Chapter 268: Opening the Door to a New World

“How dare you!”

Chen Dongqiu’s eyes widened at Xu Shaochen’s words, his expression immediately becoming enraged.

These white pills were experimental drugs from a foreign laboratory, more potent than Viagra.

If he were to take them, the consequences would be unimaginable. This was a humiliation he absolutely could not endure.

“What wouldn’t I dare to do?”

Xu Shaochen sneered, throwing him to the ground and stepping on him firmly. He forced his jaw open and shoved three pills in.

“Xu Shaochen, I swear I’ll kill you!”

Chen Dongqiu’s face turned ashen as he roared at Xu Shaochen, his eyes filled with bloodlust.

“Heh, I’ll be waiting. But for now, enjoy yourself tonight.”

Xu Shaochen chuckled and kicked Chen Dongqiu aside. Then, he shoved three more pills into the young man’s mouth.

Now, let’s see who dominates whom.

The pills worked quickly, and soon, Chen Dongqiu’s skin flushed bright red.

Seeing this, Xu Shaochen carried the unconscious Liu Rushuang out of the private room and closed the door behind him.

Chen Dongqiu’s thoughts started to blur, but he knew that he urgently needed to leave the room.

He staggered to his feet, step by step heading toward the door. However, his body betrayed him, moving uncontrollably toward the young man in the corner.

His last bit of sanity crumbled. There was only one thought left in his mind: to possess, to unleash his madness…

When the woman in jeans returned from the restroom and saw what was happening in the private room, she was utterly shocked.

She froze, swallowing hard before hurriedly shutting the door and running away.

Meanwhile, Xu Shaochen had already returned to the hotel with Liu Rushuang. He gave her a cold shower, and the icy water gradually brought her back to her senses.

“Where is Chen Dongqiu?”

It took a while for Liu Rushuang’s mind to clear completely. She stared at Xu Shaochen as she asked.

“Him? He might be having quite the ‘springtime’ moment with someone right now.” Xu Shaochen’s smile was laced with wickedness. Once Chen Dongqiu regained his senses, he’d surely be grateful.

After all, it was thanks to Xu Shaochen that he was able to open the door to a new world.

When Chen Dongqiu woke up, he felt a sharp pain in his backside. He gasped instantly, his mind foggy as he rubbed his head.

But then, in an instant, his face turned ghostly pale as memories from the previous night came flooding back.

“Xu Shaochen! I swear I’ll kill you!”

Chen Dongqiu screamed hysterically. The disgrace, the sheer disgrace. If word of this got out, Chen Dongqiu would become the laughingstock of Yunzhou.

This grudge would never end in peace.

Besides him, the young man from last night still hadn’t woken up, possibly exhausted from whatever went down or maybe due to the overdose.

Chen Dongqiu got up, picked up the chair beside him, and with a flash of malice in his eyes, slammed it down on the young man’s head.

“Ah! Boss…”

The excruciating pain snapped the young man awake, but he couldn’t even finish his words before another blow from Chen Dongqiu’s chair silenced him. Blood splattered all around.

Again, and again, the chair came down, the young man’s eyes darkened as he took his final breath, full of unwillingness and hatred.

“Clang!”

Chen Dongqiu tossed the chair aside and breathed heavily, feeling an odd sense of relief as he wiped the blood off his forehead.

“Don’t blame me. Blame that damn Xu.”

Chen Dongqiu gritted his teeth as he spoke. Last night’s events couldn’t be allowed to get out, so the young man had to die.

Because in his eyes, no one in this world could be fully trusted.

Even though the young man had been with him for many years and had accomplished a lot for him, if he didn’t die now, Chen Dongqiu would never feel at ease.

“Bring a few men over and deal with a corpse.”

After a brief rest, Chen Dongqiu made a phone call.

He also needed to check if the people at Yipinju had entered the private room last night.

“President Liu, Chairman Gu is waiting for you in his office.”

The receptionist recognized Liu Rushuang immediately. After all, she had been to Gu An’s company several times already regarding the fifty restaurant deal.

“Thank you.”

Liu Rushuang smiled at the receptionist and then followed Xu Shaochen into the elevator.

The three of them—Xu Shaochen, Liu Rushuang, and Mei Liangxin—headed up the elevator. Long Yi and Long Er stayed outside the company.

“Ding—”

When the elevator doors opened, the three of them stepped out.

“President Liu, please come in.”

Gu An’s secretary was already waiting for them at the office door but took a few extra glances at Xu Shaochen and Mei Liangxin.

After all, Liu Rushuang usually visited alone. This was the first time she brought Xu Shaochen and Mei Liangxin along.

However, the secretary didn’t think too much of it, assuming they were employees from Liu Rushuang’s company.

“Chairman, President Liu is here.”

The secretary pushed open the door and announced. Gu An was writing something, his left hand still wrapped in a bandage from being shot by Xu Shaochen.

“Oh, Chairman Xu, I didn’t expect you to come too.”

Gu An looked up and was clearly surprised to see Xu Shaochen. But then, a flash of resentment flickered in his eyes, though he quickly concealed it.

He wouldn’t have dared to speak to Xu Shaochen like this in the past, but now he could, thanks to Jia Ze backing him.

“Chairman Gu, long time no see. You’re as imposing as ever!”

Xu Shaochen caught that fleeting resentment in Gu An’s eyes but didn’t mind it. Instead, he greeted him warmly with a smile.

“As imposing as ever? I’m not sure what you mean, Chairman Xu. If it weren’t for these bandages on my hand, maybe I would be.”

Gu An looked at his bandaged left hand and shook his head, speaking slowly with a face full of sarcasm.

Xu Shaochen narrowed his eyes slightly as he observed Gu An. Was he trying to stir up trouble?

Could it be that now that he was back in Yunzhou, he thought Xu Shaochen couldn’t touch him?

“Chairman Gu, let’s talk about the contract first,” Liu Rushuang interjected, sensing the brewing conflict between the two and quickly changing the subject.

Gu An smiled faintly as he sat down, speaking calmly, “President Liu, I’m afraid this cooperation will have to end here. There’s no need to discuss the contract.”
