Chapter 498: A New Plan

“You’re not drunk?”

Lin Wanxue, wrapped in a towel, walked out of the bathroom and looked at Xu Shaochen with some surprise, saying,

Xu Shaochen sneered, “If I were drunk, how could I conquer the number one socialite of Hong Kong soon after?”

“You… You’re going back on your word!” Lin Wanxue instantly became furious, sitting up and glaring coldly at Xu Shaochen.

For Lin Kai’s sake, she had given up all dignity tonight.

If Xu Shaochen reneged, she would rather die with him here.

“I have a surprise for you. You’ve probably been tricked by your dear brother. He doesn’t owe me anything.”

Xu Shaochen slid his hand across her sweaty face, smirking at her.

“You bastards! Do you even know how to drive? You scared the hell out of me! Do you know who I am?!”

Zheng Yun pointed at the car and cursed, as if venting all of his pent-up anger.

The car door opened, and four burly men with baseball bats and wearing masks stepped out.

“What… What do you want to do?”

Seeing this scene, Zheng Yun instantly sobered up halfway, instinctively taking a step back.

“Young Master Kai sent us to teach you a lesson. Be more careful about your attitude next time.”

With that said, the four men brandished their baseball bats before charging at Zheng Yun, beating him mercilessly.

“Ah! Damn you, Lin Kai! I’ll kill you one day!”

“Ah! Stop it! Stop it! Please… Let me go…”

After two full minutes of this, the four men exchanged glances, then dropped their bats and left in the car.

Only then did Zheng Yun’s lackeys rush forward to help him up.

“Young Master Zheng, are you alright? I… I already called an ambulance.”

“Damn you, Lin Kai! I will have my revenge! I swear I will kill you!”

Zheng Yun lay on the ground, his eyes filled with venomous hatred as he repeated the same words over and over. After a while, he roared, “Phone! Give me my phone!”

One of the young men quickly picked up the phone that had fallen to the ground, nervously handing it to him.

Zheng Yun dialed a number and screamed hysterically, “Find Lin Kai! Smash him to death!”

“Bang!”

After shouting, he angrily threw the phone to the ground.

“Lin Kai! I will make you pay!”
