Chapter Index

    Who exactly are you!?

The moment he burst onto the scene, just as Yenir was roughly dragging half of Park Chan-eun in preparation to activate the Evil God Ritual, a vigilant Korean third-stage fighter—who had just regrouped with his comrades—unexpectedly spoke up.

Before Yenir could reply, the leading peak third-stage fighter, his eyes wide in disbelief much like Huo Jianguo, spoke again:

    “You’re not Vietnamese!”

“China’s score just went up! You’re a Huaguo Awakener!!”

    Huh!?

Yenir stood momentarily stunned, then noticed that the Huaxia Battle Zone’s score had inexplicably ticked upward.

Judging by the increase, it was evident that a Korean Battle Zone Awakener had been slain.

Even Yenir, who was poised to strike, hadn’t paid attention to that detail.

Instinctively, he glanced into the distance—when he saw the Korean fighter, who had been dispatched in one swift stroke by Nguyen Tianming, sprawled on the ground, everything suddenly fell into place.

He never imagined that once Nguyen Tianming had been transformed into an Otherworldly Ghost, the System would count him as one of his own. Every kill by Nguyen Tianming now added points to Huaguo’s tally.

In that instant, the Korean Awakeners, shocked by his bizarre power, had peeked at the scoreboard and instantly uncovered his true identity!

Tension and unease gripped the air.

Gazing at the demonic visage of Yenir, every Awakener in the Korean Battle Zone turned pale.

To them, the very idea that this mysterious figure was a Huaguo Awakener was more terrifying than any ghost story!

If Yenir were truly from the Vietnamese Battle Zone, they might chalk it up to bad luck. Who would have thought Vietnam would secretly send such a formidable force?

But if he was from the Huaxia Battle Zone…

    That would be utterly absurd!!

    There’s no other explanation.

Which of the present third-stages didn’t immediately connect the dots!?

A little thought revealed two horrifying possibilities!

Either Huaguo had found a way to deceive the System to enter the national war—a loophole that even with so many Peak Third-Stage fighters, still had them marked as the weakest!

Or Huaguo had sent only Yenir, and then wiped out the entire Vietnamese Battle Zone in one fell swoop!

Clearly, only three Peak Third-Stage fighters remained, utterly loyal to Yenir—and something just didn’t add up!

Regardless, they all sensed that a massive conspiracy was unfolding.

The first possibility suggested that the Huaxia Battle Zone might be deceiving them not only in the war but even with false internal intel! How else could it be explained!?

The second pointed to Huaguo planning a game-changing strategy in this war, their ambition boundless!

After a flurry of conjectures, even Yenir hadn’t expected the Korean Awakeners to be so desperate to flee the national war.

“Who exactly are you?! What are you Huaguo people planning?!”

“Let’s get out of here! We promise we won’t oppose you!”

“Captain, we don’t want any part of this! Don’t force us!”

    The situation shifted rapidly.

Overwhelmed by their own panic, the leading Korean peak fighter couldn’t help but speak again.

He had a gut feeling that countless Huaxia troops might be lurking all around!

Damn it—who would have thought that the supposedly weakest Huaxia Battle Zone was merely playing possum, only to emerge as the most fearsome side!

Listening to the Korean Awakeners, Yenir raised an eyebrow, instantly sensing that they had misunderstood something.

Alright, maybe it wasn’t much of a misunderstanding after all.

Anyone encountering him would likely think the same. And indeed, that was exactly the case.

Maybe… we can use this to our advantage?

In the eerie silence of the standoff, all that could be heard was the steady drip of blood from underneath Park Chan-eun.

After a brief pause, Yenir decided to press his advantage and intimidate them:

    “Heh heh heh…”

“Looks like you’ve already figured it out…”

    BOOM!!

In an instant, as Yenir launched the Evil God Ritual, a colossal black magic array materialized beneath his feet.

Suddenly, the sky darkened, and a towering blood-red light shot up from nowhere.

After countless sinister whispers echoed around him, the black-mist-shrouded Yenir transformed in the blink of an eye into a massive, demonic presence.

