Chapter 1163: You’re Really Something

The next morning.

As soon as he woke up Xu Shaochen saw Long Yi’s message on his phone.

A smile tugged at the corner of his mouth as he called Wang Kun.

“Hello.”

“Wang Zhanhang is dead” Xu Shaochen said.

“Really?” Wang Kun’s voice rose by several pitches then he asked “By the way what’s in the lab?”

“Nothing much just some strange stuff” Xu Shaochen wasn’t going to tell Wang Kun what the lab was researching.

Wang Kun sensed Xu Shaochen didn’t want to say more though curious he wisely didn’t press.

“Just speed up your work I’ll hang up now.”

After saying this Xu Shaochen prepared to hang up Wang Kun hurriedly said “Wait Brother at least give me some advice.”

“Tell the Tianqing shareholders the Yunzhou lab was raided by me I’ve no doubt you can contact them create some trouble for your dad.”

“Also ask if they’re considering replacing Tianqing’s leader as per your info Wang Lan’s embezzling to get Wang Sheng back created rifts they’re already unhappy don’t need me to explain more.”

Xu Shaochen felt quite devious for giving such a sinister idea.

But the thought that it was only hurting his father made him feel better.

After saying this he noticed Wang Kun hadn’t spoken for a while he asked “Hello listening?”

“You’re really something” Wang Kun genuinely admired.

Xu Shaochen chuckled “If my advice is bad what about your adoption of it?”

“Of course I’m not decent either.”

Wang Kun laughed.

“That’s why we get along so well.”

Xu Shaochen said then hung up.

Knock knock…

Just after he hung up the door was knocked.

“Mr. Xu are you awake?”

It was Chen Dongqiu’s voice from outside.

“Just a moment.”

Xu Shaochen said and opened the door wearing a nightgown.

Chen Dongqiu entered with breakfast “Mr. Xu have breakfast first.”

“What’s up?” Xu Shaochen glanced at the breakfast then at Chen Dongqiu.

Chen Dongqiu sheepishly said “Mr. Xu my dad wants to invite you home.”

The previous night his dad questioned him thoroughly like an investigating officer.

Upon learning of his good relationship with Xu Shaochen he was tasked with inviting him.

Though annoyed by his dad’s favoritism Chen Dongqiu didn’t hold a grudge he had a better life than most people.

So he couldn’t refuse his dad’s request hence bringing breakfast so early.

“When?” Xu Shaochen casually asked he wouldn’t refuse as it’d put Chen Dongqiu in a bad position with his dad.

Chen Dongqiu’s eyes brightened “Today at noon.”

“Give me the address I’ll come there myself.” Xu Shaochen nodded.

“No no” Chen Dongqiu quickly waved his hand “Can’t let you come alone I’ll pick you up.”

After speaking he glanced at his watch “Mr. Xu have breakfast I’ll head to the market to get some ingredients.”

Everyone knows the earlier you buy groceries the fresher the selection.

“Alright.”

Xu Shaochen nodded took his breakfast and went inside.

Chen Dongqiu closed the door and left.

After eating Xu Shaochen changed clothes and headed out.

“Boss.”

As soon as he stepped out Long Yi and Long Er who’d been waiting followed.

“Have you eaten?”

Xu Shaochen asked while heading to the elevator without looking back.

“Yes boss.”

They replied entering the elevator.

“What’s up with Zhanhang? Not answering since yesterday no news.”

Wang Lan’s brows furrowed deeply.

Yesterday during a call about Yunzhou issues he raged at Wang Zhanhang.

He questioned why return when the lab was lost.

He was furious then because the lab was crucial and now had no idea how to face Tianqing’s shareholders.

So he vented on the call to Wang Zhanhang.

But now a whole day with no news of Zhanhang worried him as Zhanhang was his son.

“Boss don’t worry I’ll have someone check it out in the Dragon Country the Young Master had lots of people with him.”

A bodyguard reassured him.

“Alright go.”

Wang Lan sighed feeling helpless.

Suddenly his phone rang.

Seeing the caller ID his brows furrowed further he answered “What is it?”

“Don’t you think you owe us an explanation about Yunzhou lab? Old place be quick don’t waste our patience.”

The caller hung up.

Hearing the busy tone from the phone Wang Lan stood frozen.

Damn it how did they know about the Yunzhou lab he hadn’t told them.

His face turned dark as this meant a trusted person was a traitor.

He knew there were spies within Tianqing but someone in his core circle was intolerable.

“I’ve not treated you poorly.”

Wang Lan muttered murderously the room seemed colder.

Little did he know his son Wang Kun was the traitor.

Three hours earlier.

After talking to Xu Shaochen Wang Kun contacted the shareholders.

As Xu Shaochen mentioned after years in Tianqing he had his own means.

He told them Xu Shaochen raided the Yunzhou lab seeking their support for leadership.

Thus someone called to question Wang Lan.
