Chapter Index

With mounting anticipation, Song Chi called upon the Dominion Power of the Omniverse Market, sending out a sliver of his consciousness.

A Seventh-Tier peak deity and an ancient, ten-thousand-year-old evil god—the scale of wealth in his Divine Realm treasury was easy to imagine.

It was just unfortunate the arrivals of Spider Matriarch Rose and Moon Goddess Elune were so swift, he barely had any time to pillage the riches within the God of the Hunt’s realm.

Now, all he could hope for was that this divine corpse of the God of the Hunt carried more good items, perhaps something like internal storage.

His gaze fell first on the black crystal beside the high-grade Void Beast Hide.

Yet, at first glance, Song Chi only felt resignation.

This black crystal was the final thing gripped by his Sky Shaman Grand Hand Seal. He’d hoped it was the entire Black Gemstone Crown, but it was now clear he’d been overly optimistic.

The seal had only managed to snatch a single black gem from the Black Gemstone Crown.

One small comfort for Song Chi: though this wasn’t the full Black Gemstone Crown, the black gem itself shone with a golden light.

With a sweep of his mind, the oddity traits of the black gemstone quickly surfaced.

    [Oddity: Eternal Night Gemstone]

    [Quality: Gold]

    [Convertible: None]

[Note: A mystical stone born in the lands of eternal night on the Gods’ Continent, brimming with immense energy, though it appears somehow incomplete.]

    ……

After he finished reviewing the gem’s attributes, Song Chi’s brow furrowed.

His guess had been right—this was the black gem inlaid on the Black Gemstone Crown. Yet, with no way to convert it into a battleship component, it was useless to him.

“The Eternal Night Crown, huh… Best case, the Moon Goddess ends up with it.”

He muttered this and stopped paying attention to the gem, simply listing the Eternal Night Gemstone in the Oddities Exchange Shop, placing it right beneath the Origin Materia Stone display.

If the incomplete Eternal Night Crown really fell into the hands of the Crescent Moon Matriarch’s patron, the Moon Goddess, the Crescent Moon Tribe would surely do everything to get this gem back. That’s why he put it in such a prominent spot in the shop.

If things panned out that way, this involved a Supreme Black Oddity. He might not be able to drive up the price outrageously, but at the very least, he could trade it for significant gains within their limits.

    ……

Song Chi’s focus returned to the high-grade Void Beast Hide, and he hesitated.

Considering for a moment, he carefully channeled Dominion Power to attempt opening the hidden space inside the Void Beast Hide.

    Hiss!

Just as he cracked it open a sliver, a prickling pain shot through his whole body and abruptly halted Song Chi’s next move.

Glancing at his arm, he discovered goosebumps had sprung up unnoticed, and even a couple of fleshy buds twitched beneath his skin.

“Mutational radiation… It’s not particularly strong, with both Dominion Power and the Heavenly Ruin’s hull shielding me, yet it still can’t be completely suppressed.”

Reaching this conclusion, Song Chi’s expression turned grim.

If he couldn’t solve this problem, it’d be tough to refine the God of the Hunt’s divine remains by hand. Ultimately, though, his own life essence just wasn’t at a high enough level.

As thoughts raced through his mind, his eyes suddenly lit up.

The Dominion Power quickly gathered under his will, forming a square, sealed-off space above the secret realm, the Void Beast Hide brought inside as well.

Next, the hatch of the Heavenly Ruin opened below. Two Void Shadow Assassin Warriors and a Fallen Angel Warrior shot out, each marked with a mental imprint.

Once inside the sealed space, the three terracotta warriors obeyed Song Chi’s mental commands and started working to open the Void Beast Hide’s internal space.

At first, nothing much happened as the space gradually opened, until the God of the Hunt’s body, shrunk to a mere kilometer, was finally freed from its confines and hovered in midair within the Market Heavens’ sealed chamber.

That was when things went sideways. Even with solid isolation, Song Chi—safe within the Heavenly Ruin—suddenly felt stabbing pains erupt in his head, a flood of whispers echoing at the edge of his hearing.

“Even the mental imprints can be corrupted…?”

With the cause plain, he instantly severed the mental links attached to the puppets.

When the mark vanished, his mind cleared right up—gone was the strange discomfort.

A high-tier evil god, and this is how terrifying it is?

A little shaken, Song Chi erased any plans that involved direct personal participation.

