Chapter Index

    Compared to the four Star-Annihilator-class Captains of the Zhao Clan, Ruan Clan and others fuming in frustration, the Song Family couldn’t have been happier about how things played out.

    Sneaking away right under the noses of four Star-Annihilator-class Ships without anyone noticing—that was already impressive. But snagging a real prize from King Guangnan with nothing but a cooldown on some components for the next twenty years? That was downright satisfying.

    “Hey, Xiaochi, quick—check the properties on the Four Symbols Rotating Sigil and that black Supreme Component!”

    In the encrypted chat of the Calm-Sea Dragon-Xiang, the eldest brother Song Yan chimed in, a note of curiosity in his voice.

    He wasn’t the only one. Everyone in the group chat—the core family members—all perked up at the mention of those two sensitive terms: Four Symbols Rotating Sigil and the black Supreme Component.

    After working alongside the Joint Fleet of the Linyue Galaxy for this long, everyone in the Song Family had gotten a pretty good read on the major powers, especially the Ruan Clan from Guangnan and their signature module: the Four Symbols Rotating Sigil.

    Song Shiyuan said, “Clan Elder, did you actually get your hands on a Four Symbols Rotating Sigil this time? Don’t tell me you ran into someone from the Ruan Clan?”

    Song Yan wasted no time and quickly filled the chat in on what went down. Then everyone’s confusion finally cleared.

    Watching their three family heads recount such an exciting adventure, Song Shiyuan, Song Xingru, Song Tianhao, Song Tianshu, Song Xuancang and the others all lit up with excitement. Obviously, they were seriously tempted.

    And who wouldn’t be? A component that lets battleship clones roam off safely without any risk—priceless doesn’t even begin to cover it.

    Especially with Song Chi’s Market-Walking Token, those clones could gather loot wherever they went and send it home instantly. Talk about the perfect combo.

    Song Chi completely understood the heated glances from the rest of the clan. Still, his eyes flickered, clearly calculating something, enough that grabbing the rest of those spoils from the Market momentarily slipped his mind.

    He mused silently for about ten seconds before making up his mind.

    Then, out of nowhere, he piped up in the group chat:

    “Clan Elder, go ahead and uninstall that Twin Separation module.”

    At the same time, he glanced over at Song Yan.

    “Big Brother!”

    He didn’t need to explain further. Song Yan got the hint right away and, wasting no time, activated the high-tier lossless uninstall module on the Scorching Sea Blazer.

    The very next moment, a beam of golden light shot from the Scorching Sea Blazer straight toward the Calm-Sea Dragon-Xiang.

    Song Wujian was a little puzzled. Uninstalling a component like this wouldn’t reset its cooldown after reinstallation—Song Chi had to know that. So why the sudden switch?

    Though he didn’t fully understand, Song Wujian trusted Song Chi. He let the golden light land. Soon, the Twin Separation module was safely removed.

    As the module was drawn into the Heavenly Ruin, everyone fell silent, waiting patiently.

    They all knew Song Chi wouldn’t act for no reason—there had to be a plan.

    Inside the Heavenly Ruin, Song Chi took the Twin Separation module and walked straight to the Miracle Clone Pod.

    He planned to clone the Twin Separation module. That way, he’d have two. Then, using their special twin separation property, there’d be four total—enough for four warships to carry, making four battleship clones. Add in the mirror warship of the Heavenly Ruin, and that made five.

    If nothing else, the Prime Ancestor and Ru Zu could temporarily equip these twin modules themselves and send clones out for their own explorations too.

    As for why he chose this path?

    It boiled down to two simple reasons.

    First: Even after slaying that multi-headed tier-seven Nightmare Soul Body, the Soul-Devourer Sacrificial Altar still hadn’t pushed past the early part of the fourth stage. It’d be a while before it maxed out. Until then, the Miracle Clone Pod would just sit idle anyway.

    Second: The civilization war had only just begun, and every Star Domain was caught in major conflicts. This was the perfect time to scoop up loot and resources. If the Prime Ancestor, Ru Zu and Xingzu didn’t grab all the resources they could now, they might not get another shot.

    “Xiaochi, wait—does this mean…”

    As two identical Twin Separation modules rolled out from the Heavenly Ruin, everyone in the chat froze for a second.

    But when Song Chi nodded to confirm, they finally accepted that there really were two actual, complete twin modules—not just splits from the module’s own function.

