Chapter Index

    4:07 AM.

Outside the Capital Military District, a long-sealed mound of earth trembled.

Seconds later, as if the solid mountain walls beside a train suddenly parted, a pitch-black opening emerged, and three black supersonic fighter jets slid out smoothly.

With a soft roar, they shot into the sky like arrows released from a bow.

“Yenir, we’ll likely reach the Far Frontier in about nine hours,” a pilot announced.

“But keep in mind—we must shut down the engines just outside Canglang City and eject for a low-altitude approach.”

“Otherwise, our movements will be picked up by infrared radar, jeopardizing our next steps.”

Inside the cockpit of the Group 331 fighter jet, Yenir, seated at the rear, listened calmly to the pilot’s briefing before shaking his head in response:

“No need—just adjust our trajectory at high altitude and fly straight over.”

“Head for the Kazakh Basin near the Far Frontier; I’ll send you the precise coordinates shortly.”

    He offered no further explanation.

After speaking, Yenir silently stared at the pale, expansive sky.

Deep in the clouds, the fighter jet resembled a black swordfish, racing rapidly southwest.

He had already been in contact with Tang Hai.

To save time, the Canglang Safe Zone would disable its air defense identification, allowing him to pass through swiftly.

Just as they left the Capital stealthily via a backup combat channel.

For this operation, aside from Li Xuanguo and a few top brass, no other force would learn that Yenir had left the Capital!

Deploying specially made supersonic Spiritual Energy Fighters, his pace was almost as swift as lightning!

    Nine hours…

After landing, another hour of flight should let him catch up with Yinglong…

One hour of combat, one hour to wrap things up…

In no more than fourteen hours, he should have that item in hand…

    His eyes burned with intensity.

After arranging for eight Third-Stage Advanced Awakeners with the Prime Minister and others, Yenir set off directly for the Far Frontier!

No matter how shocked or perplexed Li Xuanguo and the others were about his true intentions,

Yenir knew exactly what he had to do.

With drastic changes looming, his only solution was to seize the Blood Shadow from Yinglong’s grasp as swiftly as possible.

Once he secured the Blood Shadow, his conventional combat strength would rival that of a Peak Third-Stage warrior. With the Sword God System and his innate talent, he could even become invincible among Third-Stage fighters!

In that case, all his problems would be effortlessly solved!

Drawing back his gaze, Yenir refocused on the Far Frontier map.

According to intel from Blood Nightingale, Yinglong himself was suspected of leading a team to inspect one of the subordinate safe zones.

And the coordinates were set outside the main territory of the Bloodshadow Legion, within the Kazakh Region.

Perfect timing, favorable terrain, and harmonious conditions.

One had to admit, upon hearing this news, Yenir marveled at how strangely everything was aligning.

Just when he urgently needed to boost his strength, the Blood Shadow appeared.

And when he sought a way to eliminate Yinglong, that guy had suddenly bolted from the legion.

When he needed reinforcements, Li Xuanguo and the others trusted him implicitly, providing eight Third-Stage Advanced Awakeners to support his mission.

Given that, it’s time to strike!

It wasn’t that more reinforcements couldn’t be summoned,

but once peak-tier warriors were involved, it would only alert Lu Haishan and the others.

Every move by a peak-tier warrior was closely monitored, so Yenir decided to take his team along on his own.

    Yinglong—he’s coming for you!

Yinglong’s entourage included eight Third-Stage Advanced combatants!

If outsiders learned that Yenir’s mission in the Far Frontier was to take down a peak-tier warrior, they’d surely think he was insane.

But Yenir was confident—with Divine Rage and Judgment at his disposal, and with Blood Nightingale’s intel on the enemy’s weaknesses, he was 90% sure he could swiftly kill Yinglong!

After double-checking the coordinates from Blood Nightingale, Yenir scanned his surroundings and exhaled softly.

He could sense that the eight Third-Stage Advanced fighters accompanying him were a bit nervous.

Even though he hadn’t revealed all the details, his brief remarks made it clear they’d be facing at least one peak-tier warrior!

Yet these seasoned elite, long in Military service, would unconditionally follow Yenir’s orders regardless of the foe.

“This mission is a decapitation strike!”

“I hope Yinglong has more Third-Stage Mid-level fighters by his side… as long as Divine Rage triggers, this battle will be much simpler…”

    …………………….

At the Bloodshadow Safe Zone Command Center.

In a dimly lit room, a girl in a red dress sat silently on the edge of a bed.

Crouched in a corner, metal-like chains bound her wrists and ankles tightly, trapping her.

Though she was a Third-Stage, these special restraints made her as helpless as an ordinary person; she could barely stand or move.

With her head buried in her knees, Blood Nightingale repeatedly read the brief messages sent by Yenir.

Not long ago, she had thought that bastard wouldn’t even be intrigued by such secrets and intended to abandon her completely. Yet, half an hour later, Yenir unexpectedly approached her, demanding Yinglong’s whereabouts.

Though she couldn’t be sure if Yenir truly intended to kill Yinglong, for now, she could only pin her hopes on it.

“That bastard… can he really take down Yinglong?”

“I suppose so… with his high standing, last time he even led some kind of super-powered being into battle…”

Anxious and lost in unsettling thoughts.

Perhaps, aside from the devastation of meeting Yenir for the first time, the vulnerable Blood Nightingale couldn’t shake the feeling that an enraged Yinglong might suddenly return at any moment.

She knew all too well that Yinglong had come to suspect her.

If he hadn’t intended to use her as bait, she’d probably have already been tortured beyond recognition.

However, Yinglong’s patience was running thin.

Had it not been for an emergency in the subordinate safe zone, she would have long been captured and interrogated.

“If he really can kill Yinglong… would that bastard take over the Bloodshadow Safe Zone?”

“The Military’s way seems not to involve meddling here…”

“After he gets my information, will he kill me?”

    “Will he take over Bloodshadow?”

“And if he doesn’t take over Bloodshadow, then what will I do?”

Anxious and uneasy, her heart was filled with a bitter melancholy.

To be honest, when it came to other men, she was supremely confident—certain she could toy with anyone, even daring to approach Yinglong in secret.

But for some inexplicable reason, whenever she faced Yenir, he seemed almost inhuman, utterly unmoved by her every tactic.

Cold and merciless, he showed no hint of trustworthiness.

In his ruthless pursuit, he was downright cold-blooded!

If possible, she’d rather have Yenir be just a lecher.

If she could sweet-talk Yenir into killing Yinglong, she wouldn’t mind surrendering herself to him to indirectly reclaim the safe zone her father once founded.

But the very thought of Yenir…

For some inexplicable reason, Blood Nightingale couldn’t help but shudder.

She always felt that once that bastard learned the secret of the Blood Shadow from her, he would kill her to silence the leak…
