the day come when envoys from every country yearn to meet us, only to be denied?

Boss is simply too impressive. He had thought Dream Technology was already one of the top companies on Earth, yet Boss quietly created an even mightier enterprise.

Back when Dream Technology fiercely resisted the United States, he was terrified—who would have imagined they could intercept intercontinental missiles?

This kind of power, surpassing even that of great nations, changed his perspective when later dealing with various officials.

So when Boss ordered the sale of Dream Technology, he executed it without hesitation, even following him all the way to Africa.

Oh—more accurately, he followed him to the Heaven Realm.

Unfortunately, before he could even enjoy a few comfortable days in the Heaven Realm, Boss had him step in to take Rein Leinar’s position as the global CEO of Dream Technology.

“Da Liu, I sent everyone packing. I’m exhausted,”

Liu Sichen’s voice sounded from behind, shattering Da Liu’s thoughts.

Da Liu turned around and saw Liu Sichen sprawled on the sofa. He remarked, “Thank goodness you’re here; it definitely takes a load off my mind.”

Having collaborated at Dream Technology for years and weathered countless storms together, they were as close as brothers—so Liu Sichen didn’t feel the need for formalities.

“I’ve long known that a few days in the heavens have their perks. Remember at Mr. Lei’s wedding? Staying there for a few days was pure bliss.”

Da Liu eyed him suspiciously and asked, “Don’t tell me you’re missing your wife and kids. How different could this mansion be from the Heaven Realm?”

Liu Sichen glared back, “Are you kidding me? Who complained this morning about the traffic jams and unbearable pollution?”

It then struck Da Liu, “If you put it like that, this place really isn’t as good as the Heaven Realm. As the old saying goes, the air in the Heaven Realm is sweet.”

Liu Sichen laughed, “That saying does suit it—there’s really a sweetness to the air up there.”

“Alright, enough self-praise. How did you handle those ambassadors?”

“What else? The announcement on our website was clear. Every nation knows exactly what to do,” Liu Sichen replied.

Liu Sichen sat up, clenching his teeth as he continued, “Damn it, these bastards are so determined to be prepared that they’ve even relocated to the Heaven Realm.”

“They’ve even started developing Martian real estate for sale—surely they know more about the upcoming ice age,” he added.

“I can’t help but wonder why Boss didn’t, like before, announce on the website that the ice age is coming?”

Da Liu snapped, “Are you stupid? Everything we announced earlier was about localized disasters. This ice age would be global—if we made a direct announcement, the people on Earth might wipe themselves out before it even begins.”

“If we revealed it outright, the world wouldn’t wait for the ice age. Under the threat of impending doom, humanity would likely tear itself apart.”

Liu Sichen mused, “That might be true, and many countries would probably target Dream Technology.”

“No, at this moment, it’s more likely that they’ll target us,” Da Liu countered.

He continued, “Given the current situation, clearly only Dream Technology has the means to leave Earth and survive. Some nations might even band together to force us to hand over certain space technologies, so they can develop their own space cities or planetary colonies.”

Da Liu explained, “That’s why I can’t afford to meet these ambassadors in person. A slight misstep might be seen as favoritism and tarnish Dream Technology’s image.”

Da Liu was truly troubled. He had to maintain Dream Technology’s market presence across various nations while ensuring none took advantage. It was a delicate balancing act.

Even though Dream Technology wasn’t intimidated by any nation, Du Qiu’s orders were clear: secure resources from major powers so they increase their purchases of Martian real estate.

If relations with any country falter and Martian real estate sales drop, it could jeopardize Du Qiu’s overall plan.

In truth, Da Liu had misunderstood. He believed Du Qiu wanted more resources to build additional Martian real estate in order to save more lives.

While his logic was sound, Du Qiu never set any concrete targets—everything was left to chance.

Still, Da Liu was convinced that if Du Qiu was to be the savior of humanity, he had to give it his all.

This predicament left him anxious about offending any nation.

Liu Sichen asked, “So, do you plan to meet with the resource-rich nations’ ambassadors by yourself?”

“Yes, which is why I need you to coordinate. We can’t let other nations catch wind—any hint of favoritism would spark complaints against our company.”

“I think you’re overthinking this. A few complaints won’t hurt. Besides, you can simply explain that Dream Technology needs to procure raw materials, thus only inviting those particular ambassadors,” Liu Sichen replied.

Da Liu rubbed his forehead and said, “I really am overcomplicating things. Your idea works—I’ll let you handle the invitations. Three days from now, I’ll meet with these ambassadors.”

That night, at a suburban villa.

“Miss, the newly appointed global CEO of Dream Technology, Liu Yaofeng, will hold a raw material procurement meeting with ambassadors from resource-rich nations in three days,”

Du Minghui said coldly, “His arrival confirms that Dr. Du Qiu is the mastermind behind Dream Technology—and I’m convinced Dream Technology was behind what happened to my brother.”

After her brother died, initial investigations had connected Dream Technology to his murder.

But she didn’t have strong enough evidence to prove her suspicions.

Then, by a twist of fate, she encountered Hao Ren in Dubai.

To her surprise, Hao Ren fell in love with her—even though he never spoke about Dream Technology.

Still, in subtle conversations, she managed to uncover some stories linking Hao Ren and Dr. Du Qiu.

When she found out that the leader of the Tang Country medical team in South Sudan was the mother of Du Qiu’s girlfriend, she nearly confirmed that Dr. Du Qiu had exposed the epidemic cover-up in South Sudan.

That raised the likelihood of Dream Technology’s involvement in her brother’s murder to an alarmingly high level.

Now, as former senior executives of Dream Technology steadily assumed top positions, Du Minghui was convinced that Du Qiu was the true power behind it all.

“Miss, what are we going to do now?”

Du Minghui looked at everyone and declared, “From today on, you all must go your separate ways—change your identities and disappear across the globe.”

“I’m going to marry that black man and follow him to the Heaven Realm,” she proclaimed.

    Pointing upward, she continued,

“Miss, you can’t go to the Heaven Realm alone. What if something happens…”

Du Minghui interrupted, “Remember, you’re not Japanese—you’re descendants of the Tang.”

“Once you’ve changed your identities, head to Dream Technology’s global recruitment drive and find a way to get hired,”

she instructed, “When you all eventually reach the Heaven Realm, we’ll have a chance to meet again.”

“Miss, that guy already knows us. Is our plan even worthwhile? Why can’t we join you as subordinates and go to the Heaven Realm together?”

Du Minghui shook her head and said, “Dream Technology’s rules state that only immediate family members of employees can enter the Heaven Realm. You, as my subordinates, cannot.”

“Miss, can’t we ask that black man to help us get recruited by Dream Technology—maybe as security guards, for instance?”

Du Minghui snorted, “Did you really think I hadn’t asked him? He made it clear that even as a shareholder, he has no right to meddle in Dream Technology’s recruitment, let alone recommend anyone.”

“So if you want to enter the Heaven Realm, your only option is to join Dream Technology’s upcoming global recruitment drive,” she explained.

“Understood. Please take care, Miss. We’ll get ourselves into the Heaven Realm through the recruitment process as quickly as possible,” they replied.

“Hmm, time isn’t on our side. Leave immediately,” Du Minghui ordered.

After a brief tidy-up, the group left the villa, leaving only Du Minghui and a few domestic robots in the vast house.

A strange smile suddenly appeared on Du Minghui’s face. Then, she turned and slowly ascended the stairs to her room.
