Chapter 164: Bring Back a Souvenir
by xennovel“How dare you!”
Zhou Yun’s expression changed drastically.
“What wouldn’t I dare?”
Xu Shaochen asked mockingly.
Zhou Yun had just said the same thing to him, so now it was time to return the favor—with action.
Long San and Long Si immediately moved forward, pinning Zhou Yun to the ground, holding him down tightly so he couldn’t move.
“Xu! If you dare to do this, I’ll make sure your entire family dies without a proper burial! I’ll make them all accompany my fingers in death!”
Zhou Yun struggled desperately, his eyes bloodshot, filled with both anger and panic.
A few fingers might not be fatal, but the excruciating pain that strikes deep into the soul is something nobody would want to experience.
“Wait, I’ve changed my mind.” Xu Shaochen suddenly said.
“Huff, huff…”
Zhou Yun let out a long breath of relief, sneering, “You finally realize the gravity of the situation. Otherwise, even if I were slightly injured, your entire family’s pathetic lives wouldn’t be enough to compensate.”
“Heh, there’s no need to just break five fingers; break his entire hand, then throw him out and let’s see if a car runs faster or if he can crawl with one hand faster.” Xu Shaochen smirked and ground his foot into Zhou Yun’s fingers.
“Ahhh!”
As the saying goes, the fingers are connected to the heart. Zhou Yun let out a scream of agony, his face turning ghastly pale.
“Kid, if you do this to Young Master Yun, you’re dead! You’re dead! Your entire family is doomed!”
Fang Ping, who had somehow managed to get back on his feet, glared at Xu Shaochen with clenched teeth, blood still dripping from the corner of his mouth.
He couldn’t believe Xu Shaochen was this audacious, willing to go so far as to gamble with Zhou Yun’s life.
He could already foresee Xu Shaochen’s fate. His entire family would be buried alive or fed to the fishes, as no one was allowed to challenge the Zhou Family’s authority.
“Bang!”
“Call your dad and tell him to get over here to see me.”
Xu Shaochen kicked Fang Ping to the ground once more and calmly demanded, his tone leaving no room for debate.
Feeling utterly humiliated by Xu Shaochen, Fang Ping, suppressing his pain and fury, thought, “Just wait… When my dad arrives, I’ll definitely make you wish you were dead.”
With rage simmering in his heart, Fang Ping pulled out his Phone and dialed his father’s number.
“Boss, if we just throw him out on the street and he gets run over by a car, it could lead to big trouble.” Long Si whispered as he stood beside Xu Shaochen, pointing to Zhou Yun.
Xu Shaochen’s face remained indifferent as he replied, “Just breaking one hand will suffice. Young Master Zhou worked so hard to come all the way from Jiangzhou, he should take back a souvenir—one he’ll remember for the rest of his life.”
He was just trying to scare Zhou Yun, not actually kill him.
After all, the Zhou Family had significant influence in various parts of Yunzhou. If Zhou Yun died, it might bring some trouble his way.
Besides, if he really intended to send Zhou Yun to meet his maker, this wasn’t the method he’d choose.
“Got it, Boss.”
Long Si nodded, then grabbed a stool and walked step by step toward Zhou Yun.
“Let me go! Let me go! Xu! I swear I’ll have my revenge, and I’ll make sure it’s paid in blood!”
Seeing Long Si approaching, Zhou Yun temporarily forgot the pain in his fingers and began struggling and shouting.
“Bang!”
Long Si brought the stool down hard.
“Ahhhh!”
Zhou Yun let out another anguished scream as his entire arm was twisted beyond recognition. Even if it were reattached, it would never be the same.
“Dad, please come and save me…”
After dialing the number, Fang Ping had just spoken when Xu Shaochen suddenly grabbed his Phone.
“Hey! What trouble have you gotten into this time? Speak up! Why aren’t you saying anything?!”
Hearing the furious voice on the Phone, Xu Shaochen smirked and said, “Director Fang, no need to be so worked up. Your son is doing just fine at the moment. But if you don’t get here soon, you might have to head to the crematorium to collect his ashes instead.”
“Who are you!? What do you want!? I’m telling you, if my son so much as loses a hair, I’ll have you torn limb from limb!”
“Oh, I almost forgot to tell you the address—Faraway 4S Store, Central Plaza location. I’ll only wait for fifteen minutes, because that’s all you’re worth.”
With that, Xu Shaochen ignored the roaring voice on the other end, casually hanging up the call and tossing the Phone back to Fang Ping.
“Pour me a glass of water, thanks.”
Xu Shaochen casually pulled up a chair and sat down. He smiled faintly at a frightened sales clerk, who quickly moved to fetch him a glass of water, her voice trembling, “Mr. Xu… Here’s your water.”
Xu Shaochen took just one sip before handing the glass to Song Xinran.
A long wait ensued as Xu Shaochen crossed his legs, his fingers rhythmically tapping the armrest of the chair.
Song Xinran took the initiative to stand behind Xu Shaochen, gently massaging his temples.
For a moment, the large 4S Store was eerily silent except for the steady “thud thud” of Xu Shaochen’s fingers tapping the armrest.
Zhou Yun and Fang Ping glared at Xu Shaochen with hatred-filled eyes.
Fang Ping waited, knowing that once his father arrived with reinforcements, he’d make sure Xu Shaochen suffered for this insult, exacting revenge tenfold.
Zhou Yun, too, swore to himself. He would kill Xu Shaochen, or today’s humiliation would never be washed away.
Taking a long, hard look at Xu Shaochen, Zhou Yun started to rise, ready to leave.
Because he knew, once Fang Ping’s father arrived, it would only add more insult. Not that it would help anyway.
“You might walk out of this store, but you’ll never walk out of Jiangzhou.”
He had just taken one step when Xu Shaochen’s airy voice came from behind him.
A flash of anger crossed Zhou Yun’s eyes, but after a moment of hesitation, he slowly pulled his foot back and asked coldly, “What exactly do you want?”
“Don’t worry. I’ve already given you a souvenir. I’ll make sure you live to bring it back to Yunzhou.”
Xu Shaochen responded lazily, closing his eyes for a brief nap, ignoring Zhou Yun.
To be honest, Song Xinran’s massage felt pretty good, making him feel very relaxed, almost enough to drift off to sleep.
Fuming with rage internally, Zhou Yun nonetheless had no choice but to swallow his pride and endure it.
“Tap, tap, tap…”
Suddenly, a series of hurried and chaotic footsteps echoed through the store, and soon a group of people stormed into the 4S Store.
Leading the pack was a middle-aged man in a silver suit, his face drawn with worry and anger, sweat beading on his forehead.
