Chapter Index

“Beautiful lady, Wan Liang and Luo Juan are your friends, right? Don’t worry, I’m actually a reasonable person.”

Liu Wenbiao ignored Yellow Hair’s complaints. He looked at Song Xinran with a big smile, his eyes blazing with desire.

A woman like her, he had to have her, otherwise he wouldn’t be able to sleep at night.

Song Xinran just glanced at him coldly, a hint of mockery flashing in her eyes. She didn’t even bother to respond.

Feeling the disdain in Song Xinran’s gaze, Liu Wenbiao was filled with rage. Who did she think she was? Just a whore, who had been used by countless men. How dare she be so proud in front of him?

With that thought, the smile on Liu Wenbiao’s face gradually disappeared. He said coldly, “I’m determined to get this storefront. If you agree to be my woman, I don’t mind giving them a little more money.”

“You’re so arrogant! Do you even respect the law?” Xu Shaochen wrapped an arm around Song Xinran and looked at Liu Wenbiao.

A flash of jealousy appeared in Liu Wenbiao’s eyes as he arrogantly replied, “On this piece of land in Haiwen County, I, Liu Wenbiao, am the law! I am the rule!”

He could tell Xu Shaochen and the others weren’t ordinary people.

But that didn’t matter. As long as they were still in Haiwen County, Liu Wenbiao was unbeatable.

“By what right?” Xu Shaochen sneered.

Liu Wenbiao grinned and pointed at Xu Shaochen’s nose, “You want to know by what right? Fine, I’ll show you.”

    “Clack!”

He pulled out a wad of cash with his left hand and slapped it on the table, then took the bag from the young man’s hand behind him and dumped it onto the table with his right.

Only then did everyone realize that the bag contained an illegally modified five-shot shotgun.

Wan Liang and Luo Juan turned pale with fear. They hadn’t expected Liu Wenbiao to bring guns—two of them, in fact.

“You asked what allows me to do as I please? This, these two things! Is that enough?” Liu Wenbiao looked down at Xu Shaochen, his voice dripping with arrogance.

In Haiwen County, even dragons had to coil, and tigers had to lie low. Anyone daring to challenge Liu Wenbiao needed to know their own weight.

“Ha! I have both of those as well, and more.” Xu Shaochen laughed lightly. If Liu Wenbiao thought two shotguns would scare him, he was overestimating himself.

Liu Wenbiao was taken aback, then sneered viciously, “So what? This is Haiwen County, my turf!”

Xu Shaochen stared at him silently.

Seeing Xu Shaochen stay quiet, Liu Wenbiao thought he was scared and turned to Wan Liang and Luo Juan, “Today, you’re moving out of this storefront, or don’t blame me for being rude. Wan Liang, right? Actually, your wife looks pretty tasty too. I wonder what she’s like in bed.”

“You beast! How dare you!” Wan Liang instantly stood up, staring at Liu Wenbiao with eyes full of rage.

    “Smack!”

Liu Wenbiao slapped him across the face and chuckled coldly, “What wouldn’t I dare? You think I’m offering too little money? Fine, let your wife sleep with me and I’ll give you an extra 10,000 yuan. How about that?”

Luo Juan’s face turned pale with anger, and she was trembling with rage.

“Hahaha! Kid, you still haven’t thanked Liu Shao for his generosity.”

“Yeah, Liu Shao’s really raising your worth. After all, your wife isn’t really worth that much per night!”

“Maybe we could even try her out ourselves, hahaha…”

The men behind Liu Wenbiao all broke into laughter, their eyes full of mockery as they stared at Wan Liang.

Wan Liang’s anger was like a roaring fire. His eyes locked onto the men, looking ready to explode at any moment.

    “Bang!”

Suddenly, a plate of food, plate and all, smashed into Liu Wenbiao’s face, shattering on impact.

    “Aah!”

Liu Wenbiao screamed as he fell back onto the ground. Blood started oozing from his forehead, mingling with oil, making for a nauseating sight.

    “Liu Shao, are you okay?”

Liu Wenbiao’s men were instantly flustered, rushing to help him up.

“You’re really disgusting! Pah! Doesn’t your mother count as a woman too?” Song Xinran spat through gritted teeth. She was the one who threw the plate.

Xu Shaochen was stunned. This was the first time he’d seen Song Xinran act so violently. It seemed she was really pissed off.

“Damn it, you slut! I’m definitely going to screw you tonight!” Liu Wenbiao wiped the oil and blood from his face, glaring at Song Xinran as he gritted his teeth.

“Everyone in here, except those two whores, gets beaten!”

Liu Wenbiao’s voice was hysterical. In Haiwen County, someone dared hit him? Unbelievable!

    “Clack!”

Long Yi and Long Er drew their guns, pressing them against Liu Wenbiao’s forehead.

Liu Wenbiao’s expression froze. His body started trembling. These were real guns, not like his five-shot shotgun! “Liu Shao!”

Liu Wenbiao’s men turned pale, shocked to see that Long Yi and Long Er were armed.

Wan Liang and Luo Juan were also startled. They knew Xu Shaochen was formidable but had no idea it was to this extent.

“Who are you trying to scare? If you dare to shoot me, I’ll change my surname to yours!”

Liu Wenbiao tried to suppress his fear, staring at Xu Shaochen angrily. He didn’t believe they’d really shoot.

These were real guns with great power, unlike his five-shot shotgun. He just didn’t believe they would dare to shoot.

“Not shooting doesn’t mean we wouldn’t dare. It’s just that someone like you isn’t worth wasting a bullet on. After all, bullets cost a good few bucks.”

Xu Shaochen smirked, then grabbed a beer bottle and smashed it over Liu Wenbiao’s head.

    “Crash!”

The bottle shattered instantly, and Liu Wenbiao let out a scream, clutching his bleeding forehead.

The others didn’t dare move. They were too scared to gamble on whether Long Yi and Long Er would actually shoot.

“Kid, you’re asking for death!” Liu Wenbiao shouted.

    “Crash!”

Another beer bottle smashed over his head.

    “I’m telling you…”

Before he could finish his sentence, Xu Shaochen, expressionless, slammed another bottle onto his head.

Liu Wenbiao’s forehead was already drenched in blood, his face a mess. He looked utterly pathetic.

For a moment, the entire restaurant fell into an eerie silence.

“You dog, who gave you the guts to act arrogant in front of me?”

Xu Shaochen coldly looked at Liu Wenbiao, his gaze icy.

“Kid, you’ll leave eventually! I… I don’t believe you can protect them forever!”

Liu Wenbiao knew he couldn’t move anymore, but he refused to believe that Xu Shaochen could protect Wan Liang and Luo Juan forever!