    After inspecting the detailed attributes for themselves, Song Xingru was the first to break the silence.

    “Chi, you genius! How’d you pull that off?”

    No doubt she was the most excited. Back when she’d first seen the twin module, she’d wanted to try it out straight away. But her ship just wasn’t strong enough, so she’d given up her chance.

    Now, with two extra slots, she could barely contain her excitement.

    Back in the Heavenly Ruin, Song Chi replied calmly:

    “Just a special effect from one of the modules.”

    Then Song Wujian spoke up in the chat.

    “Alright, Miss Ru, this component’s clearly vital for Xiaochi and is pretty special in itself. So if it’s not your business, don’t press further.”

    “And you’d better watch that impulsive nature of yours. Even if a ship clone keeps you safe, everything you do can impact the entire family. If you slip up and expose your true identity, you could put us all in a dangerous spotlight!”

    Song Wujian’s words were as stern as could be, sending a wave of solemnity through the chat.

    But with Song Xingru’s energetic personality, everyone understood the warning. Left unchecked, she might give away her identity without thinking.

    Thankfully, his words hit home. Song Xingru sobered up on the spot, a serious look on her face.

    “Don’t worry, Clan Elder. I’ll keep it in mind!”

    The second Twin Separation module was quickly handed out. The Unmoving Vajra and Violet Moon Longsong got the upgrades, and Song Shixing would rotate usage with Song Shiyuan and Song Xingru.

    With that settled, Song Chi finally retrieved the loot from the Market.

    Two Seventh-Tier Gray Crystals.

    One red Four Symbols Rotating Sigil.

    One black Extreme Frost Moon Cannon.

    Eighteen wisps of Primal Chaos Qi.

    After a quick discussion, the two Seventh-Tier Gray Crystals went to Song Shiyuan and Song Xingru. Song Shixing received one directly from Song Chi.

    As compensation, all the remaining Primal Chaos Qi from repairing the Dragon Whale Hall would go to him.

    Everyone examined the two rare modules carefully.

    Four Symbols Rotating Sigil Lv0

    Quality: Red

    Trait: Four Symbols – Azure Dragon Mark

    Trait 2: Four Symbols – White Tiger Mark

    Trait 3: Four Symbols – Vermilion Bird Mark

    Cost: 30 per second (Eon Energy Points)

    No need for charging or buffering

    Effect: Grants the ship Four Symbols Guardianship. Can bind with designated ships in a Four Symbols link. When activating this module, all bound ships receive the same effects. Due to module grade and incomplete symbols, only two additional ships can be bound at current level.

    Note: Requires 3 Efficiency slot spaces.

    {Four Symbols – Azure Dragon Mark: Costs 20,000 Eon Energy Points. Summons the divine Azure Dragon spirit projection, boosting ship speed, firepower and defenses. Instantly repairs 20% of hull, armor and shields. Lasts 30 minutes, 24-hour cooldown.}

    {Four Symbols – White Tiger Mark: Costs 20,000 Eon Energy Points. Summons the divine White Tiger spirit projection, boosting speed, defense and regeneration. Temporarily increases firepower by 40%. Lasts 30 minutes, 24-hour cooldown.}

    {Four Symbols – Vermilion Bird Mark: Costs 20,000 Eon Energy Points. Summons the divine Vermilion Bird spirit projection, boosting firepower, defense and regeneration. Temporarily raises ship speed by 40%. Lasts 30 minutes, 24-hour cooldown.}

    After reading through the Four Symbols Rotating Sigil’s effects, everyone in the Song Family raised an eyebrow.

    It didn’t quite match up to the legends.

    No matter how you looked at it, this module wasn’t the mythic treasure people hyped it up to be. Not only were the ship links limited, but the attribute boosts weren’t anything crazy. At best, it was just a high-end module.

    Not useless, but underwhelming. Its main use was binding ships, and the stat bonuses were only decent—far from game-changing.

    To Song Chi and the others, the disappointment was especially clear.

    Compared to the amazing displays they’d seen from the four Star-Annihilator-class Ships run by the Lingyue Zhao Clan and Ruan Clan, this module’s description just felt underwhelming—almost like two different modules altogether.

    From what they’d seen, when those four ships combined under those golden beams, the bonuses they received were no mere double digits.

