Chapter Index

A dazzling radiance that captivated the soul.

It was as if the rarest treasure in the world commanded every gaze the moment it appeared.

Even Yenir, hidden within the Stone Coffin, felt his heart involuntarily skip a beat as the light broke forth.

Two pieces… It really was two!

Though he owned one himself – which he had barely used in battle.

Yenir knew that it wasn’t because the Legendary Suit was weak; his recent foes were either overwhelmingly strong or woefully feeble, never giving him a chance to showcase its power.

Moreover, the suit’s strength did not lie in a single piece but in their combination!

As the name implies, only a full set of equipment can unleash its true might!

A lone piece might be at epic level – or even a bit less – but when combined, its combat enhancement was nothing short of monstrous!

There was no doubt; the radiant aura surrounding the massive Otherworldly Ghost Monarch was clearly from a perfected set!

“A gem that resembles a necklace!? An ornament worn on the head!?”

He stared fixedly at the two set pieces that had burst from the Otherworldly Ghost, almost wishing he could run up and snatch them away!

Not only a set, but the rarest type at that!

To Yenir, these two pieces seemed to have been forcibly squeezed out from the ghost itself – a huge dark green gem protruded from its chest, emitting a subtle glow.

And another black crystal, emerging from the ghost’s skull like a third eye, instantly burst out black light that enveloped Yinglong.

Unlike the uncontrollable excitement and greed in others, Yinglong felt nothing but sheer astonishment.

In the very instant the two-piece set appeared, he felt his speed drop by more than fifty percent under the barrage of that dark light!

The air in front of him turned almost palpable, an indescribable pressure nearly pinning him in place.

It was as if he were moving in slow motion.

The atmosphere was thick and syrupy – the worst imaginable constraint for an agility-based Awakener!

Moreover, he immediately noticed that the damage he had inflicted on the Otherworldly Ghost Monarch from the start was rapidly healing before his eyes.

That massive gash from his spear strike, which nearly split half of the scapula, began to mend visibly under the green gem’s gleam.

The corpse-like body of the Otherworldly Ghost Monarch slowly regained its flesh color under that energy, as if it were desperately replenishing its life force!

Its aura surged higher and higher!

Under the crushing pressure, Yinglong’s expression turned grim.

    Damn it!

This beast was proving to be far tougher than expected!

Its power was clearly on the rise!

The constant shifts in strength sent a wave of crisis through him!

    “Break it!!”

With the combat acumen of a Peak Third-Stage cultivator, Yinglong roared, swiftly banishing any useless emotions.

Yes, the challenge had increased – but he was stronger!

In an instant, beneath the oppressive black light, a burst of blood shadows exploded, swelling to thirty meters tall and drenching the entire temple in a crimson hue.

Drawing on most of his Blood Shadow Talent, Yinglong seemed to merge with the phantom behind him, transforming into a giant demon!

    “Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!”

Each thunderous step left a deep imprint.

With explosive, savage strength, every step shattered the uniquely hardened stone slabs, sending the earth behind him erupting into a wave-like stone dragon.

    Unstoppable!

Reigniting his suppressed speed, Yinglong roared as he thrust his spear, while the enhanced giant Otherworldly Ghost hurled a massive punch in response.

    “Boom!!!”

In an instant, at the collision point of man and beast, a dazzling burst of light exploded like a solar flare. Extreme heat and shockwaves, accompanied by deafening blasts, swept the entire area.

Gray! Red! They collided in a dazzling melee!

    “Boom!!!”

The surge of light burst forth, with rolling waves of force following its eruption.

Like the shock from a cloud bomb explosion, numerous decorative structures within the temple were swept away by the violent circular gusts.

Even Yenir, hiding at the edge of the battlefield, felt a powerful blast strike the outside of the Stone Coffin, sending it hurtling away instantly.

    Incredible power!

Within the tumbling Stone Coffin, awe flashed in Yenir’s eyes.

Truly worthy of Peak Third-Stage status – Yinglong’s prowess was undoubtedly among the best of the elite!

This strike’s impact rivaled that of a heavy tactical missile! Keep in mind, it was the combined force from their collision – taken head-on, the damage would have been even more terrifying.

Before he could secure the rolling Stone Coffin, Yenir silently praised his luck; after a dizzying moment, he hurriedly flipped open the lid to refocus on the heart of the battlefield.

