Chapter Index

When the neighbors were bewildered by Liu Ruxu and Liu Ruxue’s identity.

Xu Shaochen and his group had already reached Liu Ruxu’s home.

“Does someone live in this house?”

Standing at the door Xu Shaochen said noting that long-term traces indicated someone lived there.

Liu Ruxu sneered “It’s definitely my third uncle’s family. He even took the house when dividing my dad’s compensation.”

If the house wasn’t taken Liu Ruxu and Liu Ruxue wouldn’t have stayed in Yunquan County and met Auntie Wang.

Her third uncle got the most compensation and occupied their house reasoning he had to raise the sisters.

But every day they had to work and weren’t allowed to study often getting scolded for minor issues.

    “Then why go in?”

    Xu Shaochen frowned and asked.

“When we left Xiaoxue and I sneaked out without our parent’s belongings they left.”

Liu Ruxu explained they hadn’t returned since they secretly ran away.

Her third uncle probably didn’t bother searching happy to have two less burdens.

    “Stay outside.”

Xu Shaochen had Long Yi and the others stay outside before pushing open the door with Liu Ruxu and Liu Ruxue.

Inside the courtyard a middle-aged woman in a floral shirt was doing laundry.

Hearing footsteps she instinctively looked up seeing them.

    “Who are you?”

The middle-aged woman frowned finding them vaguely familiar.

“Aunt how quickly you’ve forgotten us while living in our house.”

Liu Ruxu spoke with a mock smile tone laced with irony.

    “It’s you two wild girls!”

The middle-aged woman’s face changed instantly watching them warily “Why are you back? Pregnant and want the house back? Dream on!”

She shouted inside “Liu Cheng! Hurry out someone wants to take our house!”

“Who dares? Who has the nerve to take my house!”

A middle-aged man in a vest rushed out with a broom eyeing the sisters uncertainly “Xiao Xu Xiaoxue?”

Being their third uncle he knew the sisters well.

“Third uncle should I be glad you remember me?”

Liu Ruxu said calmly her demeanor more assertive than the quiet Liu Ruxue.

Having lost parents young she had to protect the innocent Liu Ruxue.

“Rude! Is this how you speak to elders?”

Liu Cheng shouted “You wild girls ran off thinking you can return for the house? Dream on!”

Their first thought was the sisters wanted the house.

Why else would they return with big bellies?

Lacking parents’ guidance they must have been deceived returning in shame being pregnant.

“Exactly we didn’t stop raising you. You ran off black-hearted wolves. As agreed this house is ours no one will take it.”

The middle-aged woman stood hands on hips glaring like an angry tigress.

“I’m not here for the house just my parents’ things.”

Liu Ruxu said too bored to argue with the narrow-minded couple.

“Your parents’ stuff? Everything here is ours. Don’t expect to take a step inside!”

    The middle-aged woman spoke stubbornly.

“Where’s the box under my bed?”

    Liu Ruxu frowned asking.

“Oh that pile of trash?” sneered the woman “Thrown out years ago probably rotten now.”

    “You… ”

Liu Ruxu and Liu Ruxue turned pale with anger.

Never thought their parent’s last belongings were trashed.

“Don’t be angry you’ve got babies not worth getting upset over such garbage.”

Xu Shaochen soothed them worried about harm.

“Boy who are you calling trash? This is family business butt out!”

Liu Cheng yelled angrily hearing himself called trash.

Xu Shaochen smiled “I’m not a stranger I’m Xiaoxue and Liu Ruxu’s husband should call you uncle but it’s hard.”

Liu Cheng and his wife were stunned.

“You girls dare return after getting pregnant by the same man disgrace to our Liu family!”

Accusation filled his words as he spat.

“Get out I knew you’d amount to nothing.”

    The woman ordered contempt visible.

Amused inside they thought demanding the house.

“I’ll spread your disgrace then we’ll see.”

“Liu Cheng your family got rich!”

“Liu Cheng don’t forget us now you’re wealthy.”

“You two can enjoy a good life now…”

A noisy group burst in the courtyard.

Seeing Xu Shaochen and the sisters they fell quiet.

“What rich? What don’t I understand?”

Liu Cheng and his wife were dumbfounded.

Aunt Li glanced at Xu Shaochen before saying “Didn’t you know? Xiaoxue returned with a Benz and bodyguards looks like your family is rich.”

Boom! Hearing this they were stunned their minds blank.
