Chapter Index

    “Yenir?”

Seeing Yenir frozen in place, Minister Zhou’s eyes flickered with a trace of doubt.

Had he heard that instance name before? Or did he know how dangerous an Intercontinental Instance could be?

Mistaking Yenir’s silence for worry, Minister Zhou hesitated for a moment before speaking earnestly:

“Yenir, this mission is of utmost importance—it’s tied to our nation’s strategic reserves. At this point, you need to know some of the details…”

“Don’t be fooled by the sheer number of Third-Stage fighters in our Battle Zone; we even have over a hundred High-Stage warriors.”

“But our core forces below High-Stage are severely lacking—a true warrior who can outclass his peers is exceedingly rare…”

At that, Minister Zhou’s face broke into a wry smile.

    The reason was simple.

The veteran Third-Stage fighters hail from the old era; even the worst of them survived the chaotic mid-apocalypse, when Safe Zones were just forming and every warrior was forged in life or death. But once balance was restored between humans and monsters, most of the newly promoted Third-Stage fighters turned out to be descendants of the Awakeners.

So many of the old guard perished that who would want their offspring to endure such hardship?

Not to mention, many Awakeners, after advancing to Third-Stage Mid-level, have never experienced true combat against fellow Awakeners. At best, they just trailed the main force hunting mutants, relying on abundant resources.

This has plunged the entire Huaxia Battle Zone into an awkward predicament.

In terms of Awakeners’ power, Huaguo resembles a dumbbell—the upper end boasts incredible strength while the base is flooded with Awakeners.

But the middle tier? It’s virtually non-existent.

After a brief nod, Yenir collected himself and calmly asked:

“Minister Zhou, how many people, including me, will be entering this Intercontinental Instance?”

He had been reluctant before, but once the system task was announced, his interest was decisively piqued.

Needless to say, the mandatory task had to be completed.

It was the final reward that truly caught his eye.

An aerospace carrier? A strategic-grade vehicle?

He’d only ever heard of such things in science fiction—though, in his past life, many in the Military had studied the concept. Their plan was to build a mobile Spirit Tower to supplement Spirit Energy, treating Awakeners like fighter jets for nationwide support. Had it been achieved back then, the successive collapses of Safe Zones might have been averted, with even the chance for resistance preserved.

He wondered if the design schematics in the reward were for something like that… If so, their value would be beyond measure.

“Counting you, there will be roughly ten personnel entering this instance.”

“The instance is capped at sixty participants. A Third-Stage Beginner counts as one, while a Third-Stage Mid-level counts as ten. With you joining, it’s like adding not one but two Mid-level fighters!”

    His eyes burned with intensity.

Minister Zhou knew full well that Yenir had only just advanced; throwing such a prodigy into an Intercontinental Instance was hardly ideal, but the temptation was simply irresistible.

Even if Yenir’s performance only matched that of an average Third-Stage Mid-level—or was only marginally better—it would be a massive gain for them!

Not to mention that after witnessing Yenir’s terrifying prowess firsthand, the Military was almost euphoric in yesterday’s meeting, convinced they’d clinched this instance!

Just the thought of previous operational failures filled everyone in the Military with pent-up frustration!

This was also why Li Xuanguo, despite widespread objections, had bolstered the rewards.

No contribution to the nation? Not worthy of this honor?

Then let the Intercontinental Instance decide! He was convinced that Yenir would truly shine—an advance reward, if you will!

    “I’ll go.”

“Minister Zhou, if that’s the case and there’s nothing else, I’ll head back for now.”

Yenir nodded subtly, clearly noting the intense spark in Minister Zhou’s eyes. With his keen mind, he grasped the implication.

The Authorities were offering him better treatment—which naturally demanded a standout performance.

In all honesty, it was really a test.

When perks are handed to you, you either deliver or you don’t. If the Military were to abandon Zhang Meng, then Yenir would owe a matching return in value!

Seeing Yenir’s agreement, Minister Zhou’s eyes shone with relief.

This reassured many in the Military Department who had doubted Yenir—fearing that his sudden appearance might signal a lack of loyalty. They hoped he wouldn’t turn out to be an ungrateful ingrate.

“Yenir, you don’t have to worry about safety.”

“Every member of this operation’s top priority is ensuring your absolute safety!”

“Moreover, before you enter, the Military will provide you with a special tool that will let you escape the instance even if the mission fails!”

Ever since Yenir had decisively accepted, his demeanor had gained Minister Zhou’s favor.

In good spirits, he even revealed extra details to completely dispel any lingering worries.

“Rest assured, Minister Zhou—I know exactly what to do on this mission.”

Yenir arched an eyebrow and replied with a faint smile.

“Special tool? Immunity to instance penalties? Those are rather rare…”

Yet, it didn’t exactly surprise him.

Come on—his potential was off the charts, and the Military was proudly earmarking him as the next commander. If he were to die in there, all of Huaguo would be scandalized.

    ………………..

After returning to his quarters, Yenir sat upright amidst Spirit Crystals, wasting no time. He steadily channeled Spirit Energy to boost his strength while immersing himself in the schematics. The system-designed blueprints fascinated him.

    “Captain Mi, width Mi…”

“Maximum takeoff weight tons, payload tons…”

“It can carry 64 Spiritual Energy Fighters, with 26 Psynergy Cannons mounted on its hull, and a pair of main cannons at both the front and rear.”

“It can hold up to 7,000 people and comes equipped with a Spirit Tower…”

The more he read, the more alarmed he became.

Compared to the fortress diagrams he’d hand-drawn before, these system blueprints for an aerospace carrier were exponentially more detailed.

Under a dense mass of over a million words of data, even the technical brief left Yenir dizzy.

Gazing at the blueprint of an aerospace carrier, its design a patchwork of diamond and triangles, Yenir felt a surge of excitement.

He had believed that the Military’s earlier ‘fantasy’ of an aerospace carrier was already sufficiently sci-fi.

But compared to these schematics, it was like comparing a rickety ride to a star-destroyer—the gap was beyond his wildest imagination!

“If they can actually build this marvel, they’ll dominate the Earth!”

“Can humanity truly construct something like this!?”

Taking a deep breath, Yenir gaped in disbelief.

This wasn’t just an aerospace carrier—it was an impregnable war fortress, a mobile ‘continent’!

    He stifled his astonishment.

When he reached the final technical list, Yenir’s eyes went wide; even for someone accustomed to grand spectacles, he was momentarily stunned.

He had thought that even with these blueprints, building this would be impossible—the sheer number of technologies involved…

With the Military’s current tech rebuilding, even producing a fighter jet was a stretch.

    But…

When Yenir noticed that the final design included a construction guide with thousands of technical modules, his eyes practically lit up in astonishment.

“They come with complete technical guidance!?”

Is this just a blueprint? It’s like handing over an entire tech tree!

    “Damn it!”

“Is the system out of its mind?! Is it expecting me to conquer the entire world?!”

    Chapter Summary
