Chapter Index

Meng Yuan went to the hospital for a simple swelling treatment, then came home with a face like a pig’s head.

“Hey, what are you doing? What are you doing? Open your damn eyes and take a good look. Do you think this is a place you can just walk into?”

“Exactly! Do you know where you are? This is the Meng family, you idiot! Get lost, you filthy beggar!”

To his surprise, Meng Yuan got blocked by two bodyguards right at his villa entrance.

No wonder the two didn’t recognize Meng Yuan. He was dressed in tattered clothes stained with blood, his face covered in gauze and band-aids, entirely swollen like a pig’s head.

Plus, it was late and the streetlights were dim, so it was normal they didn’t recognize him.

“Open your damn eyes wide and look! It’s your master!”

With fury boiling in his belly, Meng Yuan pointed at his face and shouted angrily after being cursed by his own bodyguards.

    “Smack!”

“Oh, hell no! Are you speaking Martian or something? Speak properly, damn it!”

One of the bodyguards slapped Meng Yuan on the head, cursing him out.

“I… I really am your Young Master!”

Meng Yuan endured the pain on his swollen face, forced himself to speak clearly, though his voice was hoarse.

“What did he say? He’s our Young Master? Hahaha… that’s a good one!”

The two bodyguards burst into laughter as if they had just heard a terrific joke.

“Of all people, you chose to impersonate our Young Master? Do you know how far-fetched that is? Apart from the voice and looks, you sure got the bad temper down pat.”

“Exactly! Our Young Master is just as arrogant as you are. You’ve got that down to a tee.”

Seeing this pathetic beggar pretending to be their Young Master, the two bodyguards couldn’t help but feel they just found some new amusement in life.

At this sight, Meng Yuan was furious, his anger burst out: “Damn you all! I really am your Young Master!”

“Spit! Do you think our Young Master would dress like this? Would he look like this? You’ve got quite the nerve, trying to scam us for food. What a joke!”

“Exactly! If you are our Young Master, then I’m his dad!”

The two bodyguards roared with laughter, not taking him seriously at all. This scammer was really pathetic.

“Okay, little punk. Stop spinning tales. If you really are our Young Master, why don’t you show us your ID?”

One of the bodyguards smirked as he looked at Meng Yuan.

“My ID is inside. I’ll go in and grab it.” Meng Yuan’s speech became clearer as he continued.

    “Get lost!”

One of the bodyguards kicked him to the ground: “If we let you in, we’ll lose our jobs. Your ID is inside, huh? Then give us a call with your phone.”

“Exactly. If you’re really our Young Master, then calling your dad’s phone shouldn’t be a problem.”

“My phone’s broken!” Meng Yuan’s phone had been smashed during the earlier fight.

    “Spit! Get lost!”

The two bodyguards spat on Meng Yuan’s face, showing no mercy.

    “What’s going on here!”

At that moment, a deep male voice rang out. Meng Chuan came out to check after hearing the noise.

“Boss, this filthy beggar here is pretending to be the Young Master. Isn’t that hilarious?”

The two bodyguards saw Meng Chuan and quickly ran over to him, laughing as they pointed at Meng Yuan.

“Is that so? Someone in Rongyang City actually dares to pull a stunt like this at my house?”

Meng Chuan was a bit surprised as the Meng family held a respected position in Rongyang City. It was bold indeed for someone to try to scam them at their own home.

    “Dad, it’s me!”

Seeing Meng Chuan, Meng Yuan felt as if he had seen his savior and rushed over.

    “Damn it!”

Seeing a beggar covered in ragged clothes and swollen face lunging at him, Meng Chuan kicked out reflexively.

    “Ah!”

Meng Yuan cried out in pain as he was kicked to the ground.

Just then, as he fell under the streetlight, his face became clearly visible.

This was indeed his own son, and Meng Chuan immediately recognized him. His expression changed drastically as he hurried to help him up.

    “Son, are you okay? Son!”

    Seeing this scene.

The two bodyguards’ smiles froze instantly. Their faces turned pale, and beads of sweat appeared on their foreheads as their legs began to tremble uncontrollably.

However, knowing it was him somehow made them even more excited.

They had always wanted to hit him, and now they had fulfilled that dream.

    “Waaah~”

Meng Yuan burst into tears. His heart was bitter, and he was filled with grievance.

In all his years, he had never had a night as awful as this one.

The dinner with the woman didn’t happen, and instead, he got beaten up.

When he got home, he was humiliated, spat on, and slapped by his own bodyguards, then finished off with a kick from his father.

This night felt more thrilling than a rollercoaster ride. It was exhausting.

Meng Yuan stood up and started walking toward the two bodyguards in steady steps.

    “Yo… Young Master.”

The smiles on the two bodyguards’ faces looked worse than tears as an army of curses ran through their minds. How were they supposed to recognize him in such a state?

    “Smack!”

Meng Yuan slapped each of the bodyguards hard, then proceeded to punch and kick them violently.

“Damn you! How dare you spit on me! Take that!”

“Damn it! And you, you’re my dad, huh? I’ll beat you to death!”

“For hitting me, for cursing me, I’ll beat the crap out of you, you dogs!”

After venting his anger, Meng Yuan followed Meng Chuan into the living room, leaving the two bruised bodyguards outside to continue their watch.

The two bodyguards looked at each other and then grinned.

    It was still worth it.

“What the hell happened? How did you end up like this?”

Meng Chuan frowned as he looked at Meng Yuan. This was clearly painful.

“I got beaten up by that bitch Liu Rushuang’s bodyguards.” Meng Yuan gritted his teeth as he spoke.

Meng Chuan’s expression darkened: “Didn’t I tell you not to mess with her?”

“Dad, I failed, didn’t I? Please help me get revenge! I won’t let this slide!”

Meng Yuan said to Meng Chuan, his face full of grievance.

Meng Chuan’s expression turned even more grim as he said: “You’re still my son, after all. Beating you up like this is too much. I’ll go personally tomorrow and demand an explanation from her.”

“Dad, I’ll go with you. If that woman tries to lie, the injuries on my face will be the best evidence.”

Meng Yuan gritted his teeth as he spoke, filled with hatred toward Liu Rushuang.

Meng Chuan frowned. He initially wanted to say that Meng Yuan should just stay home and not embarrass himself looking like this.

But then he realized it would hurt to say something like that to his son. So, he swallowed his words.
