Chapter Index

    Unapologetic threats.

Looking at Yenir’s smiling face and hearing his maniacal words, everyone felt a chill deep in their hearts.

Their counterpart’s ‘conversation’ was merely a notification, leaving them no room to choose… not even a choice to ‘believe’!

Do these few really have the nerve to threaten the Federation?!

    “You…!”

Inside the conference room, a high-ranking Military official anxiously looked towards Bayen.

    “Mr. President, don’t trust him!”

    “I don’t trust a…”

    Boom!!

Before he could finish speaking, Yenir’s grin vanished. An overwhelming aura burst forth around him as his Third-Stage mid-level power erupted without restraint. A fierce Mental Shock materialized and blasted the speaking officer.

There was hardly any time to react.

Before the surrounding soldiers could respond, the officer was violently slammed into the wall, embedded like a shrimp in concrete. A loud gurgle of blood marked his collapse into unconsciousness.

His twisted rib was snapped in half—a grim fate decided by one of Yenir’s casual strikes.

    Everyone was stunned.

Instinctively, the patrolling soldiers raised their weapons. But no sooner had they fired than, to their horror, the guns slipped from their hands as if controlled by a force, turning them against their owners.

    “My gun!?”

    Clattering sounds filled the air.

They floated upward, suspended in midair.

    Whoosh.

With a swift flick of his right hand, Yenir manipulated his Mental Shock to redirect the guns, coldly aiming electromagnetic guns at everyone.

“Believe it or not, you have no choice!”

“I’m telling you, I don’t have time to waste!”

“If you don’t cooperate, destruction is inevitable! Better to be annihilated by me than by monsters—at least you’ll go out with a bang!”

His face twisted into a crazed grimace. Under Yenir’s skillful performance, this sudden twist left all the high-ranking officials completely terrified.

From the President to the Generals, everyone felt as if their bones were crying out under the crushing pressure emanating from Yenir. Breathing itself became a struggle.

As they watched the Youth hover in the conference room, displaying his astonishing abilities, fear instinctively gripped them all.

Reading the documents and witnessing it firsthand were two entirely different things!

This was genuine superhuman power—a being beyond mortal limits.

Outside, the sound of heavy footsteps grew louder as elite troops assigned to the entire building hurried toward the conference room.

    The commotion was simply overwhelming!

Their mission was to protect the head of state, and many carried prototype weapons, desperate to storm the room and stop Yenir.

From several buildings visible through the glass, high-precision sniper rifles suddenly locked onto him.

But the power gap was just too vast.

Floating in the conference room, Yenir sneered coldly as his Mental Shock enveloped everything around him.

    Boom!!

As he shuddered, a perfectly precise circular shockwave transformed into a transparent blast that instantly sent the charging special forces flying.

    Bang, bang, bang!!

In the blink of an eye, the arriving reinforcements were blasted out of the building like cannonballs, shrieking as they tumbled like severed kites to the ground.

    Bang, bang! Bang!

    “What was that!?”

    “Someone… someone just fell out!”

Outside, reporters and civilians with cameras gathered, watching in terror as soldiers continued to crash down before their eyes.

In an instant, every face turned pale as they instinctively looked up at the triangular tower.

They had expected a major news story—a chance to get first-hand report—but now it seemed something unimaginable had transpired inside!

Meanwhile, in the conference room, an urgent look flashed across Ming Luo’s face.

He stretched out his arms to shield Bayen, pleading, “Yenir!”

“I believe they just can’t accept it at first!”

“I know you don’t want to see humanity perish again! I know this is our last chance…!”

“Give them some time. Just a little time!”

With that, Ming Luo roared at the Federal President, his face etched with sorrow:

    “Stop hesitating!”

“We already crossed over once before, but because the Federation didn’t trust us then, our first rescue operation ended in complete failure!”

“We won’t have another chance to return!”

“If we fail this time, the next wave will be humans controlled by monsters coming back to annihilate you! By then, humanity’s fate will be far worse than you can imagine!”

In a chilling duet of threats and brainwashing, Yenir and Ming Luo acted like professional con artists.

Under the barrage of information, the high-ranking officials, already terrified, fell into a state of panic.

    “What does that mean!?”

“Returning through time! And we failed!? And next time the monsters appear again!?”

Could it be the group of ‘monsters’ captured on satellite footage?

    “Agreed! We agree!”

Watching as Yenir, utterly disillusioned with humanity, relentlessly issued nuclear launch commands on his tablet with both hands,

there was no time for further thought, and the entire Federation leadership had no choice but to roar in unison.

    The very next second.

After everyone consented, Yenir fixed his unyielding gaze on Ming Luo, and after a moment, he snorted dismissively and rescinded the command.

“Hand over the authority within ten minutes!”

Facing Yenir’s icy, almost reluctant glare, Ming Luo managed a bitter smile and mockingly patted a high-ranking official’s shoulder.

“Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to explain the situation.”

    “We truly need your cooperation…”

“During our last operation, Yenir was deeply disappointed with the high-ups—one of his comrades died under the assault ordered by ‘you’…”

    “Please, try to understand…”

With that, Ming Luo calmly surveyed the fear and confusion on everyone’s faces, a spark of satisfaction lighting his heart.

Yenir had orchestrated this entire setup—it was working like a charm.

Even the most seasoned high-ranking officials were overwhelmed by his blend of intimidation and coercion.

When dealing with a brute, logic simply doesn’t work.

    ………………….

In a hastily arranged small conference room, the numerous officials brought by Ming Luo listened intently to the ‘story’, their expressions grave and thoughtful.

    “So…”

“Last time, did we really consider you to be genetically modified soldiers of some organization, and then, after not trusting you, send heavy forces to hunt you down?”

“Learning from our previous mistake, Comrade Yenir had no choice but to resort to these threats… in our conversation?”

A puzzled Federal official blinked and glanced at Ming Luo.

In Ming Luo’s fabricated tale, their last operation was nothing short of heroic—a complete tragedy, while the Federation leaders were portrayed as foolish and greedy.

For some reason, hearing this version of events sparked a twinge of remorse among them.

Could it be that their own mistrust forced these people to risk their lives once again to save the world?

In Ming Luo’s narration, he was the one who even issued the order to hunt them down.

Watching with a sorrowful look, Ming Luo slowly nodded.

A sudden jolt ran through the high-ranking Military official’s heart.

Damn it… the man in the story was me…

    Truly cursed…