Mind whirling, he stirred up the Market Heavens with a surge of energy. The next instant, a massive hand formed of space and light law reached down, easily breaking through the spatial barrier and descending on the God of the Hunt’s remains within.

Song Chi prepared to refine the divine body using this remote, indirect strategy.

But after just two days, he decided to abandon the method.

    It was just too slow!

Even under normal circumstances, refining a peak Seventh-Tier divine body was no small feat. Only with the peak Dominion Power of the Market did it speed up at all.

But refining at a distance blunted even that strength, slowing the process to a crawl.

After two days of careful observation, Song Chi figured that using this method would take at least several decades.

Seeing he’d have to refine it up close after all, Song Chi stopped dawdling.

Outside, at the top floor of Taibai Trading Co.

Fresh out of the Market, Song Chi swiftly took out his Yaoguang Star Order.

“Jingzhe (Order #32): @Everyone, urgent! I’m in desperate need of high-tier gear to resist mutational radiation. Borrowing is fine, too! I can pay in Star Tower Mall points or sixth-tier Floating-Land Origin!”

“Scorching Sun (Order #19): I’ve got a red-quality [Pseudo-Evil God Core]. Is that any good to you?”

“Jingzhe (Order #32): Red probably isn’t enough. Silver-quality is best.”

“Scorching Sun (Order #19): Seriously? Didn’t expect that from you. Did you actually run into a real foreign evil god?”

“Lancang (Order #16): Radiation-protective components, huh… That’s pretty rare stuff. Never heard of high-tier models.”

“Yulong (Order #17): @Jingzhe, I’ll keep an eye out for you, sis.”

    ……

Seeing that even his fellow Yaoguang Star Tower members didn’t have one on hand, Song Chi’s gut twisted with unease.

He knew better than anyone the kind of resources their group had—if even they came up empty, then finding such a part in the near future would be borderline impossible.

He was about to have Dragon-Spine Continent, Shen Youran, Pan Ying, Wang Zhen, and the rest keep an eye out, and even planned to contact ‘Scorching Sun’—Gary Farandy—when someone suddenly tagged him in the Star Order group chat.

“Heavenly Dragon (Order #4): @Jingzhe (Order #32), I happen to have something. See if it’ll work for you.”

With that, a second message landed in the chat—a screenshot of the item’s stats.

    Radiation Shield Membrane lv70

    Quality: Silver

Trait 1: Can resist radiation at +1 category

Trait 2: Continuously absorbs ambient exotic energy, reducing the chance of the battleship being detected by other creatures or radar

    ……

Delight bubbled up in Song Chi’s heart—this component was the perfect counter to the divine corpse’s mutational radiation.

    “Jingzhe (Order #32): Perfect!”

As he quickly replied, Song Chi recalled a bit about Heavenly Dragon (Order #4).

Much like Corpse Dog, Heavenly Dragon was also an extreme daredevil captain. Rumor had it he walked the path of the Law of Gold, with his flagship boasting unmatched offensive power. Still, he almost never spoke in group chat, so his reputation stayed low-key.

“Jingzhe (Order #32): Uncle Dragon, do you want Star Tower Mall points or sixth-tier Floating-Land Origin?”

“Heavenly Dragon (Order #4): Forget it, just take it. I’ll log onto Star Tower right now and hand it to you!”

    ……

Sure enough, Heavenly Dragon didn’t want any payment.

Soon, Song Chi received the [Radiation Shield Membrane] from him, completely intact, after a seamless removal.

Back in the Market, Song Chi swapped out the Water Molecule Shield Membrane for the Radiation Shield Membrane.

Of course, beforehand, he used the Destiny Compass to reset the Water Molecule Shield Membrane to its original state.

No way around it—along with the Viral Spore Repulsion Membrane, Song Chi’s Heavenly Ruin could only fit two shell-type shield components at a time, so one had to be removed first.

The Void Shroud is a stealth component, so it doesn’t count toward that limit.

With a level 70 Radiation Shield Membrane, Song Chi no longer had any worries and piloted the battleship straight into the sealed-off space overhead.

Enveloped inside the chamber, Song Chi inside the Heavenly Ruin felt perfectly fine—not a hint of discomfort.

His worries put to rest, he formally began direct refinement of the God of the Hunt’s divine remains, reinforcing the process with Dominion Power.

Don’t let the dead body fool you—there was still a lot packed inside this divine husk.

Divine power, godhood, godly essence, divinity-infused blood—all of them were extremely valuable.

