    …..

    Rewards flooding in.

Clutching a pile of equipment and materials, Yenir sighed as he quickly sorted through them, keeping what was useful and discarding the useless.

If there was one shortcoming to this dungeon run, it was that in the earlier rounds he slacked off — many mutants weren’t even involved in the kill, not to mention he missed out on the ultimate killing blow. Plus, in the end he could only force a one-hit kill on everyone, leaving no time to loot the fallen.

Apart from the Blood Wolf Squad that he personally eliminated, everyone else’s gear had been ‘exploded’ from the temporary storage of Blood Wolf members, or they had been killed by the sandworm and their bodies were immediately ‘swallowed’ by the system.

If he hadn’t defeated the hidden boss, his rating would have been a pitiful B-Class.

After venting about the system’s nastiness, Yenir wasn’t too upset.

A typical second-tier fighter’s equipment isn’t much, and his account was almost empty anyway.

At least he got the big score – by a rough count, the Blood Wolf Squad alone provided him with 22 pieces of white equipment.

Not to mention what Lin Lan and the dungeon settlement awarded him.

This time he netted a total of 24 pieces of white equipment, 4 pieces of blue equipment (3+1), plus 1 blue material and a heap of white junk. Oh, and Credit Points as well.

    By the numbers…

24 pieces of white equipment – the Blood Wolf Squad’s gear was all low-end treasures. Each piece was worth at least 1500 points in Credit Points.

Selling all the blue equipment would fetch no less than 240,000 points… With Lin Lan’s adding in over 10,000, it all comes to 290,000 points!

    The total left him stunned.

“Holy crap… I’m actually this rich?”

Yenir’s heart skipped a beat; he hadn’t expected to achieve all his original goals from a single run.

With his remaining 40,000-plus points and unsold materials, his net worth had soared past 350,000 points! Translated to pre-apocalypse money, that’s three to five billion – more than enough to support an Awakener Squad.

Indeed, nothing in this world is as swift as grabbing cash… especially when you can swindle a third-tier fighter like Lin Lan.

If other third-tier fighters found out how rich he was, their greed would be unstoppable – everyone would want a share.

After a moment of reflection, Yenir decided not to overthink it.

He was flush with cash now, but it was still temporary. In his past life, after the Capital confirmed his potential to break through to fourth tier, the Credit Points thrown at him were calculated in millions, even billions. Once in second tier, maxing out attributes and securing various buffs required precious items – let alone later tiers.

Those resources were sky-high in price, and even the wealthy found them hard to come by.

    …….

After leaving the dungeon, Yenir stood at its entrance, intently examining a few pieces of blue-quality gear and items.

He was now torn between selling all his equipment or keeping some for his own use.

The blue gear he snagged from Lin Lan was all low-end treasures.

Blood Soul Armor – boosting both Constitution and Strength, and even comes with a weak Blood-Red Shield Skill that consumes mental energy to offset attacks. For him at this stage, it was undoubtedly a lifesaver.

At the very least, when facing opponents of the same tier, it provided defense equivalent to that of a constitution-type fighter. Against slightly weaker second-tier foes, even standing still meant his enemy had to struggle to land a hit.

Blood-Breaking Leg Armor increased his Agility and came with a Leg Blade Skill. Combined with the Spiked Thunder Boots, his close-combat burst potential shot up dramatically.

Apart from the Frostflame Gauntlets, he could effectively use both of these.

And then there was 【Boi’er’s Desire】…

Looking at the blue gear dropped by a mid-level third-tier mutant, Yenir felt oddly reluctant to sell it.

    “【Boi’er’s Desire】 – Blue Necklace”

    “Stats: +3 Strength, +3 Agility, +3 Constitution, +3 Willpower”

“Effect: After killing an Awakener, there’s a chance to directly devour the corpse and absorb a portion of the target’s highest attribute (up to 3 points at a time).”

    “Skill: Spatial Tunneling (Downgraded)”

“Spatial Tunneling (Downgraded): When activated, you can carve out an underground tunnel that drains a bit of mental strength every second based on the situation. While underground, you gain extra stealth, reducing the chance of being detected.”

“Review: Boi’er’s – Designed by an engineer with royal blood from *** World. Though his lineage is thin, at least he can tunnel.”

    *** World? Royal blood?

Despite the unfamiliar description, Yenir knew this was a top-tier piece.

After all, the value of its corpse-devouring effect was comparable to that of epic equipment.

    It’d be a shame to sell it…

Out of the four pieces of blue gear, he intended to keep three. Out of 24 pieces of white equipment, he planned to retain six.

After a quick mental calculation, Yenir opted for the optimal solution.

Sell what you can – raise all attributes to 20. Before 20, the Credit Points consumed aren’t much, and he’d still have enough left after buying Spiritual Energy Fruits.

Keeping the gear maximizes his combat power and speeds up his leveling.

He was absolutely confident in his resource-gathering speed. A few more dungeon runs and some extra gear would be a breeze for him.

Rather than wasting early resources to force his attributes to 25, it was smarter to maximize combat power. As challenges grew tougher, he couldn’t always pull out his trump card at the last minute.

As for the Flash Step Slash skill, he was considering swapping it out. With plenty of Credit Points on hand, why not invest in a better alternative?

Saving those Credit Points to buy skills, vehicles, and booster items would skyrocket his combat prowess!

And most importantly, Yenir worried that even if he completed the Sword God mission and gained epic equipment…

it would be too conspicuous – so conspicuous that it would spark greed in anyone.

In his ‘weak’ early days, he wouldn’t have been able to protect such an item. Once exposed, which Awakener wouldn’t want to kill him and snatch his gear?

With that thought, Yenir decisively summoned Li Dafu.

    Swish

With a flash of white light, a dazed Li Dafu appeared out of nowhere.

“Master, why did you call me?”

Glancing at Li Dafu—clad head to toe in the gear Yenir had dumped on him, looking rather shabby—Yenir smirked as he transferred all his Credit Points to him, along with a pair of blue gauntlets and a heap of materials:

    “Sell everything!”

“Get me 2 Strength Fruits, 2 Agility Fruits, and 5 Constitution Fruits.”

“Also, buy me all the items for Constitution Recovery, Speed Boost, and Critical Boost!”

“And arrange for a B-Rank Sword Technique book and a Spiritual Energy Vehicle.”

After rattling off his demands, Yenir planned to top up his supplies – estimating a cost of about 160,000 Credit Points.

With Li Dafu’s talent factored in, he’d still have over 10,000 Credit Points left after the purchase.

Standing dumbfounded, Li Dafu’s eyes widened as he listened to Yenir’s list of demands and the newly transferred Credit Points.

“Good heavens! Kidnapping your own master – how rich can he be!?”

Having mingled with highway survivors for a while, he knew just how rare Credit Points were.

Back in the day, scoring a few hundred points was like New Year’s – people would tear up with excitement. After all, 10 points could land you a beautiful woman, and 20 points could let you live like an emperor for a day!

But for Yenir, expenses started at hundreds of thousands.

Thinking of his 5% commission, he trembled as he imagined how much he could earn.

A surge of happiness nearly knocked him out.

Suddenly, he felt that being forced into this line of work under Yenir wasn’t so bad – compared to the old days of starving and taking steel rods to the face!

In that moment, Li Dafu envisioned a bright new life awaiting him.

After tossing aside the merchandise to be sold, Yenir watched an excited Li Dafu with a wry smile.

Moments later, a familiar system prompt echoed again.

Ding: Your servant Li Dafu has been moved by your trust. Loyalty increased by 1 point. Current Loyalty: 62
