Chapter 38: Today, I, Han Feng, Will Leave
by xennovel“Hmph, kid, do you even know what a helicopter is? Next time, check online before bragging. How embarrassing. I bet someone like you has never even been on a plane, let alone a helicopter. Utterly ridiculous.”
Feeling Han Feng’s disdain, Xu Shaochen sneered, making no effort to hide his contempt.
“How about we make a bet?” Xu Shaochen said, looking at Han Feng.
Han Feng chuckled in response, “Alright, since you’re so eager to humiliate yourself, why wouldn’t I agree? If the helicopter doesn’t show up, and you lose, then you’ll kneel and apologize to me!”
“And what if I win?” Xu Shaochen asked, seeing how confident Han Feng was. In his heart, he pitied the fool.
“There’s no ‘if.’ It’s impossible for you to win! If you somehow win, I’ll streak around this field!” Han Feng’s voice was firm and resolute as soon as Xu Shaochen finished speaking.
“Good! Young Master Han is impressive, Young Master Han is domineering, beat that poor loser!”
“Exactly, he’s nothing but a broke braggart, talking like he’s serious, how laughable.”
“How can a poor guy like him be worthy of Goddess Xie? He needs a lesson to see the reality.”
The spectators all chimed in, turning Xu Shaochen into a public enemy. After all, how could they not be jealous of a poor guy winning the favor of Goddess Xie? “Shaochen…” Xie Wei worriedly tugged at Xu Shaochen’s sleeve.
Xu Shaochen patted her hand, signaling her not to worry. Then he looked at Han Feng and said, “At most ten minutes, Young Master Han. Why don’t you start getting ready for your streak?”
“Fine, enjoy your arrogance for the next ten minutes. But remember, don’t go back on your words when it’s time to kneel and apologize.” Han Feng retorted sarcastically, his eyes full of ridicule and cold laughter.
In the blink of an eye, ten minutes passed.
“Time’s up! The helicopter isn’t here!”
A voice called out from the crowd.
Everyone looked at Xu Shaochen with schadenfreude. If he really had to kneel and apologize, he would become the school’s laughing stock.
“Well, what are you waiting for? Kneel! Do you know who you’re messing with? You’re just a nobody.” Han Feng smirked, pointing to the ground as he looked at Xu Shaochen.
“Buzz, buzz, buzz…”
Just then, a roaring sound came from the sky. Everyone looked up to see a white helicopter approaching.
“Whoa, it’s a helicopter! The helicopter is really here!”
Everyone widened their eyes in disbelief. Their expressions were as if they’d seen a ghost.
“No way! This is impossible! How could a broke guy like you arrange for a helicopter? It must be passing by! Yes, it has to be!” Han Feng’s face turned pale. Unable to believe it, he gritted his teeth and shouted, trying to convince himself.
“Young Master Han is right, let’s not get too excited. Maybe it really is just passing by.”
“Exactly, it must be. There’s no way a broke guy like him could get a helicopter here.”
Others quickly chimed in, as if grasping a newfound hope.
“Sigh, some people just won’t learn until it’s too late. Since you’re not afraid of pain, I’ll make sure the slap is even harder.” Xu Shaochen sighed as he looked at Han Feng, wondering why he had to be so stubborn.
“The one who won’t learn until it’s too late is you. That helicopter is just passing…”
Before Han Feng could finish his sentence, his pupils suddenly contracted, seeing the helicopter hovering above them.
And then, countless rose petals began to fall. Red and pink petals rained down like a storm of roses.
Everyone was stunned by the scene.
“Well, what do you think? Do you like it?” Xu Shaochen asked, smiling at Xie Wei in his arms.
Xie Wei, overwhelmed with emotion, nodded furiously and then kissed Xu Shaochen deeply.
A few minutes later, the helicopter flew away, leaving only a sea of petals on the ground.
“Young Master Han, do you have anything to say now?” Xu Shaochen asked, smiling cheerfully at Han Feng. Damn, it feels good to be loaded.
Han Feng’s face turned green and white as if he’d been slapped repeatedly. He stood there awkwardly, his knuckles turning pale from the tight fists he was clenching.
Thinking about all the snide remarks he’d just made toward Xu Shaochen, Han Feng felt like an absolute clown. His face was burning hot with humiliation.
He’d been slapped in the face.
And it was a loud slap.
The crowd felt a mix of emotions. After all, they’d been slapped in the face by Xu Shaochen too. The harder they’d mocked him, the more embarrassed they felt now.
Now they understood why Xie Wei stuck with Xu Shaochen. It wasn’t that she was blind; it was that her sight was too good.
But they were all curious now. Who exactly was this Xu Shaochen? Why hadn’t they heard of such an impressive figure before?
“Alright, you’re amazing!” After a long silence, Han Feng squeezed out those words through gritted teeth and started to walk away.
After all, he’d completely lost face today. Staying any longer would only make him more of a laughingstock.
“Wait a minute, Young Master Han, aren’t you forgetting something? Like… the streak?”
Han Feng had just turned around when Xu Shaochen’s teasing voice reached his ears. All eyes were suddenly on Han Feng.
Han Feng turned back to look at Xu Shaochen, his face dark as storm clouds. “Leave some room to maneuver. We may meet again in the future. Don’t push me too far.”
“Sorry, but I’d rather see you streak right now than think about running into you again.” Xu Shaochen said, showing him a harmless smile and gesturing for him to proceed.
The crowd had already pulled out their phones, eager to capture the rare spectacle of Young Master Han streaking. After all, this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
“You…” Han Feng was furious, suppressing the urge to kill Xu Shaochen. Through gritted teeth, he said, “Do you have to ruin everything?”
“The fish will die, but the net might stay intact. So strip, or I’ll help you out.” Xu Shaochen’s smile slowly disappeared, a cold look appearing in his eyes. Did this Han Feng really think he was so easy to bully?
Han Feng stood there, his face alternating between pale and dark. If he really streaked, it would be the ultimate humiliation. How could he keep his reputation in Jiangzhou?
“Today, I, Han Feng, will leave. Let’s see who can stop me!”
He threw that line at Xu Shaochen and turned to leave. So what if he reneged on the bet? Did Xu Shaochen think he could really kill him?
Bang!
“Ah!”
As soon as Han Feng turned around, Xu Shaochen lifted his leg and kicked him fiercely. Han Feng screamed, spitting out a mouthful of blood as he crashed to the ground.
Lying on the ground, Han Feng stared at Xu Shaochen in disbelief. He hadn’t expected Xu Shaochen would actually dare to strike him.
Holding Xie Wei in his arms, Xu Shaochen looked down coldly at Han Feng and said, “Try leaving now.”
