Xu Shaochen didn’t inform the women at home about his return, so no one came to pick him up.
He arranged for Yuxiu to stay at the hotel and report to the office on Monday before heading home.
Ye Ling was the secretary, Yuxiu the assistant, purely “work-related” relationships, so Xu Shaochen didn’t take them home.
Upon returning home, he saw Du Ruyan lying on the sofa playing games.
She didn’t look up at the sound of footsteps, thinking it was someone else at home.

Du Ruyan shrieked hysterically, anxious that none of the bodyguards heard her cries.

“Nothing’s left. We’ve been eating out, cooking is too troublesome.”
Du Ruyan informed him.
Someone suggested hiring a maid, but it was rejected. None liked a stranger living with them.
“I’ll go buy groceries, toss your car keys to me.”
Xu Shaochen said to Du Ruyan.
“Here.”
Du Ruyan tossed her car keys at him.
She drove a white Porsche, playfully adding eyelashes to the headlights, making it very feminine.
Xu Shaochen, a tall man, drew much attention driving it around.
He drove to the nearest market, attracting attention.
“See that? The car looks like a woman’s, so he’s probably a kept man.”
“Yeah, these days being good-looking sure pays.”
Seeing Xu Shaochen step out of the Porsche, some young men felt envious.
Working construction felt tougher than ever as they wished for a rich woman to see through their stubbornness.