An oppressive aura surged from the depths like a burst from the abyss, sending the Korean Battle Zone Awakeners reeling in shock!

The display was so horrifying that even the Huaguo Military, hidden in the distance, was taken aback.

To their eyes, Yenir had become a dungeon boss come to life—the very special effects around him were utterly chilling!

The rapidly expanding magic array spread out as if heralding the arrival of something profoundly malevolent.

Even Wang Tiejun, who knew full well that Yenir wasn’t a monster, couldn’t help but gape in astonishment.

What the hell is this power?!

How can Yenir transform so many times?!

Meanwhile, Yenir—attempting his first Evil God Ritual—couldn’t hide his own astonishment.

Admittedly, the Evil God Ritual truly lived up to its name, its display impressively formidable.

Even though he had initiated it himself, watching it from an outsider’s perspective would have been equally shocking.

While the ritual barely boosted his own power, it sure made for an impressive show—its impact outclassing his other forms…

The Korean Awakener said it all.

After his deliberate act of intimidation and the ritual display, the guessing Korean Awakeners suddenly turned pale, as if struck by a startling realization—many third-stage fighters broke out in cold sweat!

Perhaps even Yenir wasn’t aware that among the three major incidents in the Korean Battle Zone, several were linked to the Evil God.

Maybe it was a pre-apocalypse social phenomenon; after the end times, the survivors in the Korean Battle Zone—given their cultish tendencies—had inadvertently triggered numerous bizarre incidents.

Each incident inevitably turned vast regions into forbidden zones!

To the Korean Awakeners, the menace of the Evil God events far surpassed that of super-mutants!

Such events usually involved massive sacrifices—any survivor in the area would die under mysterious, gruesome circumstances!

And afterward, eerie, almost indestructible supernatural entities would emerge from the sacrificed zones!

Remarkably, with these repeated events, many among them even attempted to fast-track their ascent by willingly sacrificing their own.

Yet so far, none had managed to succeed.

Perhaps for that reason, the Korean Battle Zone had come to view anything related to the Evil God or its cult as the gravest threat—one misstep could bring down an entire battle zone!

As if struck by sudden insight, one Korean Awakener shouted, his finger trembling as he pointed at Yenir:

    “I’ve got it!”

“You Huaguo folks have harnessed the Evil God events! Most of your people have been sacrificed!!!”

“Oh my God! You’ve been luring us into your battle zone all along?!”

“Are you trying to conjure a super monster with these sacrifices?!”

Listening to these Korean guys spouting wild conspiracy theories, Yenir was momentarily taken aback—a strange feeling stirred within him.

    What?

Do they really think he’s the mastermind behind some grand conspiracy?

At a loss for words yet sensing their thoughts, and encouraged by the effect it had, Yenir pressed on, his voice booming:

“It seems… you know more than you let on…”

“Submit to me and become my mighty minions!”

“Otherwise, you’ll be the very first to be sacrificed!”

As soon as his words fell, Yenir ordered Hakechi and the others, who had been disguising themselves, to remove their masks.

In an instant, the already panicked Korean fighters became even more horrified.

In their eyes, Hakechi clearly looked like a third-stage fighter from another battle zone—and when combined with Yenir’s control over the Vietnamese Battle Zone, a vast conspiracy suddenly took shape in their minds.

Even peak third-stage fighters from neighboring nations were in trouble—could it be that Huaguo had long been concocting an earth-shattering plot? Is this national war nothing but a trap to sacrifice forces from various countries?!

Feigning internal strife to lure in third-stage fighters from surrounding nations…

Making them believe there was an opportunity, when in reality they were being used as mere fodder?!

And during the national war, will the Awakeners wielding the Evil God power sacrifice countless peak third-stage fighters?! After all this…

For some inexplicable reason, a sudden thought flashed through the minds of all the Korean Awakeners.

“The Huaguo people have lost their minds! They’re artificially creating the Evil God!”

    This world…

    is coming to an end!
