Chapter 612: The Private Trading Gathering in the Serpent’s Fang Galaxy
by xennovelBack in the Serpent’s Fang Galaxy, Song Chi immediately summoned the Heavenly Ruin. His gaze quickly landed on a fleet just as large as the one from the Tianpan Galaxy.
He checked with the clan members beside him to learn where this unfamiliar fleet came from.
“So this is the joint fleet from the Linyue Galaxy, in the southern region of the Xian Qin Divine Dynasty…”
Muttering under his breath, Song Chi didn’t waste any time and piloted his warship quickly toward the nearby Calm-Sea Dragon-Xiang.

Song Xingru: “So these people will be acting with us from now on?”
Song Shiyuan: “That’s what it looks like. Still, it’s not a bad thing. At the very least, there’ll be more people to share the risk with us on our next push.”
Song Xingru: “I don’t really see that as a benefit. Lower risks mean smaller gains, and that will almost certainly hurt our plan to take over the whole Chipan Galaxy.”
No sooner had Song Chi connected to the group chat than he saw the Prime Ancestor and Ru Zu deep in discussion.
Before he could say anything, Song Wujian spoke first:
“Alright, this was always within our expectations. Sure, it’s earlier than we thought, and it’ll impact our efforts in the Chipan Galaxy a bit, but it won’t be a huge problem. Worst case, we just pay Luo Clan a little more in the future.”
“I called you over to get acquainted. The Linyue Galaxy is one of the old guard in the Divine Dynasty and has been developing for over a hundred thousand years. Many of its Immortal Houses have legacies over a hundred thousand years long, a depth we just can’t match now. It’s no bad thing to build closer ties with them.”
Song Wujian paused here, but Song Shiyuan quickly added a piece of information.
“I just heard from the three Yaohan Families—they’ve decided to hold a private trading gathering with several of Linyue’s Immortal Houses. Their foundations are extraordinary. And over these last two hundred years, our families have each taken over two galaxies and gathered a lot of good stuff ourselves. It’s worth making some deals here.”
……
The Linyue Galaxy, located in the southern part of the Xian Qin Divine Dynasty, has been part of the dynasty’s territory for almost 150,000 years.
After that long, every resource and Floating-land within the galaxy has been developed to the utmost.
As a result, there are now eight Immortal Houses within the Linyue Galaxy, led by the Zhao Clan who were granted the title ‘Linyue King’ by the Divine Dynasty itself 120,000 years ago.
But that’s not even the most important part.
Twenty thousand years ago, the first Linyue King advanced to Star River-class Captain. From then on, the Zhao Clan royal house rose to become a true Immortal giant.
The original Linyue King may have long accepted the Divine Dynasty’s summons and isn’t in the fleet now, but just the name ‘Star River-class Captain’ gives the Zhao Clan clout over all the others.
And so, after a brief round of greetings, it was a Star-Annihilator-class Captain of the Zhao Clan who proactively suggested the trading event—as if they were the hosts, and the Tianpan Galaxy’s families, who’d been in the Serpent’s Fang Galaxy for over a century, were only guests.
Yet none of the Tianpan Galaxy’s Immortal House leaders objected. Their faces remained calm, betraying none of their thoughts.
Still, the younger Captains who came along with their own Star-Annihilator-class Captains knew exactly what was going on.
The reason they could remain so relaxed is that the territory division in the Serpent’s Fang Galaxy had already been decided. Unless real interests were at stake, no one would start a direct conflict over mere titles with such a major powerhouse.
When the joint communication group finally quieted down, the private trading event officially began.
The first to speak wasn’t the Zhao Clan, but their relatives by marriage—the Ruan Clan, also one of Linyue’s eight Immortal Houses.
“The Ruan Clan is putting up ten items for trade. If you see something you want, just bid in the group. We’ll pick the one who offers the best deal.”
The voice belonged to a Ruan Clan Dreadnought Captain, an old man with cloudy eyes. Judging by his ship’s massive size, he was clearly at the pinnacle of his rank.
Song Chi didn’t care for preliminaries; his attention was already flicking over the ten items up for grabs.
A ten-thousand-year Deepwater Pearl.
