Feeling the searing pain on her face, Lili was furious, but this time, she didn’t dare say anything reckless.

“Stop it! If you’ve got a problem, take it out on me. If you dare lay a hand on Lili again, I’ll kill your entire family!”

Li Shun roared in anger as he glared at Xu Shaochen, speaking through gritted teeth.

Xu Shaochen stepped forward and grabbed Li Shun by the neck, lifting him off the ground. His voice was icy, “You’re not the first to threaten to kill my family. Do you know what happened to those before you? The grass on their graves is already three feet high.”

“If not for your dad’s sake, you’d already be a cripple by now.”

Xu Shaochen said calmly, sitting back down and continuing his meal.

Li Shun smirked. You’re afraid of my dad, just admit it. Why bother pretending?

“Lili, don’t worry. Once my dad gets here, I’ll make sure to avenge you.”

Li Shun vowed to Lili, his tone resolute, the very picture of a loyal lackey.

Lili touched the palm marks on her face and gave Xu Shaochen a cold smile.
