Chapter 607: Clash Above the Black Serpent Lands
by xennovelA surge of space ripples swept through and the Mirror Warship vanished from its original spot, instantly reappearing at the very top of this crimson domain.
It might have seemed like an ordinary scene, but every captain watching the fight felt a chill in their hearts. Something had changed in the way they looked at the Mirror Warship.
Especially those inside the depths of the domain—no one understood the restrictive power of the Domain of the Gods better than they did.
“The warship must have at least a gold-grade Flash-displacement Component!”
That was the unanimous thought running through their minds.
But Song Chi didn’t care about the surrounding captains. His eyes burned with focus, locked onto the mech giant below.
With the Omniverse Market and his Starlight Flash Spirit Stone Talisman equipped, he could leave whenever he wished; even so, he stayed.
Facing a prodigy from the Akleimon royal line of the Divine Federation, one also commanding a Dreadnought, was a rare opportunity.
After hundreds of years rising in the Omniverse Market, he’d long wanted to see how he now compared to the true monsters of the Four Great Divine Dynasties.
Of course, before all this, that Supreme Black Oddity had already been delivered into the Market by his enslaved creatures using the Market-Walking Token.
As these thoughts sped through his mind in a split second, the mech giant below had already moved in response.
Blood-red energy flowed over the mech’s frame. Empowered by the domain, it moved at a wild, incredible speed.
The black-bladed greatsword lifted high and, together with the mech, shot into the heavens as a streak of afterimage.
Song Chi narrowed his eyes. With his mind racing, another golden component aboard the Mirror Warship, the Pusa Zen Seal, was immediately activated.
Instantly, torrents of time energy burst from the warship’s hull, clashing with the blood energy of the Domain of the Gods. In a flash, a time domain quickly began to form.
As the Samsara Time Domain solidified, the skies above the Fifth Black Serpent Royal City became a battlefield of two rival energies.
Each domain seized part of the sky, cloaking everything beneath their influence.
Roughly forty percent belonged to the Domain of the Gods, while the Samsara Time Domain covered the other sixty.
The Domain of the Gods was ultimately just a secret art—triggered here by a sixth-tier Dreadnought Captain—while the Samsara Time Domain relied on a strengthened, eighth-tier gold component. The outcome wasn’t surprising.
Yet the mech giant below quickly launched a new counterattack.
This time, instead of blood-red power, waves upon waves of spatial energy flooded from the mech’s core.
Within that mighty surge of space power, wisps of intricate, mysterious runes flashed by from time to time.
“Law of Space!”
As a master of the Law of Space himself, Song Chi recognized those ancient runes straight away.
That realization sent a subtle shiver through him.
Earlier, the Domain of the Gods had been saturated with potent Law of Blood. Now, Law of Space had appeared. The answer was clear.
This Dreadnought captain from the Divine Federation wasn’t just a royal heir—he was a prodigy who’d mastered both blood and space laws together.
With more and more spatial energy and law pouring in and weaving together, the Domain of the Gods’ power skyrocketed and soon the Samsara Time Domain was suppressed.
Seizing the opening, the mech’s left mechanical arm swung upward, pointing straight at the Mirror Warship above. Segmented alloy plates shrank rapidly, forming a pitch-black cannon muzzle in the palm.
Song Chi had no idea what ability his foe had triggered, but the moment that cannon appeared for a second shot, a white-hot beam split out with no need for any visible charge-up.
That palm cannon definitely had to be one of the two supercannons—the strength behind it was terrifying.
But Song Chi responded instantly. Under Zen Seal · Internal · Time Acceleration, the Mirror Warship’s bow immediately fired its own main cannon.
But instead of unleashing the Blood Judgment from the Blood Spear, he used the Life-bane Arrow from the Myriad-Spirit Annihilation Bow.
Blood Judgment was way too recognizable—using it here would only make him easy to track.
The Myriad-Spirit Annihilation Bow was far more subtle.
Swoosh!
Both beams shot out nearly at once, clashing mid-flight.