A portion of Silver Upgraded Fire Source.
A Fire Sacred Beast Spirit Fruit.
Ten thousand units of Eternal Stone Brick.
……
He scanned the offerings—most weren’t even worth a second glance. But when his eyes landed on the Fire Sacred Beast Spirit Fruit, Song Chi’s gaze instantly brightened.
This Fire Sacred Beast Spirit Fruit wasn’t a product of star plants, but a top-tier spirit fruit from a primeval secret realm, and supposedly only one ripens every several hundred thousand years.
Its main use isn’t for Torch Captains, but for high-grade fire-type lifeforms in the Sea of Stars—specifically, sixth-tier ones, letting them breakthrough more reliably to the seventh tier.
And right now, the Heavenly Ruin had just such a fire-type lifeform aboard—the Flamewrath Giant.
After serving loyally as an enslaved creature for so long, Song Chi had grown rather attached to the Flamewrath Giant. More than once, it had risked itself to save the Heavenly Ruin from peril.
By now, it was already at the peak of the sixth tier. If it could keep settling its foundation and have this spirit fruit as a catalyst, its chances of reaching the seventh tier would be decent.
Song Chi didn’t rush to place a bid. He watched the chat for other offers, and before long, spotted something peculiar.
“No one’s bidding with seventh- or eighth-tier Floating-land Origin?”
Noting the Ruan Clan captain completely ignoring those bidding with Floating-land Origin, Song Chi gave it a try by offering two tier-six Silver Apples.
Sure enough, his message got a reaction—a flash in the old captain’s eyes—but still, he said nothing.
Sensing an opportunity, Song Chi quickly raised his bid.
“Three tier-six Silver Apples!”
Over the last few centuries, he’d gathered quite a store of these Silver Apples, and risking three at once wasn’t a problem.
In the end, Song Chi successfully secured the Fire Sacred Beast Spirit Fruit.
As for the other nine items, they were quickly claimed by other captains.
Next, other Immortal Houses from Linyue Galaxy each brought out their treasures. During this trading spree, the Yaohan Kingdom, Morningstar Kingdom, and the Chigu Luo Clan all made deals too.
Most members of the Song Family picked up something useful, but after winning the spirit fruit, Song Chi held back—there simply wasn’t anything else tempting enough.
Finally, a Zhao Clan Dreadnought Captain took the stage for the grand finale—and in an instant, every other captain learned what true depth meant: the Zhao Clan brought out fifty items at once.
Not a single one was a duplicate or a filler. Every item was top-tier.
Among those fifty, the Song Family even spotted Primal Chaos Qi, a strategic resource of the highest grade. It was only three wisps, but still enough to showcase the Zhao Clan’s wealth.
Usually, even Immortal Houses never have enough of this Primal Chaos Qi to go around, let alone part with any in a trade.
In the end, all three wisps of Primal Chaos Qi went to the Song Family.
Even they were surprised, since plenty of other captains wanted the Primal Chaos Qi and their offer wasn’t the highest.
It wasn’t until Song Wujian explained on the way out that they finally understood.
Turns out, two of the Zhao Clan’s Star-Annihilator-class Captains had already made a secret deal with the Old Ancestor—they’d somehow learned the Song Family possessed a tier-six Timeworld Fruit and wanted to buy one.
In the end, the Old Ancestor agreed to let them have priority for one in the future, which clinched the Primal Chaos Qi for them.
Of course, before that, they still had to supply the three Yaohan Families first.
It had been more than a hundred years, and the Timeworld Tree Sanctuary had already produced a tier-six Timeworld Fruit—this one had been traded to the Liu Family twenty years ago. Next up, both the Shen and Xiao families still needed one each before the Zhao Clan’s turn.
So the arrival of the Linyue joint fleet was just a sizable blip—the fleet’s progress wouldn’t be delayed.
Time slipped by, and three months later, the fleet set out from the northern reaches of the Serpent’s Fang Galaxy, heading even farther north to a new galaxy.
Along the way, they encountered another ambush from the Eight-Armed Serpent Demon Army. Luckily, with their numbers so greatly increased, they fought off the attackers with minor losses.
