Chapter Index

    Who are you!?

A shudder of dread ran through him.

In the instant Yenir’s voice rang out, Zhang Yu felt as if a colossal, ferocious beast had appeared behind him. Although it showed no killing intent, the sight froze him solid with fear.

Even for a Peak Third-Stage fighter, an enemy striking from behind was an intolerable horror!

This distance is way too close!

They were so near that no matter how strong his defenses, his head could be taken off in an instant!

He couldn’t fathom how his foe had silently materialized right behind him.

In that moment, Zhang Yu’s only thought was to run—put enough distance between himself and the threat!

For someone to get this close and still avoid detection, their willpower must be overwhelmingly superior!

But before he could even feel the ground crumble beneath his feet as he bolted away, three rapid Mind Shocks—faster than anyone could react—hammered his head like iron hammers.

    Bang! Bang! Bang!!

With a surprise attack and sheer attribute domination, the Southeast Asian Battle Zone Joint Captain crumpled like a dead dog at the very first exchange.

After three successive Mental Shocks, the next one hit like a solid blast of air, slamming the dazed Zhang Yu into the ground.

In the blink of an eye, Zhang Yu—too slow to even activate his Spirit Energy defense—collapsed as if dead, with blood slowly oozing from beneath him.

    You betrayed us!?

    Run!!

It all happened so abruptly, far beyond what the Southeast Asian Awakeners had ever imagined.

After the initial shock, realizing they had all fallen into a trap, a Southeast Asian Peak Fighter—ignoring even Zhang Yu—roared in anger and prepared to bolt away like a soaring sword!

What a joke! Their strongest, Zhang Yu, was one-shot! For such a fearsome force hiding among the Koreans to strike them, it was clearly premeditated!

Traps everywhere! Staying still means death!!

Faces contorted with terror, the Southeast Asian Third-Stage fighters scattered like frightened birds in a mad dash.

In that instant, everyone cursed themselves for having so easily trusted those damn Koreans!

Meanwhile, Yenir—who had just taken Zhang Yu down in a flash—simply stared at him lying there, exasperated.

    Hmm…

    That was way too feeble…

Used to dueling the mightiest from two battle zones, he had deliberately channeled over half his power into that Mind Shock.

But he hadn’t expected that even though the Southeast Asian Battle Zone rated well in the system’s evaluations, their individual strength was utterly lacking.

He meant only to intimidate and control his foe, yet three Mind Shocks later, the guy just kicked the bucket!

    Hmm, wait, something’s off.

He wasn’t truly dead—his willpower was just too low, and he had been knocked unconscious instead.

The pool of blood on the ground was nothing more than a superficial cut on his head.

    Capture them!!

Seeing the Southeast Asian fighters fleeing in terror, with not even the slightest will to resist, Yenir helplessly signaled his men to attack.

Fortunately, he had anticipated their escape. With his pre-converted Peak Otherworldly Ghost and hundreds of Third-Stage Advanced fighters ready, rounding up this group wouldn’t be a problem.

    Yet…

    Boom!! Boom!!

    Combat erupted in an instant.

On one side, the Southeast Asian Awakeners panicked as they realized they’d been duped; on the other, the fearless Peak Otherworldly Ghost under Yenir’s control showed no fear of death.

In a flash, both sides plunged into a chaotic brawl, with bursts of dazzling spirit energy exploding in the air like missiles.

But compared to the fighters Yenir had rounded up from various nations, the Southeast Asian Awakeners were generally much weaker. Outnumbered and disorganized, they stood no chance.

Soon enough, when Yenir himself intervened and unleashed a Mind Storm that knocked one of the fastest Third-Stage Peak fighters from the sky, the battle was swiftly over.

Watching the floor filled with captured Southeast Asians forced to surrender, Yenir’s mood soured.

    What a miscalculation…

He had overlooked that at this stage, even Third-Stage Peak fighters were mostly all bluster.

Especially in a battle zone like Southeast Asia, where several small nations band together, the resulting Third-Stage Peak fighters were even more overrated!

So much so that his plan fell apart, prompting these idiots to run off.

Although they eventually failed to escape, the deaths of these few would no doubt raise suspicions in the Japanese Battle Zone and beyond.

    Master!

Eighty-six Southeast Asian Awakeners were captured, including every single Third-Stage Peak fighter!

We suffered 3 fatalities, while they lost 6 and had 37 critically injured!

Kneeling on one knee, Hakechi—who, like Yenir, barely qualifies as a half Willpower user—respectfully reported the battle results.

As a half Willpower user, he played a pivotal role in this sudden onslaught.

A single Mental Shock was enough to slow down a Third-Stage opponent. In a one-on-one Peak matchup, he might not have had the advantage.

But with support, his impact was greatly amplified!

Nodding slightly while listening to Hakechi’s report, Yenir sighed inwardly. He knew that losses were inevitable.

Although he felt no sorrow over losing the Four Seasons Song Third-Stage Advanced fighters, the deduction of points really irked him.

    Especially…

Nearly everyone who died fell by the hand of Hakechi and his group, and yet the blame fell on me.

    The Huaxia Battle Zone’s points… damn it…

Yenir wasn’t sure whether to thank the system’s calculation method or simply shake his head in disbelief.

Meanwhile, on the score panel, the Huaxia Battle Zone’s points had soared again, still in first place!

The score ranking he had deliberately faked, which had been marginally acceptable, was now instantly upended.

The weakest team, Huaxia Battle Zone, held first place, while the ‘strongest’—actually the latest to join, Southeast Asia Joint Battle Zone—ended up at the bottom…

Such bizarre score rankings could only make one exclaim, ‘What the heck?!’

At the same time, a mass of captured Southeast Asian Awakeners stared in horror at Hakechi and his allies kneeling before Yenir. They felt as though they were witnessing a ghost—their minds utterly dazed.

What the heck!? Why are Third-Stage Peak fighters from other battle zones kneeling before this kid!?

What the heck!? Aren’t those Huaguo!

What the heck!? Isn’t that the Third-Stage Peak fighter from Vietnam!?

    Heaven have mercy.

When everyone under Yenir’s control appeared before them, the Southeast Asian Awakeners were gripped by sheer terror!

At first, they assumed the South Korean Battle Zone had broken the pact and joined forces with another zone to strike them.

    But now it appeared…

    These damn Koreans…

    No!

Weren’t all the people from every nation already controlled by this kid!?

What on earth is going on!?

If word got out, it would be explosive news—sure to send shockwaves through all of Asia’s battle zones!

One person controlling four or five nations—how on earth can they fight that!?
