Chapter 1121: Long Yi Discusses Business
by xennovelTang Jun didn’t know he had angered Li Daoyu.
Leisurely, he arrived at the predetermined meeting spot with Long Yi.
A teahouse.
Reaching the private room Long Yi mentioned, Tang Jun directly pushed open the door.
Inside the room was just Long Yi, quietly sipping hot tea.
“Mr. Long, isn’t it? Pleasure to meet you. I apologize, there was a bit of traffic, and you had to wait.”
Tang Jun entered briskly with a smile, warmly addressing Long Yi.
“President Tang, I won’t waste your precious time. Name your price for that land.”
Long Yi spoke in a formulaic tone, seemingly ignoring Tang Jun’s enthusiasm.
Tang Jun’s smile stiffened. Damn, what’s with these two today?
But that’s not the point. I don’t care if they’re strange, as long as there’s money involved.
“Mr. Long, someone offered me two million for my land. I said I’d think about it.”
Tang Jun lied smoothly without blinking.
Hearing this, Long Yi raised an eyebrow: “Are you trying to scam me?”
He wasn’t a fool; he obviously researched the land prices before coming.
Two million? Who the hell would offer two million for that piece of land?
“What do you mean, Mr. Long? Business is about mutual consent. If you find the price high, we can just be friends. Why say I’m scamming you?”
Tang Jun frowned as if unhappy with Long Yi’s words.
“I have no time for nonsense, one million.”
Long Yi stated a number.
“One million?!”
Tang Jun’s eyes widened. He didn’t expect this guy to be stingier than that Lin fellow.
“Yes, one million. Nod, take the money.”
Long Yi took out a bank card and tossed it onto the table.
His bottom line was one million, not a penny more.
“Impossible! Absolutely not. One million for that land is a joke!”
Tang Jun nearly lost it. Damn, these guys were each more stingy than the last.
“Clack!”
Long Yi pulled out a handgun and placed it on the table, saying expressionlessly: “Don’t be greedy; one million means you’ve profited.”
“Are you threatening me?” Tang Jun raised an eyebrow, but wasn’t particularly scared.
After all, in his younger days, he got big through bold moves. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have built such a large business.
It was just a gun, not enough to scare him speechless.
“You can think I’m threatening you.” Long Yi looked at him with a chuckle. “I’ll give you time to think it over. Don’t make me wait too long. I’m not very patient.”
And with that, Long Yi grabbed his gun and walked out of the private room.
He was just a bodyguard.
He never negotiated business.
So, he chose his own method.
“Bang!”
Hearing the private room door close.
Tang Jun’s face was as dark as a pot’s bottom, rage boiling inside.
“Crack!”
He smashed the teacup in his hand on the floor, the glass shattering instantly.
“Screw you! Trying to scare me? Do you think I was raised to be scared?!”
After cursing, he took out his phone to call his driver: “Bring the car to pick me up. Heading back to the city tonight.”
He wouldn’t waste time with these two groups and headed back to the city. As the seller with two competing buyers, he could afford to wait for the money to come to him.
…
“Boss, Tang Jun said he’s still considering it.”
Long Yi reported to Xu Shaochen.
(Tang Jun: What the hell, is that what I said?) “I see, go rest early.”
Xu Shaochen nodded. He set the price at one million. Considering Yunquan County’s land value and the actual value of that land, it wasn’t low.
Moreover, buying the land was to expand Lotus Primary School, supporting Yunquan County’s education.
If Tang Jun, a native of Yunquan County, was overly greedy, it would be unsightly.
“What about those strawberries in Liushu Township? What’s your plan? You better hurry, or they’ll all spoil soon.”
After Long Yi left, Liu Ruxu mentioned to Xu Shaochen, peeling an orange and feeding him a slice.
“Is such a small task even an issue for me?”
Xu Shaochen shrugged. Finding a buyer for those strawberries was too easy for him.
Once he shared the news, not only would fruit traders jump at it.
Even real estate or car salespeople would rush to buy those strawberries.
“Stop boasting and get things done.”
Liu Ruxu rolled her eyes.
Xu Shaochen smiled: “If I stop boasting, what else is there?”
“Get lost! You’re going to be a dad soon; act responsibly.”
Liu Ruxu blushed and playfully pinched his arm.
…
Ten at night.
Tang Jun returned to his home in Yunzhou City.
“Didn’t you say you were going to Yunquan County for business? Why are you back so soon?”
His wife asked curiously.
“Why are you concerned? Just manage the household well.”
Tang Jun replied impatiently. As a male chauvinist, he hated being questioned about work matters.
His wife pursed her lips and said nothing, handing Tang Jun his slippers.
“After sitting in the car all evening, I’m tired. I’ll rest first.”
Tang Jun said as he headed upstairs.
“Alright, I’ll put on a face mask first.”
His wife replied.
In the middle of the night, Tang Jun’s wife woke up drowsily to use the bathroom.
Reaching out to turn on the bedside lamp, she accidentally knocked something off, and a clatter followed.
“Why are you awake at this hour?”
Tang Jun was woken up.
“I don’t know. I didn’t place anything on the nightstand.”
Confused, his wife replied and switched on the light.
“Ah!”
Upon seeing what fell on the floor, her face turned pale, and she screamed.
“Why are you screaming at night?”
Tang Jun sat up annoyed. At middle age, a peaceful night was hard enough.
Especially since he hadn’t been woken up. It was incredibly frustrating.
“Tang Jun…look at the floor…”
His wife clutched his arm, trembling as she spoke hesitantly.
“What, a mouse?”
Tang Jun asked casually, moving to the bed’s edge to look. His expression instantly stiffened.
On the floor lay a pile of bullets, glowing faintly under the dim light.