An energy storm erupted, but it didn’t last long. The arrow lasted only two seconds before the piercing beam shattered it.
What little energy remained from the enemy’s blast slammed into the Mirror Warship’s energy shield, sending shockwaves through the barrier.
Right then, the Taiyi Quantum Swordlight Battery, which had been idle until now, fired a streak of quantum swordlight.
The True Immortal Quantum Blade struck directly onto the mech giant’s energy shield below—unimpeded.
A standard silver main cannon couldn’t do serious damage, but it did dim the mech’s energy shield quite a bit.
That was exactly what Song Chi wanted.
Using the properties of the Taiyi Quantum Swordlight Battery and calculations from the Sky-Domain AI, he could roughly estimate the opponent’s energy shield tier and quality.
It was the same deal when the enemy fired earlier. As their clash dragged on, Song Chi took advantage of the Samsara Time Domain to keep exchanging shots.
With the same method, he figured out the quality and enhancement tier of both supercannons, all four main cannons, plus the energy shield. He now had a solid grasp of his opponent’s loadout.
Boom!
They traded main cannon shots yet again, both energy shields darkening further.
As the mech giant raised its arm for another attack, Song Chi’s lips curled up in a grin.
“War’s still raging, I don’t have time to keep playing with you…”
With that thought, he suddenly turned his gaze to the side.
Starlight Flash Spirit Stone Talisman—activating Starlight Flash Spirit Shift.
Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!
Activated, the entire Mirror Warship shimmered with faint spatial ripples—barely noticeable, but vastly broader in range than before.
Even the subtleness of the effect didn’t escape the sharp eyes of the Akleimon royal prodigy below.
“Trying to run? Hand over what you took! If you don’t, you’re not leaving!”
His furious roar burst out as the mech giant shined with brilliant light.
Inside the mech, the man grit his teeth then shouted:
“Divine Bone Whip—activate Divine Shackling!”
With that yell, a bone whip made entirely from golden divine bones materialized out of nowhere and wrapped around the Mirror Warship above. Power radiated off the whip, swirling with unimaginable force. Song Chi felt his heart jolt—Starlight Flash Spirit Shift, which could usually ignore things like space lockdowns and anti-magic fields, didn’t work at all.
The pale gold bone whip locked in place, pouring out ancient divine sigils from each bone, sealing the entire Mirror Warship exactly where it hovered above the Black Serpent Floating-land.
“Is that a black-grade component? Or rainbow?”
Song Chi’s breathing quickened. This new trump card from his opponent was far beyond the ordinary.
And that wasn’t all. The instant the pale gold bone whip held the ship, the mech giant unleashed another attack.
This time, it didn’t fire from either arm, but instead from a darkness ray blasted out of the energy core in the mech’s chest.
Song Chi had no clue which component triggered that black beam, but a primal fear crawled down his spine—every hair stood on end at the sense of extreme threat.
Neutron-Star Core Armor—activating Neutron-Star Fission!
Without thinking, he triggered the ship armor’s strongest defense.
In a fraction, the Mirror Warship transformed from a massive 160,000-meter battleship into a miniature neutron star. Instantly, the temperature around it shot past forty million degrees.
The moment the transformation finished, the terror gripping Song Chi’s heart plummeted, but he didn’t stay. With Neutron-Star Fission still running, he immediately used dark energy to link the Torch Ancestral Orifice’s Market Token.
Just as the black beam struck the neutron star, his body vanished from the Mirror Warship’s control room. What happened to the ship afterwards, he no longer cared.
Mirror Warship—mirror is in the name for a reason. He’d always planned for this scenario: if he couldn’t escape in time, he’d simply abandon the ship, wait for the Mirror Image Split cooldown, then fight another day.
This was precisely why he made a clean break—he hadn’t even let the Sky-Domain AI take over control before leaving for the Market. With a loadout like the Mirror Warship’s, he would never dare hand over the reins to an AI. Too risky.
