Chapter 34: Private Butler and Bodyguards

Chen Tian struggled to get up from the ground, wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, and left in a disheveled state with his men.

He couldn’t have dreamed that Zhang Liang, this usually easy-going guy, would actually be friends with someone as significant as Xu Shaochen. Otherwise, not even a hundred guts would’ve made him dare tamper with the loan contract.

“Please, pick up the money on the ground.”

Xu Shaochen looked at one of the bodyguards and said.

“Yes, sir.”

The bodyguard respectfully answered and then bent over to pick up the money.

“Sir.”

The bodyguard put the money back into the bag and handed it to Xu Shaochen.

Xu Shaochen took the bag and stuffed it into Zhang Liang’s hands: “This is your wedding gift. I just used it to pelt the trash, hope you don’t mind.”

“Shaochen, this… I can’t accept it…” Zhang Liang immediately tried to refuse. Xu Shaochen had already helped him tremendously today.

Before he could finish, Xu Shaochen interrupted: “Take it. I don’t need this little money. Leave your number so we can stay in touch. I have something else to handle today, so I won’t stick around.”

Zhang Liang was so overcome with emotion that he didn’t know what to say. Seven hundred thousand might be pocket change for Xu Shaochen, but not for him.

After exchanging contact information, Xu Shaochen left with Linda and the others.

“What should I call you four?”

Xu Shaochen turned to the four bodyguards in suits. He guessed that the reason they chose Longguo people as his bodyguards might be for easier communication and to avoid attention.

As for Linda, being a private butler was just one of her duties. Her real task was to serve as the director of the Jiangzhou branch.

“Sir, my name is Long Yi.”

“Long Er.”

“Long San.”

“Long Si.”

Xu Shaochen couldn’t help but want to comment on the names, but at least they were easy to remember. He nodded: “My car can’t fit all of you, so take a taxi and follow behind my car.”

“Yes, sir.”

The four of them remained expressionless, their every word and action exuding a crisp, efficient aura.

“Miss Linda, I want to know which companies in Longguo are under the Xu Corporation.”

After getting in the car, Xu Shaochen started the engine and asked Linda, who was sitting in the front passenger seat.

Linda looked to be about twenty-five or twenty-six, and she didn’t seem to be a full-blooded Caucasian, likely a mixed-race woman. Her refined features fitted the aesthetic sense of local people, but her tall and slender figure surpassed that of most Longguo women. A mixed-race advantage made her stunningly attractive.

“Sir…”

“Use a different title.” Xu Shaochen interrupted her.

“Alright, boss. The Xu Corporation has two branches in Longguo, one in the capital and one in Jiangzhou. Let me talk about the one I’m about to take over in Jiangzhou. It includes three major sectors: Taihe Real Estate, Longteng Catering Company, and Shengshi Entertainment Company…” Linda detailed everything to Xu Shaochen, allowing him to grasp the true global influence of the Xu Corporation for the first time.

Xu Shaochen’s lips twitched as he muttered, slightly annoyed: “So Taihe Real Estate and Longteng Catering are both mine? And yet I spent money buying my own house and eating my own meals.”

“Pffft— Boss, you’re funny, but there’s no other way. Those managers haven’t even earned the privilege of knowing you yet.” Linda chuckled, giving a playful shrug and offering a small compliment.

Linda looked gorgeous when she laughed, especially with the sight of her… overwhelming presence.

Noticing Xu Shaochen’s gaze, Linda coyly rolled her eyes: “Boss, if you keep staring at me, you might just cause a car accident.”

“Alright, I have to admit, they’re really big,” Xu Shaochen shook his head, finally looking away.

Linda didn’t mind Xu Shaochen’s joke. Instead, she even played along a bit: “Boss, if you want, you can try tonight. Maybe it’ll taste quite good too.”

“Nevermind, I’m afraid I’ll suffocate,” Xu Shaochen shook his head.

“Boss, have you ever been with a white beauty before?”

“Can’t you ask something more normal?”

“Okay then, have you ever been with a black beauty?”

As the two chatted, they unknowingly arrived at Nanshan Villa.

“Linda, I just bought this place. You all can stay here!”

Xu Shaochen turned to Linda and said.

Linda shook her head and pointed at a villa next to Xu Shaochen’s: “Boss, let me make a call, securing the one next door should be enough.”

“Alright, let those four stay in the one next door, and you stay in mine. Otherwise, how can you call yourself my private butler?” Xu Shaochen smiled at Linda, greedily inhaling the fragrance of her hair.

Linda blinked with her alluring eyes: “As you wish, my boss. Linda will obey all your arrangements.”

As she said this last sentence, she blinked again, sending a shiver down Xu Shaochen’s spine, making him curse her as a seductress in his mind.

Linda, being the director of the Jiangzhou branch, was the immediate superior of the Taihe Real Estate chairman. With one phone call, everything was settled.

“Boss, starting tomorrow, these four will split into two groups to alternate in protecting your safety. Don’t worry, they’ll just drive behind you and won’t interfere with your daily life.”

After handling the housing situation, Linda pointed at Long Yi and the other three.

“Alright, I appreciate it.” Xu Shaochen smiled and thanked Long Yi and the others. He wasn’t about to take any chances with his safety.

After all, in dramas, those who usually shook off their bodyguards always ended up suffering.

From Linda, he learned that these four didn’t hold Longguo citizenship. They were elites from Xu Corporation’s Security Company, no less competent than special forces soldiers.

For people who were responsible for his safety, even if they were merely paid employees, Xu Shaochen maintained the proper respect.

“Boss, it’s our job.”

The four of them followed Linda’s lead and changed their form of address to him.

“Go and buy three cars, two Audis for you to drive and a BMW for me.” Linda handed the four of them a Bank Card.

Long Yi and the others took the card and left.

Xu Shaochen led Linda into his villa.

“Feel free to pick any room you like!”

Xu Shaochen sat on the sofa and said casually to Linda.

“I’ll go take a bath first.”

Linda smiled slightly and walked towards the bathroom, shedding her clothes piece by piece and casually throwing them on the floor.

Before entering the bathroom, Linda looked back at Xu Shaochen and flashed him a seductive smile while playfully winking.

Xu Shaochen’s eyes were burning with desire, his mouth dry, barely resisting the urge to storm in and take her right there.

After all, he had never ridden a foreign horse before. Even if this one was mixed-blood, it still counted! But that was just a thought.

Judging by the way this woman walked, she was probably still a virgin. Plus, as a senior executive of the Xu Corporation, she certainly wasn’t short on money.

Why else would she act like this? She was just teasing him, there was no way she’d let him have her so easily.
