Chapter Index

Inside the Skill Storage Room, the temperature suddenly dropped to freezing.

Amid the chill and the constant blare of alarms, Director Wan’s face turned ghostly white as if she had been struck by a shock.

She had no idea who the attacker was – only that their strength was terrifying!

Unfazed by the frightened onlookers, Yenir let out a light laugh and nodded slightly at the leader, Wan Rou.

“Uncle Liang, she’s the one threatening me.”

    “You heard the earlier conversation.”

No sooner had he finished speaking than Liang Lie’s eyes turned cold. Without hesitation, he lunged like a fleeting shadow, smashing a punch into several Third-Stage Awakeneds who had been brought along.

    “Boom! Boom!”

    In just 0.3 seconds.

    Bones cracked loudly.

Accompanied by agonizing cries, both Wan Rou and the Third-Stage Awakeners crumpled almost instantly—their arms shattered, rendering them utterly helpless in battle.

Targeted by Yenir as a threat, Wan Rou writhed on the ground in pain, spitting out blood.

She was only a Third-Stage Beginner with little combat experience.

With one slight move from Liang Lie, it felt as if every bone in her body exploded in a single punch—she collapsed like a heap of mud.

Without a second thought, she could feel her insides hemorrhaging!

Moreover, Liang Lie’s right foot landed squarely on her head, as if he were about to crush it at any moment!

    Terror. Shock!

Facing death so up close, Wan Rou couldn’t comprehend why this was happening.

She was a member of the Military! As a director in a special division, even top brass would give her respect! She couldn’t believe that this sudden ultra-powerful man would ruthlessly strike her just because she had offended Yenir!

Where is the law? Where is reason!

    Insane! Absolutely insane!

Before she could even curse or cry out,

one second later, Liang Lie’s emotionless voice echoed again.

    “Target secured. Proceed with execution?”

“If you believe the target still poses a threat, I can execute the highest directive and eliminate her on the spot.”

Raising his eyebrows, Yenir was momentarily surprised, impressed by his Guardian’s decisiveness.

He had expected Uncle Liang to merely help resolve the matter, not to actually carry out a kill order so coldly.

This man is as emotionless as a robot…

    “Don’t… kill me… please, no!”

    “I beg you… don’t…”

    She trembled uncontrollably.

Wan Rou, who had never witnessed such a scene, disregarded all dignity in her overwhelming terror.

She had realized that the moment Yenir nodded, her life would be over!

This ultra-powerful man cared nothing for any so-called rules!

    “Yenir! Lord Yenir!”

“Spare Director Wan! She admits her fault! Please, have mercy on her!”

“I apologize on her behalf! You can’t kill her!”

Her face turned as white as death.

Only then did Wang Xiaotian come to his senses and speak hurriedly, his inner shock nearly indescribable.

He knew about the Guardians and just how outrageous their authority was! But knowing and seeing it firsthand were two very different things!

Now, right or wrong no longer mattered, nor did it concern him whether Yenir’s actions were appropriate.

He just wanted to persuade Yenir to avoid any unnecessary loss of life!

Seeing Wang Xiaotian’s pleading expression, Yenir frowned and shook his head slightly at his Guardian.

    “Forget it; let her go.”

“Kick her aside—she’s just in my way.”

No matter how arrogant he was, sparing that old woman was, to him, a favor to the Military.

Even if she were killed, so what?

After all, it was this old woman who had first come to cause trouble.

Whether executed by his Guardian or as mandated by order, Yenir couldn’t fathom how this woman had the nerve to challenge him…

Some people just don’t know any better.

Seeing no further orders from Yenir, Liang Lie nodded mechanically and instantly kicked her away. With a heavy thud, the pitiful Wan Rou hit the ground and lost consciousness.

Glancing around, the Third-Stage Awakeneds could only watch in horror as Liang Lie led Yenir calmly out of the lab.

One minute later, as blood stained the floor and the injured director lay not far off,

Wang Xiaotian stood rooted to the spot, a mix of pain and resignation in his heart.

    So arrogant. So domineering…

Though Wan Rou had erred, Yenir’s handling of the matter was far too harsh.

Damn, that kid is really not someone to mess with…

Under his Guardian’s protection, he truly wielded limitless execution power, as the rumors said.

At that moment, he finally understood why so many high-ranking officials treated Yenir with such caution…

When dealing with an untouchable genius like Yenir, it was best either not to offend him at all or to keep one’s distance.

There was no helping it; his talent was just absurdly exceptional.

Those top brass practically treasured him like gold…

    ………

    The next morning.

Rising slowly from a pile of Spirit Crystals, Yenir exhaled as the dense blue mist in his eyes gradually dissipated.

Though his absorption efficiency was low, he had managed to make some progress.

Looking at the table piled high with Spiritual Energy Fruits, he couldn’t help but sigh.

Improving attributes after reaching Third-Stage was incredibly difficult.

Even with the Capital providing full support, he had only managed to boost all his attributes by 3 points. As for those rare resources that uniquely enhance battle power, he planned to request them once his regular upgrades hit their limit.

“If I had everything, I could add about seven more points…”

“Without worrying about waste, even without activating any innate skills, my combat power should reach an intermediate level.”

While Yenir was busy calculating and considering when to inquire about the readiness of his reward set and epic weapon, a series of light footsteps sounded outside.

Like a ghost, Uncle Liang’s voice suddenly reached Yenir’s ears:

“Yenir, someone from the Military Supply and Combat Readiness Division is here.”

“Your set and weapon have already been prepared by the Military.”

“Also, the 13th Assembly is scheduled for the day after tomorrow—moved up a bit. Representatives have come with the invitation.”

Upon hearing Uncle Liang’s report, a spark of joy flashed in Yenir’s eyes.

The biggest reward had finally arrived!

To maximize his combat power, he hadn’t even drawn his system’s equipment set yet.

And with the meeting imminent, it was perfect – he was fully prepared.

    His face shone with anticipation.

Watching a squad of fully armed Awakener Soldiers solemnly carry a box into the Yard outside, Yenir couldn’t help but eagerly await his own reward.
