Chapter Index

“What… What did you say? Those two shameless girls got rich?!”

Liu Ruxu’s third aunt was in disbelief, absolutely unwilling to believe it.

Everyone else in the courtyard exchanged strange glances upon hearing this.

The sisters have become successful, but instead of ingratiating themselves, they insult them.

Who insults someone by calling them shameless just after they succeed? What ridiculous logic!

Liu Cheng reacted first, pulling his wife aside. “Watch your words!”

After the initial shock, he believed Li Auntie and others.

With so many confidently speaking, it couldn’t be baseless.

Looking at Liu Ruxu and Liu Ruxue, even in maternity clothes they were radiant.

With that in mind, Liu Cheng forced a smile. “Xuxu, Xiaoxue, I had some wine earlier, my mind’s fuzzy. Don’t mind my drunken talk.”

“Right, Xiaoxue, Xuxu, just a misunderstanding. You wouldn’t hold it against your aunt, right? Come inside for some tea.”

The aunt quickly changed her tune, her fawning grin made people nauseous.

“No need for tea. Since you treated my parents’ things as trash, there’s no need for me to stay.”

Liu Ruxu chuckled. “Since my sister and I are shameless girls, going inside would dirty your threshold.”

Everyone exchanged glances, seeing some sense in her words, feeling schadenfreude.

They thought Liu Cheng’s family would enjoy a good life. Now, it seems they’ll remain struggling farmers like the rest.

“No, Xuxu, that’s not what I meant!”

Liu Cheng shook his head vigorously, panicking as the sisters prepared to leave. “You don’t need to explain further.”

Liu Ruxu had no patience to argue, disgusted by his petty face, holding Xu Shaochen’s arm. “Let’s go, hubby. Let’s visit Dad’s grave and return early.”

    “Okay.”

Xu Shaochen nodded, preparing to leave with the sisters.

“No, Xuxu, don’t go! You just got here, stay a few days.”

Liu Cheng’s couple quickly blocked their way.

    “Move!”

    Xu Shaochen coldly uttered.

Liu Cheng was startled but stubbornly refused to budge. “Xuxu, you don’t need money now. Your cousin’s getting married, maybe you could lend us some.”

    ‘Lend’ actually meant ‘give’.

Liu Ruxu was amused by his shamelessness. “I’d rather spend on dog food than give you a penny. Forget about it.”

“Liu Ruxu, how dare you speak like that! He’s your third uncle, I’m your third aunt! Are you ignoring poor relatives now?”

“Even if we’re not borrowing, successful young ones should support the elders!”

The aunt declared confidently, appealing to the onlookers. “What kind of junior does this?”

Others looked on indifferently, ignoring the plea, unwilling to offend Liu Ruxu and Liu Ruxue now.

    “Long Yi!”

    Xu Shaochen shouted.

    “Boss.”

Long Yi and the bodyguards rushed in.

    “Move them aside.”

    Xu Shaochen coldly instructed.

Hearing this, the bodyguards began dragging the Li Cheng couple aside.

Xu Shaochen led Liu Ruxu and Liu Ruxue out, expressionless.

“Let me go! Liu Ruxu, you ungrateful girl! I am your aunt, everyone look at this ungrateful girl!”

“Heavens, strike this unfilial daughter down with lightning…”

The couple struggled as they were dragged, crying and lamenting the sisters’ ingratitude.

“This house belonged to my wife. You have three days to move out. I’ll check back then, don’t blame me for being harsh.”

“I have a hundred ways to deal with you.”

Xu Shaochen stopped, glaring at the couple.

At his words, they stopped their curses and cries.

“No, Xuxu, Uncle was wrong. Please forgive us.”

“Xiaoxue, Aunt knows you’re kind. We won’t ask for money, just let us keep the house.”

They pleaded and apologized as the three walked away.

But the three never looked back.

“You heard our boss, don’t make it hard for us.”

Long Yi sternly warned, revealing his handgun before leaving.

Seeing the gun, the couple froze with fear.

What kind of husband had Liu Ruxu and Liu Ruxue found?

“Oh, Old Liu, what have you done?”

“Exactly, who to blame for missing such a chance?”

Neighbors shook their heads, smiling with glee, leaving.

The couple sat on the ground, exhausted, wailing regretfully.

“Liu Cheng, it’s your fault. I married you to suffer. Now, not even a penny gained, and we’ve lost the house.”

His wife clawed at him, lamenting her years of sorrow.

Liu Cheng, holding back anger, pushed her. “Enough! I treated them like that because you nagged endlessly!”

“How dare you yell at me, Liu Cheng? I’m divorcing you!”

She, already a fierce woman, erupted instantly.

“You crazy woman! I’m done with you!”

Soon, the couple fought in the courtyard.
