Chapter Index

Sun Hai and Sun Yaowen’s faces instantly turned extremely grim, turning ashen in embarrassment.

Cao Xiong’s actions not only disgraced himself but also brought shame to the Sun Family.

After all, he was supposed to be their future son-in-law.

    “You…how could you!”

Sun Yuan looked at Cao Xiong in disbelief, tears streaming down her face, feeling as though a knife had been thrust into her heart.

“What’s the big deal? I just teased her a little, it’s not like I harmed her. Cry, cry, cry, that’s all you do!”

Cao Xiong said dismissively, not taking Xu Shaochen seriously at all. He was even more annoyed by Sun Yuan’s tearful demeanor.

“Exactly! My son didn’t do anything bad to her. There’s no need to go overboard!”

    “Release my son immediately!”

Cao Xiong’s parents also spoke up, revealing that Cao Xiong’s misbehavior was clearly indulged by them.

“This is the fine son-in-law you chose for me!” Sun Hai said through gritted teeth as he glared at Sun Yuan, knowing his family’s reputation was utterly ruined tonight.

Sun Yuan just kept crying, not saying a word.

“Cut off his finger for me!” Xu Shaochen commanded coldly.

“You dare! If you so much as harm a hair on my son’s head, I’ll make sure you die without a place to be buried!”

Cao Xiong’s parents angrily shouted, pointing at Xu Shaochen’s nose to threaten him.

Everyone else watched coldly. Anyone who dared to threaten Xu Shaochen would find it hard to leave Jiangzhou alive.

    “Bang!”

Xu Shaochen kicked Cao Xiong’s father away with a swift move, his face expressionless. “You’re threatening me? Then why don’t you give it a try? Long Yi, do it now.”

“No! Don’t!” Cao Xiong, who had been carefree just moments ago, suddenly panicked, his face filled with terror.

    “Stop!”

At that moment, a furious shout came from behind.

A young man strode in with a cold expression, followed by two bodyguards holding two boxes.

This young man was the same one Xu Shaochen encountered earlier that day at the Antique Market.

“Young Master Lan, save me, please!”

Seeing the young man, Cao Xiong cried tears of joy as though he had found a savior.

Lan Yang walked up to Xu Shaochen step by step, “I could overlook what happened earlier today, but tonight is my brother’s wedding. Don’t you think you’ve gone too far?”

“Your brother? No wonder he’s no good. He dared to take advantage of my woman. If he dies, it’s well-deserved.”

Xu Shaochen retorted without holding back.

Lan Yang frowned after hearing this and then said, “She’s just a woman. Tell me how many you want, and I can give them to you. Is this really necessary?”

“How about your mother then? Can you give her to me?” Xu Shaochen asked one word at a time, then looked at Long Yi and shouted, “Are you deaf? I told you to do it!”

Hearing that, Long Yi grabbed the dining knife from the side and slashed at Cao Xiong’s hand.

In an instant, not only one pinkie was severed, but even the ring finger was cut off.

    “Aaaah!”

Cao Xiong’s face turned pale as he screamed in agony, cold sweat pouring from his forehead.

Everyone shivered internally at the sight of the two bloody fingers; Xu Shaochen was still as ruthless as ever.

    “My son! My dear son!”

Cao Xiong’s parents rushed over, wailing with grief, glaring at Xu Shaochen with hatred in their eyes.

“You’re asking for death!” Lan Yang’s blood boiled with rage as he coldly spat out the words towards Xu Shaochen.

Cao Xiong and Lan Yang had been classmates from high school to university, and they were very close, often referring to each other as brothers.

Lan Yang was aware of Cao Xiong’s perverted tendencies but never took them seriously.

To him, it was ridiculous for Xu Shaochen to cut off both of Cao Xiong’s fingers over a woman.

“I’m asking for death? Can you make me die?”

Xu Shaochen sneered at Lan Yang before turning to Sun Yaowen, “Chairman Sun, I suggest you find a different son-in-law. This kind of person is bound to drag down your entire family when disaster strikes.”

With that, Xu Shaochen took the gift box from Long Er and placed it on the table, then left with Mei Liangying without looking back.

Lan Yang’s two bodyguards, knowing they were no match for Xu Shaochen, still tried to block his way.

Long Yi and Long Er instantly drew their handguns and pressed them against the foreheads of Lan Yang’s bodyguards, staring them down coldly.

They were skilled with firearms, but their physical abilities couldn’t compare to their opponents.

    “Let them go.”

Lan Yang said expressionlessly, though he had already made up his mind that this matter wasn’t over.

The two bodyguards reluctantly obeyed, still bitter about the brutal thrashing Xu Shaochen had given them earlier.

“You’re just two dogs. Still haven’t learned your lesson? Scram!”

Xu Shaochen barked at the two bodyguards blocking his path.

“This marriage is off!” Sun Yaowen declared coldly, then looked at Sun Yuan and snorted, “From today on, if you dare step one foot outside, I’ll break your legs.”

Hearing those words, the guests present finally understood the situation.

The Sun Family never wanted this marriage, but Sun Yuan must have thrown a fit and insisted on marrying Cao Xiong. The Sun Family had no choice but to agree; they couldn’t possibly drive her to death.

Sun Yuan remained silent because Cao Xiong had dared to flirt with Mei Liangying in front of her, leaving her heartbroken.

Now, she was filled with regret and guilt. It was all her fault that her family had become the laughingstock tonight.

“Everyone, my apologies for the mess tonight. Please, you’re free to leave.”

Sun Hai sighed as he spoke to the guests.

The guests all stood up to leave, though they couldn’t help but whisper a few comments as they departed.

“How could Chairman Sun, who’s been so wise all his life, make such a mistake? A daughter’s marriage should never be left to her whims.”

“That’s right, what part of Cao Xiong screamed ‘good match’? He’s a disgrace.”

    “After tonight…”

Listening to the scattered whispers, Sun Hai’s face grew even darker, almost as if water could drip from it. He shouted angrily at Cao Xiong’s parents, “Take your precious son and get out! Don’t ever let me see him again!”

    “Smack.”

As he shouted, Sun Hai turned around and slapped Sun Yuan across the face.

“I don’t mind losing face because I’m your father, but to bring shame upon your grandfather at his advanced age, and to drag the entire Sun Family into this disgraceful mess, can you shoulder that responsibility?”

Sun Hai’s wife felt pained seeing her daughter get hit, but she knew better than to speak up at a time like this.

“Take him to the Hospital. See if those two fingers can be reattached.”

Lan Yang said expressionlessly, while his two bodyguards stepped forward to help Cao Xiong up from the floor.

As they left the Hotel, Lan Yang’s face flickered with emotions. He pulled out his Phone and dialed a number.

“Hello, it’s me. Send some Shooters to Jiangzhou. As many as you can find.”