The earlier explosive clash clearly showed how Yinglong had withstood the pressure – even as his strength waned, he unleashed an even more formidable force.

    Yet, the outcome remained uncertain…

In his view, Yinglong had most likely tapped into his innate talent, with the swelling crimson phantom providing a significant boost.

The explosion came as fast as it faded, and those at the battlefield’s edge instinctively turned inward, their eyes fixed on the center.

At this level of combat, they no longer had any business interfering!

In the temple’s center, a colossal crater resembling a lunar meteor belt had formed. Amid lingering white smoke of searing heat, two figures – one large, one small – faced off.

A dim red spear tip pressed against the punching bone of the Otherworldly Ghost Monarch – as if man and beast were frozen in time after their clash.

But compared to the towering crimson phantom from moments before, the shadow behind Yinglong now looked considerably dimmer, as if most of its strength had been spent.

The massive hand, pinned by the spear tip, was now riddled with deep, fractured lines.

Though it appeared outwardly unharmed, every ounce of Yinglong’s unleashed power seemed to have been channeled into that strike.

Time froze for a brief moment.

After 0.1 seconds, a rapid succession of crisp, bamboo-like cracking sounds filled the air as the Otherworldly Ghost Monarch’s arm began to shatter – its muscle, as tough as material that could block heavy artillery, exploded apart.

    “Bang bang bang bang!”

The explosions continued relentlessly, spreading all the way to its chest.

At a glance, the giant Ghost Monarch seemed to be blasted apart – with muscle tissue flaying outward like a charred sausage in a gruesome display.

    Had he won?!

From afar, onlookers watched the scene in stunned silence.

Having rarely seen Yinglong fight at full power, this strike left them utterly awestruck.

With injuries this severe, it might well have shattered the ghost’s heart!

High in the air at the far rear, Zhang Yuan – who usually couldn’t do much more than distract – now shouted in exhilaration.

Unlike the Blood Shadow members below who barely understood the significance, Zhang Yuan, a longtime follower of Yinglong, knew all too well how fearsome that spear strike was!

    “It’s the Blood Spear!”

With this strike, Master Yinglong had once taken down another Peak Third-Stage Mutant with a single thrust!

    No exaggeration.

This was the most powerful spear thrust that required tapping into his Blood Shadow Talent – and after unleashing it, Yinglong’s strength would be greatly diminished for at least half a year.

This attack wasn’t fueled solely by Yinglong’s own power; it also drew from the special force accrued within his Blood Shadow, equating to the combined full-power strike of two Peak Third-Stage warriors – with a venomous internal explosion that could shatter most bodies at their level!

Though a one-hit kill on the Otherworldly Ghost Monarch might seem outrageous, Zhang Yuan believed it was entirely possible!

After all, while the ghost had abruptly activated its set power, it clearly hadn’t had time to fully unleash its abilities!

Instead, Yinglong pressed on decisively, forcing his way through!

Yet, both Yenir and Yinglong fixed their gaze intently on the Otherworldly Ghost Monarch.

Yenir understood all too well that this dungeon was far from simple.

Meanwhile, Yinglong could clearly feel that under his strike, the monster still had one last breath left!

Without a moment’s hesitation and ignoring his own state of depletion, Yinglong’s expression hardened as he launched another attack!

    “Blood Break!”

Unlike his previous tactics of maintaining distance, this time he activated his Speed-Boost Skill and charged like an avalanche, gripping his Long Spear with both hands and slamming it down with ferocious force.

His target was the critically injured head of the Otherworldly Ghost.

Both the heart and the head shattered simultaneously! He refused to believe this monster could survive!

The challenge was inevitable! But if he acted swiftly enough, he could quash the threat at its cradle. He had always been deeply wary of that set – somehow, this battle exuded an unsettling aura!

Yet, no matter how resolute he was, fate seemed determined to defy him.

In the very next moment, as the tip of his spear was about to pierce the ghost’s skull, twelve light orbs and one black sphere ignited simultaneously around the Monarch.

At the same time, Yinglong, mid-leap in a diving descent, suddenly had his face turn pale.

His Blood Dragon Spear, which had been so reliable, suddenly faltered!

A gossamer-thin yet remarkably resilient shield now blocked his attack.

In his eyes, the Otherworldly Ghost Monarch – which had once been half-blasted apart – was now rapidly healing its injuries.

And a far more powerful aura, subtly surpassing Fourth Stage, began to surge immediately.
