When Xu Shaochen walked out of the elevator wearing sneakers, what he saw was Liu Rushuang’s two uncles, along with a young man, causing a commotion surrounded by several security guards.

“Chairman Xu.”

When the security guards saw Xu Shaochen, they quickly and respectfully greeted him. After all, the company’s opening caused quite a stir—who wouldn’t recognize Xu Shaochen?

Xu Shaochen waved his hand, signaling for them to step aside, and then walked forward with Liu Rushuang.

“It’s him! He’s the one who had us thrown out!”

Liu Rushuang’s eldest uncle spoke through gritted teeth to Liu Rulong.

Looking at the elegant Liu Rushuang, Liu Rulong became even more envious of Xu Shaochen. He stepped forward threateningly, “You had my parents thrown out and injured them! I’m telling you, you must compensate us, or this won’t end!”

Although his parents were fine, who could stop him from lying? “What kind of compensation do you want?” Xu Shaochen asked with a playful smile. Did they think he was so easy to con?

Hearing this, Liu Rulong’s eyes flickered, and he gritted his teeth before saying, “One million. Give us one million, and this will be over. Otherwise, I’ll sue you!”

In his mind, Xu Shaochen’s company was so big that one million should be nothing.

But what he didn’t know was that, whether it was small or large, Xu Shaochen’s money was not easy to get.

“Liu Rulong, have you lost your mind over money? One million? Do you even know how high one million stacks up?” Liu Rushuang angrily remarked. Her uncle’s family was truly outrageous.

“You… You bastard!” Liu Rushuang cursed in rage. She never expected Liu Rulong to say something so vile.

Seeing Liu Rushuang’s angry expression only filled Liu Rulong with a sense of revengeful satisfaction. He sneered, “What, did I offend you? At home, everyone knew your mother was a tramp, and your short-lived second uncle was an idiot. We’re not even sure if you’re really his kid.”

“You… You…” Liu Rushuang was so furious that she couldn’t speak, her fists clenched tightly.

Xu Shaochen patted her hand, then coldly fixed his gaze on Liu Rulong, “You want one million, right?”

“Yes, yes! One million. Just give me one million, and I’ll leave.” Liu Rulong instantly changed his tone, plastering a fawning expression on his face.

“Slap!”

Xu Shaochen casually slapped him across the face and calmly said, “Still want it?”

“You bastard, are you trying to get yourself killed? Believe me, I’ll take you to court!” Liu Rulong roared in pain, his face burning.

Before he could finish, a bank card was slapped against his face.

“There’s one million inside.” Xu Shaochen said mildly.

Liu Rulong’s eyes lit up. Hastily, he fumbled to grab the card and said with a smirk, “Misunderstanding, it’s all just a misunderstanding! Hit me as much as you like—if you want to hit a few more times, go ahead.”

Damn, this money is too easy to make! One slap for a million? It’s money he couldn’t earn in a lifetime.

He grew greedy. If this guy’s money was so easy to get, then why stop at just one time?

He decided that he’d come back later with excuses about lingering injuries to blackmail Xu Shaochen again.

Even if he couldn’t rip off Xu Shaochen, he’d at least try to squeeze some cash from Liu Rushuang.

“Shaochen, why are you giving him money? He’s insatiable. Even ten million wouldn’t be enough to satisfy him!” Liu Rushuang clutched Xu Shaochen’s hand, her face full of anxiety.

Liu Rulong’s expression darkened at those words. He snarled, “You whore, what did you say? Just spread your legs on the bed for your boss—don’t talk shit about me!”

“One million, I gave it to you. Is it enough?” Xu Shaochen asked with a smile.

Liu Rulong hurriedly nodded. “Yes, it’s enough, it’s enough.”

For now, of course, it’s enough. But who knows about the future?

“Good, then. This one million is your compensation.” Xu Shaochen said lightly.

Liu Rulong was stunned, “My compensation?”

Shouldn’t it be for his parents? What did it have to do with him?

“Yes, your compensation.” Xu Shaochen nodded, then waved his hand and coldly ordered, “Make sure he lives in the hospital for at least a year.”

“Got it.”

Long Yi and Long Er responded in unison, their faces turning sinister as they stared at Liu Rulong.

“W-What are you doing? Don’t come any closer! Stay away!”

Liu Rulong’s face filled with fear as he retreated, feeling as if the bank card in his hand was burning.

“Bang!”

Long Yi kicked him to the ground, and the two of them immediately began a relentless assault of punches and kicks.

This was a million-dollar beating, so they had to go all out. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be worth the one million the boss shelled out.

“Ah! My leg! Stop hitting me! I’ll definitely sue you! Ah!”

Liu Rulong curled up on the ground, screaming and cursing, only to eventually resort to begging and crying.

“Stop it! Stop it! Don’t hit him! Liu Rushuang, do you have no conscience? Are you just going to watch them beat your cousin?”

Just as Liu Rulong’s parents were about to rush forward, Long Yi and Long Er blocked their way.

Xu Shaochen walked up step by step and squatted down in front of Liu Rulong. He picked up the fallen bank card and tossed it back onto Liu Rulong’s battered face with a faint smile, “Is my money that easy to get? Remember this, if you try this again, you may not live to spend it. Of course, you’re welcome to try suing me—I’m all for it.”

Liu Rulong stared at Xu Shaochen, terrified, shaking his head repeatedly. He had thought he could extort Xu Shaochen easily, but he now realized how foolish that idea was.

“Throw him out and clean this place up. It’s disgusting.”

Xu Shaochen looked at the security guards and waved dismissively.

“Yes, Chairman Xu.”

The security guards quickly responded, each one showing a look of disdain as they looked at Liu Rulong.

Trying to extort Chairman Xu? Not worried about getting money but not living long enough to spend it.

But they still thought Liu Rulong got off easy. Even if he was laid up in the hospital for a year, he’d still be left with several hundred thousand.

Of course, none of them were jealous. No one wanted to end up beaten like a stray dog.