What if the Sky-Domain AI got creative with Neutron-Star Core Armor’s High-Energy Particle Storm? Or the Black Hole Evolution Layer’s Black Hole Singular Burst? Or the Divine Thunder Cannon’s Ten-Thousand Sigil Violet Lightning Prison? Not to mention possibly going wild with God of the Hunt’s Weakpoint Mark and Blood Judgment. Giving the AI full reign—who knows what could happen?
Above the Free Stall Area of the Omniverse Market.
Arriving at the Market, Song Chi landed, eyes glittering as he murmured under his breath.
“I can basically confirm—the two supercannons and the energy shield are all gold-grade components. Two more golden main cannons among the four, plus that black longsword, the divine bone restraining component, and that final incredible strike… This guy really is a worthy royal prodigy of the Four Great Empires.”
Just as the thought crossed his mind, Song Chi was jolted out of his calculations.
A sudden pulse between his brows told him that the Mirror Warship outside had almost certainly lost mobility.
Turns out, rather than blow the ship up, they’d just battered it until over eighty percent of the structure was wrecked—completely disabling it.
Maybe they worried about damaging that black oddity, or maybe they just didn’t want to kill him outright in wartime. After all, no Dreadnought should fall to a teammate. But Song Chi wasn’t concerned—in a blink, he vanished back to the main Heavenly Ruin flagship.
First thing after returning, he deactivated the Mirror Image Split component.
Back on the Black Serpent Floating-land, in the Fifth Black Serpent Royal City.
Watching a Dreadnought that massive vanish into thin air, Montell Akleimon’s face darkened instantly.
“Impossible. The Divine Bone Chains are a mythic oddity—the manifestation of a family relic across star systems. Even a rainbow-grade Flash-displacement Component at the same tier shouldn’t break free so quietly. Could it be an even higher-grade rainbow displacement ability?”
……
Song Chi had no idea what happened afterward on the Black Serpent Floating-land. Right now, he was comparing the attributes of the Heavenly Ruin and that royal Dreadnought from the Divine Federation.
Overall, the Heavenly Ruin still held the advantage. It might be a little weaker in firepower, but the other side didn’t seem to have anything like the Angel King’s Authority Wings, which gave double-layered energy shields.
Plus, don’t forget—the Mirror Warship hadn’t been able to copy the rainbow-grade Timepiece Chessboard. All things considered, the Heavenly Ruin’s configuration and combat power were a cut above.
But that pale gold divine bone whip and the energy ray from the mech’s power core really caught Song Chi’s attention.
He had two theories about the divine bone whip. First thought: maybe it was just a ship control component—but honestly, that seemed unlikely.
Given the Starlight Flash Spirit Stone Talisman’s sheer ability, even a black-grade restraining component shouldn’t fully lock down the Heavenly Ruin or Mirror Warship. But this one did, suggesting it’s probably a rainbow oddity or component. Song Chi doubted the enemy kept something that powerful as just a regular onboard control unit.
Far more likely, it was like the Song Family’s Dragon Whale Hall—a high-tier oddity fused directly into the Akleimon family’s homeworld’s origin core.
As for the energy attack fired from the core, Song Chi suspected it was a unique component, similar to the Star Annihilator’s Wrath.
After all, the two supercannons were housed in the palms, and the four main cannons were split into two shoulder turrets each. That ruled out six possible weapons—plus, no Dreadnought could install a Star‑Annihilator Cannon, so chances are, it had to be that.
Of course, it could always be something else.
The Sea of Stars was unimaginably vast, full of all kinds of strange parts—just take the Antimatter Evolution Engine, with its weirdo secondary engine traits.
Song Chi shook his head, letting it go for now. In the end, if it came down to a death match between the true Heavenly Ruin and that rival’s ship, he was pretty confident he’d win.
For the moment, his focus was all on the black oddity he’d snatched from the enemy.
This oddity was anything but ordinary—its attributes were rare beyond measure. No wonder the opponent came all the way from a Divine Federation fleet just to chase it down on the Black Serpent Floating-land.
