Chapter Index

    Yenir: “Where are we going?”

“And what do you plan to do next? Take control of the top brass here to use their influence for our mission?”

“Or… take care of those people?”

Sitting in the backseat, Ming Luo felt a bit dazed.

He felt as lost as he had on his first dungeon run, utterly clueless about his next move. Yenir’s method was completely different—in his view, the best bet was to control a few wealthy tycoons, wrap up the mission, and make a hasty exit.

Caution and keeping a low profile were the team’s guiding principles.

“Go find the city’s governor, get him on our side, and let him work for us—this will get us closer to the top echelon.”

    “As for what comes next…”

Yenir chuckled lightly and then beamed:

“Mobilize every armed unit we can. Surround and exterminate the rest!”

“Eliminate them, and we’ll have all the time we need to complete our mission.”

It was like a Level B dungeon with an overall difficulty of Level A.

For Yenir, the only real hassle in this dungeon was the Awakener from the other battle zones, so his plan was straightforward.

Take out the biggest threat, then handle the rest one by one. What’s there to rush?

The others were shocked, and Ming Luo blurted out immediately:

    “Eliminate them!?”

    “Yenir, that’s impossible!”

“If they split up, maybe we have a chance! But seventy Third-Stage mid-level fighters… Forget persuading NPC forces; even if you could, they wouldn’t be able to wipe them out! If we ambush them, the Awakener from the Korean-Japanese Battle Zone would trace us in no time!”

“By then, we wouldn’t even have the opportunity to complete our mission!”

“And Yenir, have you even considered that we don’t know where they’ll show up? We can’t set an ambush without that information!”

In one breath, Ming Luo fired back, gripping the seat behind Yenir tightly.

He wasn’t just arguing—he was stating the facts!

    It’s not that simple!

Yenir had considered this approach before, but its feasibility was extremely low, with too many cumbersome steps.

Not to mention, just figuring out how to locate them would be a monumental challenge!

    With confidence in his plan,

Yenir shook his head slightly and decided to explain quickly on the move:

“I told you, just trust me.”

“You think the hardest part is finding their location, right?”

    “It’s simple—just use triangulation.”

With a light laugh, Yenir activated the in-car projection system and quickly pulled up a map of the city:

“First, the system wouldn’t let us be too far from the enemy Awakener; otherwise, we’d never cross paths in this dungeon.”

“Secondly, the distances from both sides to the mission target wouldn’t differ much, or all we’d be doing is rushing between points.”

“The world is even larger than reality. For the system to force a collision, the area must be constrained to a specific zone.”

“Multiply the Awakener’s top speed by three hours—that’s roughly the area in which both sides could appear.”

Pointing at the map, Yenir drew a large circle and zoomed in.

“This area, roughly the size of two city rings, aligns with the furthest point from our mission target. Narrow it further, and it’s definitely where the Korean-Japanese Battle Zone will emerge!”

    “Wow.”

As Yenir continued narrowing the target area, the nine team members in the backseat were momentarily stunned.

“But even this area is still too vast…”

“Especially in a city—we need to deploy forces in advance to ambush them. Only by attacking the instant they appear can we pose any real threat…”

Glancing over the area Yenir delineated, Squad Captain Ming Luo, though less bold than Yenir, furrowed his brows. He weighed the plan’s feasibility but still felt the challenge was enormous.

“Too big? Then let’s narrow it further.”

Yenir smiled nonchalantly and tapped another coordinate on the map:

“The two key NPCs in our mission are a Professor and a civilian teenager. Their very names reveal a huge disparity in status.”

“Look at the people around you—most inhabitants of this city are white, meaning Lin Rui’s coordinate can only be in a ‘Chinatown’-like area. Draw a line between the Professor and Lin Rui, find the midpoint, and overlay it onto the narrowed zone. That area is where the Korean-Japanese Battle Zone must appear!”

“Moreover, considering there are seventy of them, they couldn’t possibly be hiding in a cramped building!”

    “Remember where we emerged?”

    “The parking lot!”

“Which means when the ten of us arrived, the system ensured that local residents wouldn’t spot us. Consequently, the seventy of them had to show up in open, sparsely populated areas!”

“So, the final area comes down to the suburbs, highways, or parks!”

    “Whoosh.”

    The map zoomed in rapidly.

Yenir then drew a narrow, winding line that circled the city’s edge.

In that instant, a determined glimmer flashed in Ming Luo’s eyes.

He understood what Yenir was getting at!

Realizing that Yenir had locked onto the enemy’s approximate coordinates, he felt a surge of emotion.

Piecing these clues together might not be overly complex, but it was impressive to see it all come together so swiftly.

Especially Yenir’s skill in capturing system data—it was nothing short of astonishing.

They were used to methodically completing dungeon missions, and this was their first time witnessing such bold tactics.

The team exchanged complex looks as they stared at Yenir’s profile, momentarily speechless.

“How can this kid be so familiar with these dungeons? His tactics are so seasoned, as if he’s been through this a hundred times…”

No wonder he confidently assumed command! Whether it was his own ingenuity or if the Military had prepped him beforehand, no one could say for sure…

Noticing their awe, Yenir simply smiled and paid no mind.

In truth, his ingenuity was partly due to taking a clever shortcut. Ming Luo and the others weren’t foolish—they were just bound by conventional thinking. They wouldn’t dare risk much since their intel was far more limited. Different perspectives naturally lead to different outcomes.

Moreover, a flash of blue shimmered in Yenir’s left eye before vanishing in an instant.

The method for locking onto the two NPCs’ coordinates wasn’t as simple as he claimed; he had actually used the Ghost Eye to glean extra system data.

To put it bluntly, he was cheating.

“So, is Lin Rui definitely in the ‘Chinatown’ area? And can’t the Professor take a vacation?”

    “Not necessarily!”

“He just had extra information that made him so sure about those two crucial coordinates!”

Of course, there was no need to explain further.

Seeing hope light up in everyone’s eyes, Yenir nodded slightly:

“Moreover, once we take control of the governor, we’ll hand him the portrait of the Korean-Japanese Alliance. Using the local surveillance system, we can then lock onto the enemy.

The moment they appear, we’ll immediately pinpoint their location!”

“Then whether we choose to attack or harass them will be entirely up to us!”

With that, Yenir fell silent, lost in thought about the next phase of the plan.

The real challenge wasn’t locating them—it was eliminating them. He didn’t claim he’d kill everyone, so as not to further worry his team.

    Ming Luo had a point.

The NPC forces here might only be able to menace seventy Third-Stage mid-level fighters after marshaling a significant force, but time was definitely not on their side.

So Yenir’s task was simple: keep the local forces occupied.

The rest would signal his moment of bloodshed…

However, before that, he wouldn’t mind launching a few ‘nuclear bombs’ to let the enemy taste defeat…

    “…………”

    Chapter Summary

Yenir leads his team through a tense discussion about an audacious ambush plan in a sprawling city. Using rapid analysis and system data, he outlines how to use triangulation and local surveillance to narrow down enemy coordinates. Despite Ming Luo’s objections over the plan’s risks and complexity, Yenir remains confident, even admitting to using extra system leverage via his Ghost Eye. The discussion reveals his ruthless determination and readiness to create chaos, ensuring that once the enemy appears in open terrain, they will be neutralized swiftly.
