Chapter Index

“Hmph! Kid, what nonsense are you spouting? Considering we’re all citizens of Longguo, I’ll give you a chance—surrender quietly and spare yourself some unnecessary pain.”

The leading bodyguard glanced at Xu Shaochen with a cold snort, his eyes gleaming with a fierce, icy light.

Xu Shaochen chuckled as if he had heard some kind of joke. His lips curled into a faint, mocking smile as he looked at the bodyguard. “A citizen of Longguo? Do you even deserve that title?”

“Damn! You don’t know what’s good for you! Die!”

The lead bodyguard cursed in anger and swung his baton directly at Xu Shaochen’s forehead.

As Jin Cunyue witnessed this, a venomous glint crossed his eyes. Damn that Longguo scum! How dare he slap me? He must be courting death.

Xu Shaochen stood motionless, but Long Er stepped forward, positioning himself in front of him, and then kicked out.

    “Ah! Ugh—”

The lead bodyguard let out a scream. Blood spurted from his mouth as he staggered back several steps, his baton slipping from his grasp.

Long Er grabbed the baton and, alongside Long Yi, charged towards the seven or eight remaining bodyguards.

“Ah! Stop hitting me, my head!”

    “Aagh!”

Soon, the screams filled the air. The idling bodyguards were no match for Long Yi and Long Er. In just a few minutes, they were all lying on the ground.

Everyone around was left dumbfounded, their eyes filled with disbelief, as if they had just witnessed something unreal.

    “This… this can’t be possible!”

Even Jin Cunyue’s once smug smile vanished, replaced by sheer terror. He involuntarily stepped back two paces.

Never in his wildest dreams would he have imagined that seven or eight bodyguards could be taken down so easily by two men, beaten up like they were nothing.

“I don’t care if that Stick is your dad or your mom. Move aside and let the ambulance through right now. If someone dies, you’re all responsible.”

Xu Shaochen momentarily ignored Jin Cunyue, coldly addressing the crowd of crazed fans.

“What if we don’t move? Who do you think you are? Whether he lives or dies is none of our business!”

At the front of the crowd, a woman wearing glasses shouted harshly, her tone arrogant.

“Exactly! We didn’t run him over, so why should we move? We’re going to block the way, so what?”

    “We’ll stand right here. It’s our right…”

Others chimed in, smugly agreeing as if they were proudly displaying their unity.

    “Smack!”

Xu Shaochen raised his hand and slapped the glasses-wearing woman across the face, knocking her glasses off. He stared at her coldly and squeezed out a single word through his clenched teeth: “Move!”

“You…” The woman felt a surge of anger, but when she met Xu Shaochen’s icy gaze, a chill ran down her spine, and she reluctantly stepped aside.

The woman with glasses retreated out of fear, but the rest of the crowd continued to block the way, refusing to let the ambulance pass. They all assumed that the law wouldn’t punish them as a group, opposing a life-saving emergency just for their beloved idol.

“Damn! If my daughter acted like this, I’d break her legs.”

“I wonder how their parents raised them to act like this.”

“Yeah, always squealing ‘oppa, oppa,’ all day long. One slap from me would straighten them out!”

The drivers who got out of their cars due to the traffic jam looked on angrily at the brainless fans, wishing they could teach them a lesson with some street justice.

“You have one last minute. If you don’t move, I’ll have someone drive over you to clear a path. I want to see how many of you are truly unafraid of death. I’m not lacking anything—except money.”

As Xu Shaochen uttered these words, his tone was calm, his face expressionless, and his gaze icy as he scanned the crowd.

Nobody dared to meet his gaze. Everyone broke into a cold sweat as his words, although insane, were somehow terrifyingly convincing. No one dared to gamble that Xu Shaochen was simply bluffing.

Because until today, they couldn’t imagine that someone’s look could be so chilling, disregarding all rules and indifferent to all lives.

For a moment, it was as if a shadow of death loomed over them. The temperature dropped a few degrees, sending a chill deep into their bones.

    “Gulp~”

Someone in the crowd audibly swallowed before taking a step back. Like a domino effect, everyone began to slowly move aside, making way for the ambulance.

    “I hope there’s still time.”

Xu Shaochen’s gaze softened, and he looked at the doctor in the white lab coat, offering a calm smile as he spoke in a steady voice.

“On behalf of the firefighter who’s clinging to life, I thank you!”

The doctor solemnly bowed to Xu Shaochen before quickly boarding the ambulance, as saving lives took priority.

    “Clap, clap, clap…”

The surrounding drivers started to applaud, feeling a rush of satisfaction upon seeing the terrified brainless fans finally being subdued.

“What are you still doing here? Do you want me to treat you to dinner? Get lost!”

Xu Shaochen watched as the ambulance drove away, his expression returning to its usual sternness as he scanned the area and shouted at the brainless fans.

Already trembling with fear, the brainless fans jumped at his outburst and quickly ran away.

After all the fans had left, Xu Shaochen slowly walked towards Jin Cunyue.

The other drivers wanted to stay and watch the commotion, but they realized that if they didn’t move their cars soon, another traffic jam would start within minutes. Reluctantly, they left.

“You… what do you want? I’m warning you, don’t do anything reckless! I’m a citizen of the Stick Nation. Your actions could cause a diplomatic incident!”

As Xu Shaochen steadily approached, Jin Cunyue’s face turned pale. He kept backing up, his face filled with panic.

“Don’t worry. I just want to tell you that from now on, you’d better stay in Jiangzhou. If I don’t allow it, you won’t be able to take a single step out of Jiangzhou. If you can, I lose.”

Xu Shaochen reached out and patted Jin Cunyue’s cheek with a mocking grin, then chuckled and turned to walk towards the Rolls-Royce.

As he turned, Xu Shaochen ‘accidentally’ stepped on one of the fallen bodyguard’s fingers. Hmm, and then he grinded it into the ground a few times.

    “Huff… huff…”

Watching the Rolls-Royce drive away, everyone in Jin Cunyue’s team let out a long breath of relief, wiping the cold sweat from their foreheads.

“Damn it! Useless! All Longguo people are useless!”

Looking at the groaning bodyguards on the ground, Jin Cunyue, now furious, ran over and kicked them several times, venting his anger on them.

After a few kicks, Jin Cunyue was already out of breath. He spoke to his assistant in a broken voice, “Book… book a flight to the Stick Nation immediately. I don’t believe for a second that just because of what he said, I can’t leave Jiangzhou. Such arrogance from a Longguo person—utterly ridiculous.”
