Chapter Index

    One Way Street.

That’s the name of the bar.

As the name suggests, it’s a paradise for single customers. Everyone who comes here is single.

As soon as Xu Shaochen and his friends entered the bar, they were hit by a lively atmosphere. Accompanied by blasting music, countless men and women were wildly shaking their bodies.

These were students, white-collar workers, and housewives by day, but right now, they were just stress relievers letting loose.

Zhou Fan, Li Qi, and Liu Chao were stunned, their eyes glazing over as they took in the sea of long, white legs.

“Let’s go, let’s order some food and drinks, then get a booth.”

Xu Shaochen broke their trance and immediately ordered drinks and snacks worth tens of thousands, securing a large booth.

Generally, bar booths have minimum spending requirements based on the number of people.

“We’ll go play for a bit.”

Not even five minutes after sitting down, Zhou Fan, Li Qi, and Liu Chao rushed into the crowd.

“Want to dance?” Xu Shaochen crossed his legs and looked at Xie Wei beside him.

Xie Wei shook her head with a slight smile: “I’m fine sitting here, you go ahead.”

Although she didn’t like seeing Xu Shaochen flirting with other women, she knew she wasn’t in a position to control him. She could only surrender to the reality.

A guy like Xu Shaochen wouldn’t have just one woman. She simply wanted to hold onto her place as one of them.

As a person, the most important thing is to recognize your own worth and limitations.

Xu Shaochen nodded slightly, got up, and walked into the crowd. Regardless of what Xie Wei thought, the most important thing was that he was happy.

Xu Shaochen spotted a hot woman in tight jeans and a crop top. He immediately walked over to her.

“Hey, handsome! You must be new here. I don’t remember seeing you before!”

The woman’s eyes lit up when she saw Xu Shaochen. He was handsome, and she quickly recognized the brand of his clothing.

A young, wealthy guy like him? She wouldn’t mind if something happened between them tonight.

“Yeah, first time here. I don’t know how to dance. Want to teach me?”

Xu Shaochen smiled at the woman and naturally took her hand.

“Sure! Put one arm around me, just like that. Now, let’s move…”

“You’re so beautiful. If you were my wife, I’d be so happy.” Xu Shaochen sweet-talked her, words flowing freely.

The woman’s smile grew even wider at his words. She playfully said, “You’re too late. I’m already married and a housewife.”

“Even if you were my wife for just tonight, I’d be satisfied.” Xu Shaochen whispered into her ear. After all, words are free.

The woman smiled charmingly but didn’t respond.

While dancing with the woman, Xu Shaochen suddenly noticed a man pestering Xie Wei. His expression instantly darkened, and he let go of the woman to walk over.

    “Hey… Bastard!”

The woman stomped her foot angrily, watching Xu Shaochen’s back. He was like a firestarter who didn’t stick around to see the flames.

“Hey there, beautiful. First time here? Never seen you before. Why don’t you come sit with me?”

Zhang Ji flashed what he thought was a charming smile at Xie Wei, his eyes full of desire. This woman was absolutely stunning; he had to have her.

He had been drinking with his friends a little while ago when he saw Xie Wei alone, captivated by her figure and face. So he came over to chat.

Xie Wei frowned slightly and coldly responded, “Sorry, I don’t know you, and I don’t want to know you. Please leave immediately.”

At this moment, she had the aura of an ice-cold goddess.

“Hehe, beautiful, I’m not a bad guy. Why don’t we chat first? You don’t mind if I sit here, right?”

Zhang Ji wasn’t surprised by her rejection. He knew women like her needed to be slowly wooed.

    “I do mind.”

Just as Zhang Ji was about to sit down, a voice rang out from behind him.

“Shaochen, I don’t know him. He’s been pestering me.”

Xie Wei quickly stood up and hurried over to Xu Shaochen, pointing at Zhang Ji with a disgusted tone.

“Hehe, bro, your girlfriend is really pretty. Sorry, I didn’t know she was yours.”

Zhang Ji turned around and looked at Xu Shaochen. A flash of jealousy appeared in his eyes, but it quickly disappeared as he spoke nonchalantly.

Although he was bitter, he knew his place. At most, he could vent some frustration with a few words. He couldn’t afford to get physical with the girl’s boyfriend standing right there.

After saying that, he prepared to leave and find his next target.

Xu Shaochen held Xie Wei close, looked at Zhang Ji, and smiled slightly: “Just gonna leave like that? Not going to apologize?”

“Bro, what did you just say?” Zhang Ji stopped in his tracks, squinting his eyes and smirking sarcastically.

Xu Shaochen calmly looked at him and uttered two words: “Apologize.”

Zhang Ji’s face darkened as he sneered: “Apologize? Who do you think you are? You think you’re something special? Let me give you a tip: Keep a closer eye on your girlfriend. With a face like hers, she could easily get into trouble.”

His last words were a blatant threat as he eyed Xie Wei up and down.

Xie Wei’s heart was full of anger but also tinged with fear, her face growing paler.

“Come closer, I’ll teach you a lesson.” Xu Shaochen stared at Zhang Ji for a moment, then suddenly smiled and waved him over casually.

Zhang Ji scoffed and took two steps forward, mockingly saying: “Spit it out. I don’t have time to waste on you, but your girlfriend…”

    “Bam!”

Before he could finish, Xu Shaochen grabbed an unopened bottle and smashed it over his head.

The bottle shattered instantly, a mix of alcohol and blood streaming down Zhang Ji’s face.

    “Ahh!”

Zhang Ji clutched his forehead and let out a blood-curdling scream, staggering several steps back and nearly falling.

    “He’s hitting someone!”

    “Fight! Fight!”

Noticing the commotion, the surrounding women shrieked, gathering around to watch.

Xie Wei was equally shocked. But after processing what had happened, her heart swelled with gratitude. The way she looked at Xu Shaochen changed, filled with new emotions and tenderness.

    “Clink.”

Xu Shaochen ignored the onlookers, casually dropped the broken half-bottle, grabbed Zhang Ji by the hair, and pulled him closer with a calm smile.

“Come on, tell me loudly, did you learn the lesson I just taught you?”
