Chapter 404: Real-Life Management Game

Cloud Top Shake. This was the new bar that Tang Siyu mentioned, opened by a friend of his.
“Hanging out with you, I feel a lot safer.”
Huang Wenqiang teased Xu Shaochen while watching the bodyguards, except for Long Yi and Long Er, spread out across the bar.
“Then shouldn’t you pay a security fee?”
Xu Shaochen replied nonchalantly while inspecting the bar’s interior decoration.
The bar was spacious. At first glance, it didn’t give a cramped or crowded feeling. The overall decor was designed like a starry night, making you feel as if you were among the stars.
“Where’s Xiaoying? Didn’t you say she was coming?” Mei Liangxin asked Xu Shaochen.
Xu Shaochen rolled his eyes: “That’s my woman. Why are you so concerned? She’s still in a meeting; she’ll come over later.”
“Nonsense! She’s my sister!” Mei Liangxin snapped, annoyed. The thought of this guy possibly sleeping with his sister made him want to strangle Xu Shaochen.
“Young Master Huang, Young Master Tang.”
A young man in a white shirt walked over, greeting Huang Wenqiang and Tang Siyu. He briefly looked over at Xu Shaochen, Mei Liangxin, and the rest before moving on.
In his mind, Xu Shaochen and the others were probably just lackeys following Huang Wenqiang and Tang Siyu. All he needed to do was tend to their moods.
It was his first day opening, and fearing trouble, he’d specially invited Tang Siyu to attend, hoping he would keep the place in order.
But to his surprise, Tang Siyu had called in Huang Wenqiang, the top young master in Songshan. This was an unexpected boon.
“Yuan Hua, you’re really something, putting on such a big show. Aren’t you afraid of losing money?”
Tang Siyu, hands in his pockets, looked around before slapping the young man’s shoulder and speaking.
Hua smiled, “That’s why I need Young Master Tang’s esteemed guests to support me. I’m saving up for a bride’s price.”
“Quite the crowd for an opening night.”
Xu Shaochen offhandedly remarked.
Yuan Hua frowned. Shouldn’t a lackey know his place? With Huang Wenqiang around, can you speak so freely? Taking a glance at Huang Wenqiang and seeing no response, Yuan Hua forced a smile and said, “It’s the first day, so they’re attracted by the discounts. Who knows what it’ll be like later.”
He now viewed Xu Shaochen differently. Even if Xu Shaochen was Huang Wenqiang’s lackey, he must be an upper-tier one. Otherwise, how would he dare be ‘out of line’?
The largest booth was reserved for you guys.”
Yuan Hua, while gesturing for them to follow, led them to an extra-large booth—almost like a private room.
Moments later, a group of tall, attractive women in revealing outfits stood before them in a line.
“Your job tonight is to entertain these honored guests. Make sure they’re happy, and I’ll give you a raise tomorrow.”
Yuan Hua instructed the women.
“Alright, send them away!”
Huang Wenqiang frowned, his voice cold as he spoke to Yuan Hua.
“This…” Yuan Hua was momentarily stunned, not responding for a good while. He turned to look at Tang Siyu.
Tang Siyu waved his hand and sighed at Yuan Hua, a bit speechless.
Are you brain-dead?
This isn’t a private room. Who is Huang Wenqiang? He’s the son of Songshan’s top official. If someone with an agenda caught him drinking and hugging women in a bar, imagine the scandal it would cause!
Mei Liangxin and the others exchanged glances, smiling. They could clearly feel Yuan Hua’s disdain for them.
Initially, they thought he was just arrogant and self-righteous.
But now, they realized this guy wasn’t just blind but also dumb. They could almost foresee this bar going bankrupt.
Only then did Yuan Hua realize the situation, instantly breaking out in a cold sweat. He waved the women away and anxiously said to Huang Wenqiang, “Young Master Huang, I… I didn’t mean it.”
Seeing Yuan Hua like this, Xu Shaochen shook his head. This guy had no business acumen. He was just playing a real-life management game with his family’s money.
“Enough, enough. Go tend to someone else. We’re self-sufficient.”
Tang Siyu quickly interrupted, essentially saving him. Otherwise, this fool might have said something even more inappropriate.
Yuan Hua was suffocating with frustration tonight. Seeing Xu Shaochen shake his head, a surge of anger flared up inside him.
It was one thing for Huang Wenqiang and Tang Siyu, but who the hell are you, lackey? How dare you judge me?
Of course, he still had some sense and ultimately forced his anger down.
After all, even though he didn’t think much of Xu Shaochen, he still had to consider Huang Wenqiang’s face. He understood that much.
Xu Shaochen could sense the anger in Yuan Hua’s eyes and couldn’t help but smirk, curious how long this guy could hold his temper.
It was almost cute how stupid—or rather, childish—he was.
“Brother Yuan, how come you didn’t tell us your bar was opening? We could’ve come and caused some trouble for you.”
At that moment, a mocking voice sounded.
Everyone turned towards the voice.
Four or five young men strolled in casually, followed by a few bodyguards.
When he saw these people, Yuan Hua’s face immediately darkened, and he rudely said, “Ma Chengwu, today is my bar’s opening. If you’re here to drink, you’re welcome. But if you’re here to cause trouble, then you can get lost.”
“Yuan Hua, are you stupid or what? If we really came to cause trouble, do you think you could just tell us to leave? What, did a donkey kick your brain?”
Ma Chengwu looked at Yuan Hua with disdain, and the people behind him all burst into laughter.
“You…” Yuan Hua was furious but could only look to Tang Siyu for help.
Tang Siyu sighed and said to Ma Chengwu, “Enough’s enough. If you have any issues, sort them out after tonight.”
“Oh, didn’t even notice Young Master Tang and Young Master Huang were here. My bad! I’ll punish myself by downing three drinks.”
Ma Chengwu slightly frowned, but quickly masked it with an apologetic smile. He then poured himself three shots and downed them all in a single gulp.
After setting the glass down, Ma Chengwu spoke, “Young Masters, I’m not ungrateful. But my feud with this guy isn’t new. I hope you both understand.”
Compared to Yuan Hua, Ma Chengwu was clearly more adept at handling people. His three drinks ensured that Huang Wenqiang and Tang Siyu had nothing to say.
Huang Wenqiang remained silent. Recently, things in Songshan had been tense, and his father was under a lot of pressure. He didn’t want to cause trouble and risk giving someone leverage against him.
Huang Wenqiang could remain uninvolved, but Tang Siyu couldn’t. After all, he and Yuan Hua were somewhat acquainted.
“Are you really not going to give me any face?” Tang Siyu asked, looking at Ma Chengwu.