Two years on the march, the Tianpan and Linyue joint fleet finally broke into a brand-new galaxy deep in the Eight-Armed Serpent Demons’ galaxy cluster.
……
Calm-Sea Dragon-Xiang encrypted magwave group chat.
“Song Yan: Something feels really off about this Fire Serpent Galaxy. Even with our much bigger fleet, the Eight-Armed Serpent Demons’ resistance shouldn’t be this weak!”
“Song Shiyuan: I get the same feeling. With the methods of the Serpent Demon civilization, there’s no way the Linyue joint fleet went unnoticed. But if they did notice, why hasn’t the resistance been fiercer?”
“Song Chi: Over the past two years, the Serpent Demons have tried several ambushes, but none were large-scale. Something’s definitely strange!”
As he listened to the Song Family’s core members exchanging doubts in the chat, Song Wujian finally spoke up:
“Can’t be helped the Linyue side won’t heed our warnings. We just need to be cautious ourselves. Pass the word down—everyone stays at Level 2 alert. No one’s allowed to relax their guard…”
His warning was cut short as a vast wave of energy suddenly swept in from afar.
Song Wujian, the quickest to react, instantly turned grim.
“That’s an eighth-tier assault! Everyone, watch out!”
As he shouted, he activated the Darkstar Mystic Turtle Armor and linked Calm-Sea Dragon-Xiang with the family’s fifty thousand strongest Torch Battleships.
Sensing trouble in advance, the silver strategic component had already been moved to the Calm-Sea Dragon-Xiang—the other dreadnoughts simply couldn’t bring out its full effect.
Then Song Wujian called out twice more.
“Xiaochi, Xiao Yan…”
The summons were brief but Song Chi and Song Yan instantly understood. They didn’t hesitate.
Angel King’s Authority Wings: True Spirit Guard activated!
Flame God’s Dominion Skull: Flame God’s Dominion Soul Guard activated!
With the dual golden components’ group shield abilities triggered at once, two spectral guardian apparitions swept over hundreds of thousands of Song Family warships, even extending protection to allied Luo Clan, Philip Family, and Bai Family Torch Battleships.
Barely had the guardian spirits solidified when a horrendous streak of black blade-light swept across space.
This streak was unbelievably fast—thankfully, the Song Family’s core members had never let down their guard, so they managed immediate, if basic, defenses. Besides them, only the Liu Family and two Immortal Houses of the Linyue fleet reacted fast enough.
Zzz zzz zzz!
Between guardian spirits of light and flame, and the extra energy shield from the Darkstar Mystic Turtle Armor, the Song Family warded off more than ninety percent of the devastating blade slash. Nearly every ship protected within was left barely scratched.
But the price: those two golden eighth-tier guardian spirits, freshly summoned, were completely erased.
Countless mid- and low-tier ships had their energy shields overloaded, and their hull armor took noticeable damage.
Even that little was enough to show just how terrifying that blade was.
After all, both angelic and flame dominion guardian spirits drew on fully powered eighth-tier golden components—each should be able to block a seventh-tier dominator in open combat for a fair stretch.
But this wasn’t even the worst of it. After dissolving both guardian apparitions and sinking nearly ten million ships, the black blade-light still packed a punch, soaring toward a nearby fourth-tier resource Floating-land.
Here’s how wild it got: with just a fraction of its power left, that blade split the entire Floating-land open, exposing its very core.
The core, only fourth-tier, crumbled instantly under this eighth-tier assault—collapsing before the eyes of all the gathered Captains.
Breaking a star in one blow—no exaggeration.
In that moment, everyone came to truly grasp the might of an eighth-tier lifeform.
“Outrageous!”
A voice roared in fury across the starry sky—at last, the Blood Sui Yang Clan’s Star River-class ship made its move.
The surprise attack by an eighth-tier Eight-Armed Serpent Demon had caught everyone off guard; the Star River Captain hadn’t reacted in time, and that lapse sent him into a rage.
Millions of warships were lost. By any measure, he’d failed in his duty.
The blue-brown Star River ship transformed its prow into a blinding golden ramming point. In a flash, the mighty vessel surged forward, crashing straight toward the eight-armed serpent demon, who wielded a massive black saber.
