Chapter Index

“What do you mean by that?”

Xu Shaochen looked at Jia Ze with an amused smile. He knew exactly what Jia Ze meant, but he pretended to ask anyway.

If it were another woman, Xu Shaochen might worry about things going south. But with Xie Wei, there was nothing to fear.

Xie Wei had always been lenient with him. She even said before that she didn’t mind Xu Shaochen playing around with women.

So, Jia Ze’s attempt to ruin their relationship was nothing but a pipe dream.

“Hmph, you know perfectly well what I mean, Xu Shaochen. You could try kneeling and begging me, and maybe I won’t spill the beans.” Jia Ze said with a proud look on his face. Damn, there’s no way I’ll let you off the hook.

In fact, he was a bit jealous of Xu Shaochen. How many people fantasize about being with both the teacher and the student at the same time?

Xu Shaochen smirked and softly spat out two words: “Idiot.”

“Fine, fine, you want to play tough, huh? You forced me into this!” Jia Ze raged. He turned to Xie Wei and said, “Hey beauty, maybe you don’t know this, but while Xu Shaochen is dating you, he’s also messing around with your teacher. Who knows how many other women he’s involved with? Is this guy really worth your love?”

“Of course, he is. Why wouldn’t he be? The fact that he can handle so many women at once shows he’s capable and charismatic. It proves I made the right choice. Is there a problem?” Xie Wei nodded and looked earnestly at Jia Ze as she asked the question.

“….” Jia Ze felt a million grass mud horses stampeding in his mind. What the heck was this? Are all the women in Jiangzhou like this?

As Jia Ze stood there in shock, Xie Wei looked at Xu Shaochen with tender affection. “Honey, you must be exhausted after spending the night on another woman’s bed. Why don’t I give you a massage in the car to help you relax?”

Jia Ze’s eyes widened as he watched the scene unfold. He swallowed hard as he felt his worldview shatter.

Xu Shaochen patted Jia Ze’s face and shook his head in mock pity. “I called you an idiot, but you still don’t get it. A man like me, blessed by the heavens, can’t be compared to a fool like you. My irresistible charm always makes women follow me willingly.”

    “You bastard!”

The moment Xu Shaochen slapped his face, Jia Ze, who was already furious, exploded with rage. He swung his fist directly at Xu Shaochen.

    “Bam!”

    “Ah!”

But Xu Shaochen raised his foot and kicked Jia Ze to the ground effortlessly.

“From Yunzhou, huh? What makes you think you can kick up a fuss in Jiangzhou? Who gave you the guts to mess with me? The last fool like you, Zhou Yun, has grass growing three feet high over his grave.”

Xu Shaochen glanced at Jia Ze’s Ferrari license plate, then stomped on his chest, pinning him to the ground, making it impossible for him to move.

“Xu Shaochen, you’re seeking death! I’ll make sure you regret it today. Even someone from Yunzhou can crush you!” Jia Ze gritted his teeth as he spoke. As for the Zhou Yun that Xu Shaochen mentioned, Jia Ze dismissed it as a complete joke.

    Who was Zhou Yun?

He was none other than the third young master of the Zhou Family. Xu Shaochen dared to touch him? What a ridiculous claim. If you’re going to lie, at least make it believable.

As soon as he finished speaking, Jia Ze pulled out his phone from his pocket and dialed a number. “Uncle, save me! I’ve been attacked!”

His uncle was a well-known figure in Jiangzhou. How dare someone attack him? Jia Ze was determined to make Xu Shaochen realize that some people should not be provoked.

The moment he finished his sentence, Xu Shaochen snatched the phone from him and said calmly, “I don’t know who you are, and I don’t want to know. But I’ll just tell you this: don’t meddle in things that are beyond you. You can’t afford it. Oh, by the way, my name is Xu Shaochen.”

With that, Xu Shaochen put the phone on speaker and casually threw it next to Jia Ze’s ear.

“Xu… Xu Shaochen?! Mr. Xu, please, calm down! I wouldn’t dare blame you. Thank you, Mr. Xu, for teaching this ungrateful brat a lesson. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure he remembers. The more he hurts, the more he’ll remember!”

Hearing his uncle’s frantic voice on the other end of the line, Jia Ze’s face turned pale. He didn’t expect that just by mentioning his name, Xu Shaochen would freak his uncle out.

It was clear that Xu Shaochen held significant power in Jiangzhou. Getting revenge would be impossible unless Jia Ze did it in Yunzhou.

He thought about Zhang Qingsong. Damn that bastard.

Was this the poor kid he said might have won the lottery and struck it rich overnight? If it weren’t for him, would I have been so humiliated today? Jia Ze’s anger temporarily shifted to Zhang Qingsong.

“Make sure you learn your lesson. I don’t care how impressive you are in Yunzhou. In Jiangzhou, in front of me, Xu Shaochen, if you’re a dragon, you lie low; if you’re a tiger, you crouch.”

Xu Shaochen coldly threw out those words before turning around and getting into his car with Xie Wei.

“Take a photo of your idiot mother!”

Jia Ze got up from the ground, seething with rage. Seeing people taking photos around him, he started cursing loudly.

“Yeah, I’m just here to take a photo of a big idiot.”

    “Hahaha…”

Everyone around burst into laughter. Jia Ze’s eyes turned bloodshot as he got into his car and fled as if running for his life.

Xu Shaochen, you’d better not set foot in Yunzhou for the rest of your life. If you do, I’ll make sure you pay for today’s humiliation.

And Zhang Qingsong, how dare you trick me? You’ve got some nerve!

Jia Ze sped back to the hotel, raging all the way.

“Jia Shao, how did it go? If even you ended up like this, that punk must be in hell.”

Seeing Jia Ze, Zhang Qingsong quickly stood up and greeted him with an excited smile, eager for revenge.

Xu Shaochen… I can’t touch you, but others can. I want to see how long you can keep acting tough.

The only regret was that I wasn’t there to witness it in person.

If Jia Shao ended up in such a sorry state, Xu Shaochen must have suffered even more.

Hearing this, the anger that had subsided in Jia Ze surged back to the surface.

“You’ve got the nerve to ask? Are you mocking me?”

    “Slap!”

    “Jia Shao…”

Before Zhang Qingsong could say anything more, Jia Ze slapped him across the face, leaving him completely stunned.

    “You bastard! You bastard!”

Before Zhang Qingsong could react, Jia Ze started pummeling him with his fists and kicks, his eyes red with fury.

“Ah! Stop! Please, stop! Jia Shao, spare me! I was wrong…”

Zhang Qingsong screamed and pleaded for mercy, not even understanding why he was being beaten.

“From now on, stay the hell away from me!”

After a few minutes of beating, Jia Ze gritted his teeth, spat out those words, and then stormed out of the hotel.

Today, I’ve lost all face. There’s no point staying in Jiangzhou. It’d be so awkward running into Xu Shaochen again.