Consider divine power: made from the purest faith energies, if claimed by another god, it could be converted into massive faith reserves—a huge boon.

As for godly essence, it came from the soul force of gods. Song Chi, always lacking Dominion Souls, could extract some from this just as well.

    ……

While channeling everything into extracting the divine remnants, Song Chi used part of his mind to search the God of the Hunt’s body for any unexpected spoils.

The most striking was, naturally, the blood-red spear locked in its right hand, radiating a golden aura.

This was one of the two oddities the God of the Hunt personally wielded in life. After being blasted by the Celestial Godslayer Cannon, this golden sanctum-tier spear never left his grip.

Concentrating, Song Chi checked the spear’s oddity traits.

    [Oddity: Blood Spear]

    [Quality: Gold]

    [Convertible: {Blood Spear}]

[Note: This pseudo-artifact was wielded by the God of the Hunt on the Gods’ Continent before ascending, having been bathed in the blood of countless enemies and gods. After nearly ten thousand years of divine cultivation, it has reached the rank of golden sanctum oddity.]

Seeing that it could be converted into a ship component—specifically, a super main cannon—Song Chi’s spirits soared and the detailed specs floated before his eyes.

    Blood Spear lv0

    Quality: Gold

Trait 1: If this cannon strikes a fleshy creature, damage is tripled

Trait 2: Power boosted by 190%

    Trait 3: True Shieldbreaker

    Trait 4: Blood Judgment

Trait 5: God of the Hunt’s Weak Point Mark

    Cost: 800/shot (Eunergy Points)

    Attack: 290

    Charge: 30s; Cooldown: 90s

Upgrade Needs: 40 wisps of zero-tier Floating-Land Origin, 4000 Eunergy Points, 1 Blood Crystal

    {True Shieldbreaker: see details}

    {Blood Judgment: Consumes 100,000 Eunergy Points. After a two-minute charge, conjures a divine spear of blood to pass judgment upon a chosen target. Cooldown: 720 hours.}

    {God of the Hunt’s Weak Point Mark: Consumes 100,000 Eunergy Points. Marks a target’s critical weak spot. The next cannon attack from any ship-mounted weapon is guaranteed to hit this point, dealing bonus true damage equal to the original hit. Cooldown: 1 year.}

The rest of the stats were typical for a golden-tier super main cannon. What really caught Song Chi’s eye were Traits 1 and 5.

Trait 1 meant every shot against living creatures would deal triple damage—massively boosting the Blood Spear’s lethality.

But the “Weak Point Mark” was truly top-tier. Ignore the simple description—it triggered a second round of true damage with the next hit from any ship main weapon.

Imagine landing this mark, then firing up “Ninefold Violet Heaven World-Ending Calamity Thunder”—the target would eat two rounds of that devastating blast in one go.

That single feature alone easily made this an elite trait.

The World-Ending Thunder already pushed the converted Star-Annihilator Cannon to its limits, serving as a guaranteed kill move each time. Now, imagine doubling up on that thunder against a single target—the effect was staggering.

Handling the super main cannon component with care, Song Chi didn’t rush to equip it.

There was only one super main cannon slot on the Heavenly Ruin, already filled by the Myriad-Spirit Annihilation Bow, and the Destiny Compass’s ‘Return to Origins’ perk had just been used recently.

Besides, upgrading this super cannon required Blood Crystals—a hard-to-find resource he didn’t have right now.

He quickly directed a portion of his awareness to his Voidform Avatar stationed outside, asking it to notify Pan Yuan to try and acquire Blood Crystals ahead of time. Then Song Chi dove back into the long process of refining.

Even though refining up close cut the time drastically, it wasn’t something he’d finish in just ten or twenty days.

Over a dozen days later, the Long-Range Random Space Gate Transfer Platform was ready again after cooling down.

Song Chi didn’t cancel this Market transaction. Instead, his Sovereign Avatar proceeded to open it as usual.

The reason was simple: he wanted to keep the Crescent Moon Tribe guessing.

Anyone could tell—the Crescent Moon Matriarch had definitely sensed the silk trace left by Spider Matriarch Rose. He needed this Market deal to go through smoothly to avoid suspicion.

This wasn’t just to maintain the mystique and authority of the ‘Omniverse Market Master’ persona, but also to quietly probe for clues about where the incomplete Eternal Night Crown might finally end up.

    Chapter Summary