    That was real, multiplicative power—boosting speed, firepower, defense—raising them high enough to go toe-to-toe with even Tier Eight lifeforms.

    “Are these stat boosts really correct?”

    “Wasn’t the Four Symbols Rotating Sigil from the Guangnan Ruan Clan supposed to be a top-tier module? This doesn’t look all that impressive!”

    “I heard people call it the ‘Transcending Wheel’. They say with this equipped, a ship can punch way above its tier. Is the magic supposed to just come from these modest stat boosts?”

    Song Wujian weighed in with his own guess.

    “Maybe the problem is that the symbols are incomplete?”

    Song Yan had a different perspective.

    “The Ruan Clan’s ship uses a golden Four Symbols Rotating Sigil—maybe the fifth trait changes everything.”

    Everyone traded glances, then finally turned to Song Chi.

    It was probably because they knew Song Chi had reliable access to Tier-Seven Silver Apples that Song Wujian had agreed to let him have the red Four Symbols Rotating Sigil in the first place.

    Song Chi nodded slightly. “We’ll have to wait a few more months. The next batch of Tier-Seven Silver Apples isn’t ripe yet.”

    It had been over a century since the last harvest. The new Silver Apples in the Cultivation Sanctuary were just about ready, and Song Chi figured that once this wave of accelerated sanctuary growth finished, the apples would be ripe.

    With that, everyone’s attention shifted to the black component.

    The Moon Wheel Frostshadow Cannon wasn’t a main cannon, nor some supercannon or Star-Annihilator cannon—it was just a secondary gun.

    Not that anyone was shocked. King Guangnan, threatened and extorted by the Song Family, was never going to hand over a rare main module; secondary cannons were always the safest bet.

    Moon Wheel Frostshadow Cannon Lv0

    Quality: Black

    Trait: Power Amplified by 170%

    Trait 2: True Armor-Piercing

    Trait 3: Triple Frost Moon

    Trait 4: Each shot adds extra freezing damage

    Trait 5: Every hit has a 3% chance to inflict Frost Capture, freezing the target for 1–3 seconds

    Trait 6: Ten-Thousand Moon Blades

    Cost: 80 per shot (Eon Energy Points)

    Attack: 1045

    Charging: 10s; Buffering: 20s

    Upgrade Requirements: 100 wisps of Floating-land Origin (zero tier), 10,000 Eon Energy Points, 10kg Ice Crystal Ore

    {True Armor-Piercing: Each Frost Moon shot ignores standard armor, scales, shields and hull defenses, and slightly bypasses even True Defense and True Shield properties.}

    {Triple Frost Moon: Each shot releases three Frost Moon blades.}

    {Ten-Thousand Moon Blades: Spend 200,000 Eon Energy Points to unleash a massive barrage in a target area.}

    After reading the properties, Song Chi’s eyes sparkled. The Heavenly Ruin still had two empty twin secondary turrets, and the quality and effects of this cannon were just perfect for it.

    Secondary cannons might be weaker, but that wasn’t what caught Song Chi’s eye.

    He was after the fifth trait: every shot had a chance to freeze enemy units. Even though the odds started at just three percent, a few upgrades in and that could hit at least twenty percent.

    Combined with the Sixth-Tier Dreadnought’s thousands-fold secondary turret module, that meant 10,000 Frostshadow Cannons could fire at once. Each volley delivered 30,000 Frost Moon blades, locking down a battlefield in a heartbeat.

    And if he activated Ten-Thousand Moon Blades, the results would be even scarier.

    Song Wujian must have seen the hunger in Song Chi’s eyes, because he quickly said:

    “That secondary cannon goes to Xiaochi. Anyone object?”

    No one disagreed. Song Chi’s contributions to the clan spoke for themselves. Honestly, it was the least they could do—he’d even donated that rare black module to the clan not long ago.

    Chapter Summary

    Song Chi orchestrates the cloning of the Twin Separation module, allowing multiple Song Family ships to deploy battle clones and seize adventure opportunities across the galaxy. The family evaluates loot, including the Four Symbols Rotating Sigil and Moon Wheel Frostshadow Cannon. Though the sigil’s effects don’t match its legend, the cannon’s freezing ability impresses. Song Xingru’s enthusiasm is tempered by Song Wujian’s stern warnings about secrecy. Resources, modules and rare items are distributed among the clan, all aiming to boost their strength during the interstellar wars.
