The key members of the Tan Family, including Tan Siming, were gathered here. Two finalized contracts were placed on the table.

Tan Siming shook his head, “No need, let’s wait a bit longer. It’s only been a little over twenty minutes. We’ll give him ten more minutes, and if he still isn’t here, then we’ll call.”

“Boss, Mr. Xu has arrived.”

At that moment, one of the bodyguards entered to report.

Tan Siming led the group out of the living room.

“Miss Liu, as long as those 50% of the shares remain in your hands, our Tan Family can rest easy. If you sell them off immediately after acquiring them, who knows what kind of trouble it might bring?”

While Tan Siming stayed quiet, Tan Ling responded to Liu Rushuang’s concerns.

After all, if Xu Shaochen controlled 50% of the shares, he would provide a strong backing for the Tan Family.

Once the special medicine hit the market, it was sure to attract a lot of envious parties. With Xu Shaochen involved, those people would dare not act recklessly.

But if Xu Shaochen sold those shares right after acquiring them, who would then protect the Tan Family?

The next steps were simple: just sign and stamp the documents. Only when the company’s seal was affixed would the contract officially take effect.

Tan Siming extended his hand to Xu Shaochen.

“Director Tan, here’s to a successful collaboration.”

Xu Shaochen shook his hand warmly.

“Clap clap clap—”

The other members of the Tan Family broke into applause, finally feeling like they could relax after days of tense negotiations. Smiles spread across their faces.

Watching this scene, Tan Chen’s eyes flashed with a hint of mockery. Tonight, he planned to steal the formula and samples for the special medicine and destroy all experiment notes.

With the strength of the Lan Family, they could easily establish a factory and mass-produce the medicine for the market once they had the formula and samples, cornering the entire market.

So, what if they signed the contract? Holding 50% of the shares would be no different than holding a worthless piece of paper for Xu Shaochen.

“Since Director Tan has extended such a warm invitation, it would be rude of me to refuse. We’ll gladly accept.”

Xu Shaochen nodded in agreement.

Then, Tan Siming turned to Tan Ling and said, “Lingling, your boyfriend Liu Chao is still upset, right? Give him a call and invite him to join us for lunch.”

“Yes, Dad, I’ll call him in a bit.”

Tan Ling nodded. She understood that this was her father’s way of honoring and pleasing Xu Shaochen. After all, her father didn’t think highly of Liu Chao. It was only after learning Liu Chao was Xu Shaochen’s friend that his attitude changed.

Because if you reach a certain status, you don’t need to do anything or even say a word to influence the lives of those around you.

Just like Liu Chao.
