Chapter Index

    Headquarters of Penguin Game Company.

“Director Liao you came up with this idea initially now that things have ended up this way you must come up with a procedure to handle it!”

“Yes Director Liao what should we do now? You need to say something.”

“Director Liao you’ve really killed us this time…”

In Liao Zhou’s office a group of bosses surrounded him with anxious faces arguing nonstop.

Listening to this noise Liao Zhou felt extremely annoyed and said with a gloomy face “I’m not a deity how could I know he would cooperate with the higher-ups when everyone agreed to this proposal now that it failed I can’t be the one to bear all the responsibility.”

As he spoke his hands were pressed firmly on the table and if someone looked closely they’d notice his knuckles turning white due to the force.

These people were unwilling but was he not the same? After all he never imagined Xu Shaochen would reach a consensus with the higher-ups so quickly.

Originally he wanted to use public opinion to pressure Xu Shaochen but now he became the sneaky villain though he was actually one with ulterior motives.

“Director Liao your words aren’t right it was you who proposed these conditions.”

“Yes if not for your persuasion would we have agreed?”

Upon hearing Liao Zhou’s words their faces instantly changed since if Liao Zhou hadn’t proposed this idea how would they be in this situation? “Hehe you all aren’t children you are adults doesn’t everyone understand that adults must take responsibility for their actions? If you weren’t tempted then even my fancy words would be useless.”

Liao Zhou chuckled coldly. Expecting him to take all the blame alone was out of the question.

It’s either everyone works together or each takes care of their own troubles.

The reason he pulled this group in was to share the risk.

Expecting him to step up and take the blame for everyone was unrealistic.

“Director Liao you weren’t like this at the beginning now the issue arises and you turn your back on us!”

“That’s right Liao Zhou you’re being too arrogant!”

Liao Zhou’s attitude ignited everyone’s anger they wouldn’t have agreed if not for his confident assurances. “Instead of pointless arguing here with me why not go back and think about what to do please yourselves.”

Liao Zhou left these cold words then went behind his desk to sit down closing his eyes to feign sleep.

“Alright alright Liao Zhou you’re something else!”

Seeing this scene everyone was so angry they were seething but could do nothing else leaving with angry words.

In the end they only left some harsh words before leaving with their reluctance.

    “A bunch of useless people.”

After watching them leave Liao Zhou opened his eyes disdainfully uttering these words.

After cursing them his face turned uncertain again.

The appearance of virtual reality technology and the release of the game “Jianghu” has shaken the entire gaming industry too much.

If things go on like this his company will definitely go bankrupt.

    What should he do next?

As for Tianyu Game Company’s statement about pursuing accountability for slandering the organizer he didn’t take it seriously.

After all he had issued countless similar statements too how would they sue? Saying was easy but doing was as difficult as going to heaven.

    It’s just to intimidate people.

    …………

    On the other side.

After being driven out by Liao Zhou the dozen or so people didn’t disperse but instead gathered to discuss countermeasures.

Since their company’s scale wasn’t as large as Liao Zhou’s they could only band together for warmth as the weaker party.

“Damn that Liao is really a scumbag yesterday he made grand promises today he doesn’t admit a word.”

“Exactly I don’t believe if Xu Shaochen truly investigates responsibility he can escape.”

Hearing Liao Zhou’s name made everyone gnash their teeth together anyone insulting Liao Zhou was instantly a friend.

“Alas enough talking about this let’s discuss how to proceed next.”

“What’s next? What’s there to discuss? Just wait for doom.”

The atmosphere turned somber at these words.

“What should we do? What else can be done? Just wait for the end.”

A middle-aged man with a gold tooth gave a bitter smile filled with helplessness.

    “Let’s go find Xu Shaochen.”

Suddenly a young man in his thirties said.

    “What?”

Everyone’s gaze quickly gathered on him as if seeing a madman.

“I said let’s go find Xu Shaochen.” The young man’s eyes flashed with color his voice firmer than before.

“Are you crazy? You think Xu Shaochen is a fool? Just after we left this happened he’d surely suspect us going to him now would be suicide.”

“Exactly Xu isn’t a good person hoping he’d abide is impossible.”

“Yes his smiling face is merely for outsiders inside he’s like a wolf or tiger.”

Everyone instinctively rejected the idea knowing Xu Shaochen doesn’t play by the rules.

“Precisely because he’s tough we must see him and explain the previous incident…” The young man paused then gave a dark smile “Besides don’t you want to teach that bastard Liao Zhou a lesson?”

    “You mean…”

Someone already understood the young man’s meaning.

“Exactly we’ll go to him confess and be willing to testify it was Liao Zhou organizing us we are small players Xu Shaochen shouldn’t eradicate us if we admit our errors.”

The more the young man spoke the more confident he sounded because of Liao Zhou’s attitude they found a possible path.

“He won’t eradicate us but we will pay a price right?”

    Someone asked rhetorically.

The young man looked at him puzzled by how such a fool could be among them?

He didn’t say this insult but instead said “We’re bound to pay but at least get by longer and besides take down Liao Zhou and vent our anger.”

“I agree with this plan currently we have no better option.”

“Since we’re all going count me in damn it if worse comes to worst I’ll close my company and enjoy life abroad but I must bite Liao Zhou before leaving.”

After brief hesitation everyone agreed to the proposal.

Mainly because Liao Zhou’s earlier attitude helped them make up their minds.
