Chapter Index

    Boom!!!

A deafening explosion roared low in the sky.

They ziplined through the rain as high-speed currents shattered the droplets into razor-sharp gusts.

Trailing right behind Yenir, Ming Luo and the others remained in a dazed haze.

Watching Yenir lead them straight toward the Inner City, they felt as if they were caught in a surreal dream.

Everything had happened so fast, so unexpectedly.

While they suspected Yenir had his reasons for blowing up the East Sea, no one had foreseen the terrifying disaster that followed.

Even more shockingly, Yenir appeared on cue—as if every detail had been meticulously planned, like a staged performance.

It should have ended with his capture upon landing, locked away in a cell.

But with one system announcement, the entire situation flipped on its head.

The soldiers surrounding them became mere onlookers, and figures like Chen Feng served only as a backdrop.

In the midst of the torrential rain, the events began unfolding in ways they never dared imagine.

Survivors on the ground, taking shelter from the rain, looked up in panic at the streaks of figures overhead, while even those inside buildings craned their necks in disbelief.

The Capital is a no-fly zone.

The last time this scene unfolded, China’s top brass had rushed to the Spirit Tower.

    “Yenir!? We should head down…!”

“This way might not be the best idea…”

“And where exactly are we headed!?”

    Their mouths went dry.

Ming Luo instinctively wanted to warn Yenir.

Their brazen flight had not gone unnoticed; troops responsible for Safe Zone order not far off had already spotted them.

Even though the tide had turned and it was clear Yenir would escape any punishment, perhaps it was wise to keep a low profile at this critical moment.

After all, nothing had been settled yet.

Sharing the same thoughts, Li Hai trailed behind Yenir in a daze, his heart tightening with apprehension.

Just look at this Yenir kid—his stance seemed like he was gearing up to storm ***!?

What is he planning to do!? Is he about to deliver a public smackdown!?

Even though the burly man prided himself on his hot temper—and had been berated by Minister Zhao more than once—he couldn’t help but be dumbfounded watching the far more arrogant Yenir.

Especially after that scene at the airport, which sent chills down his spine.

    However…

    Man, it was damn exhilarating…

Listening to Ming Luo’s worried tone from behind, Yenir, while scrolling through his messages, merely smiled silently:

    “Go kill some people….”

Before anyone could fully react, Yenir surged forward once again—his speed shattering the sonic barrier behind him like a gigantic spike that sent nearby walls trembling.

Ignoring the Safe Zone troops trying to intercept him and his crew, his focus was solely on the high-rise district in East City.

    Arrogant, perhaps?

    Maybe so…

Yenir knew that his own fate might be sealed, and he would soon have to wait for the outcome.

But he was done with waiting.

Playing his two aces would allow him to remain defiant till the very end!

Some say revenge is a dish best served cold, but for Yenir, time was of the essence—every day delayed was pure agony!

If he didn’t take out a batch of them, how could he justify all the hubris they had shown!?

Letting these losers drag on meant they’d never accomplish anything!

With that thought, Yenir nonchalantly messaged Zhao Long and spoke coolly:

“Uncle Zhao, please bring Xiao An.”

    “Wait for me here!”

    …………..

“What nerve! Flying over the Capital!?”

    “Intercept them!”

On the ground, a swarm of guards, startled by the sonic boom, instinctively rushed to intercept. But before they could even launch, several awakened squad captains quickly held back their subordinates.

    “Don’t worry about it!”

    “Let them be!”

    Their faces turned grim.

Ignoring the puzzled stares from their team, those who had received the message managed a resigned smile and explained quietly:

“Higher-ups have ordered us not to meddle in these minor matters for now…”

After that, a few squad captains couldn’t help but glance at their communication channels once more.

Just seconds earlier, they had asked their superiors whether to intercept, only to receive an eerily ambiguous response.

It was as if the higher-ups were playing dumb, subtly indicating that they should stand down.

Facing such an unprecedented situation, they had no choice but to comply.

Meanwhile, at the Capital Security Office:

“Wang Chu, are we really ignoring everything…?”

“That guy… No, Yenir seems set on heading that way… what if something goes wrong…?”

At the monitoring station, a middle-aged man known as Wang Chu raised his hand, silencing his colleague.

He wore a troubled expression, sighed deeply, hesitated for a moment, and then spoke in a somber tone:

    “We can’t control it anymore…”

“Getting involved now would only drag us into a big mess.”

“As long as he doesn’t target certain areas, let him run his course elsewhere.”

“Do you really think if we report this to the Military high-ups, they’d bother with such trivial matters?”

Folding his arms and sighing, the middle-aged man couldn’t help but keep glancing at the fleeting black silhouette on the screen—he recognized the leader as Yenir.

“Right now, the Authorities are all focused on the East Sea…”

“After two consecutive misjudgments and even capturing the wrong person… even if Yenir throws a fit now, the Military will only grudgingly accept it.”

“Let’s wait and see what’s happening over at the East Sea; for the remaining time, let’s act as if we know nothing.”

With that, the middle-aged man coolly shut off the alarm, determined to stay out of the fray.

Everyone could see that Yenir’s actions were most likely aimed at taking revenge on someone.

    But did anyone dare intervene?

The moment the announcement sounded, things spiraled out of control.

He had no intention of getting mixed up in this mess…

It was clear even from a cursory glance that many would end up suffering in the aftermath.

Listening to the layered hints from above, a subordinate who had been planning something was momentarily stunned before understanding the implication.

For some reason, every time he looked at the monitor, a surge of absurdity welled up inside him.

    Incredible—there’s actually a Sea Beast!

How did Yenir even know about it…

This ‘slap’ of a move has truly stunned the entire Military. One can only imagine how close they are to losing it…
