Chapter Index

The Jiangzhou branch of the Yunyang Group is located in the industrial park on the east side of the city.

The company isn’t large, consisting of just one office building.

“Second Young Master, the Eldest Young Master is waiting for you in the office.”

Xu Shaochen and Ye Yang walked into the company, and a bodyguard in a suit approached them.

Ye Yang completely ignored him and headed straight to his own office.

“Second Young Master, the Eldest Young Master only wants you to go in.”

At the office door, the bodyguard stopped Xu Shaochen and the Long San and Long Si who were following him tonight.

    “Smack!”

Ye Yang raised his hand and slapped the bodyguard across the face, coldly spitting out the word: “Get out.”

Xu Shaochen is his guest. If he lets someone stop him outside, where’s his dignity?

The bodyguard’s face turned alternately green and white, standing there as anger boiled in him, his tightly clenched fists bulging with veins.

“Second Brother, why are you bickering so much with a servant? You’re just making a fool of yourself.”

At this moment, a steady male voice rang from inside the office.

Hearing this, the bodyguard glanced at Ye Yang and Xu Shaochen, then stepped aside.

Xu Shaochen instructed Long San and Long Si to wait outside, then followed Ye Yang into the office.

The office was large and luxurious, quite fitting for Ye Yang’s flamboyant personality.

Behind the desk, a young man was sitting with his legs crossed, reading a document.

On the surface, the young man seemed no more than twenty-seven or twenty-eight years old. He had his hair parted to one side, a handsome face, and was dressed in a black suit, exuding a maturity and confidence far beyond his years.

This man was none other than Yun Changsheng, the young master of Yunyang Group.

Ye Yang looked at the young man, a flash of jealousy and coldness crossing his eyes, but he quickly smiled and walked over: “Big Brother, what brings you here?”

    “Thud!”

Yun Changsheng casually tossed the document in his hand onto the desk, crossed his hands on the desk, and looked at Ye Yang, saying, “This is your first time handling this kind of matter, so I wasn’t confident. I spoke with Dad and decided to come over and see if you needed any help. No need to be too polite between us brothers.”

“Thank you for your concern, Big Brother, but this is a small matter. There’s no need for you to get involved. I can handle it myself.” Ye Yang declined Yun Changsheng’s offer to help.

Hearing this, Yun Changsheng smiled and pointed at the document he had just been reading: “Is this what you mean by handling it? The proposal is full of flaws. Ah Yang, it’s not that I’m picky, but I seriously doubt your abilities.”

“Big Brother, this is my business. No need for you to worry about it.” Ye Yang’s face darkened as he coldly responded.

Yun Changsheng shook his head and raised his voice: “This is Yunyang Group’s business.”

“Dad said to leave this matter to me. How it’s done is up to me. You don’t have the right to intervene!” Ye Yang’s face was so dark it could drip water, his heart burning with rage.

Yun Changsheng stared at Ye Yang and said firmly, “I’m the young master of Yunyang Group. I have reason to suspect your abilities may cause the company financial loss! You can’t accept a few critical words? Then let me ask you one question: Have you found a suitable buyer yet?”

He and Ye Yang were fundamentally different. He was the young master of the company, and the shareholders only recognized him as the sole young master.

But as long as Ye Yang existed, he was a threat. And with people stirring the pot from below, he targeted Ye Yang at every turn.

“Mr. Yun, if I may interject, I’m the buyer that Ye Shao found.” Xu Shaochen, who had been watching from the sidelines, finally spoke for the first time since entering.

Only then did Yun Changsheng look at Xu Shaochen, frowning as he asked, “What’s the price?”

At first, he thought Xu Shaochen was just one of Ye Yang’s lackeys. He didn’t expect him to be the buyer.

Ye Yang glanced at Xu Shaochen, then looked at Yun Changsheng and said in a deep voice, “Five billion.”

“Are you joking?” Yun Changsheng’s face turned cold when he heard that: “Five billion? It took four and a half billion just to acquire this land. Forget about me, even Father wouldn’t agree to five billion.”

“It doesn’t matter. My agreement is enough.”

Xu Shaochen smiled faintly, his tone calm, as he walked over to the sofa and sat down.

Looking at Xu Shaochen’s arrogance, Ye Yang couldn’t help but twitch the corner of his mouth. Only today did he realize just how much of a junior he had been.

“My friend, what you’re doing with this five billion is tantamount to robbery!” Yun Changsheng said coldly as he looked at Xu Shaochen.

Xu Shaochen shook his head, looked at Yun Changsheng with a casual expression, and said, “No, no, no. Robbing is illegal. What I’m doing isn’t illegal. Understand?”

“Hmph! Your five billion is a pipe dream. From now on, I run this show!” Yun Changsheng snorted coldly, flatly rejecting Xu Shaochen.

Ye Yang looked at Xu Shaochen. Whether Xu Shaochen had a solution or not, he certainly didn’t.

Xu Shaochen crossed his legs, a mocking smile on his face, and spoke slowly: “Young Master Yun, this is Jiangzhou. I suggest you mind your tone and words. I won’t pay more than five billion, and no one else in Jiangzhou will either.”

Initially, Xu Shaochen didn’t want to pressure others out of the competition for this land using his influence.

But now that Yun Changsheng was here, Xu Shaochen had no choice but to do so, prioritizing his own interests.

“What a joke. In that case, my friend, please go ahead.” Yun Changsheng dismissed Xu Shaochen’s words with disdain.

No one in Jiangzhou would buy it for more than five billion? What nonsense. For this land, even with an extra billion, people would fight for it.

    “Have a good day.”

Xu Shaochen stood up, smiled slightly at Yun Changsheng, and then walked towards the office door.

He paused when he reached Ye Yang’s side, patted him on the shoulder, and said, “Young Master Ye, I wish us a successful collaboration in advance.”

“Take care.” Ye Yang’s face twitched. Xu Shaochen’s arrogance was so infuriating it made him want to punch him.

Xu Shaochen left the office leisurely, never once glancing at Yun Changsheng.

“Look at the kind of people you’ve brought in. Ridiculous. Tomorrow, announce that the land will be auctioned. Those interested in participating can submit an intent letter in advance.”

Yun Changsheng stared coldly at Ye Yang as he spoke.

“Since you said you’re in charge of this matter, then handle it entirely. I won’t get in your way. Big Brother, I wish you success.”

Ye Yang shrugged, leaving those words behind as he turned and left with his hands in his pockets.

Now, he could only choose to trust Xu Shaochen. With Yun Changsheng so confident, he might as well let him hit the wall.

    “Outrageous! Absolutely outrageous!”

Watching Ye Yang’s retreating figure, a trace of anger flashed across Yun Changsheng’s face as he pounded his fist heavily on the desk.

Just a bastard child, thinking he has the right to throw a tantrum in front of me. How ridiculous.
