Chapter 57: Your Pride or Your Woman

Xu Shaochen had no idea that before he could cause trouble for Huang Tao, Huang Tao was already preparing to strike at him again.

He also didn’t know that today, he had taken a spot that Li Yang had his eye on. Otherwise, he would have laughed until he made a pig-like sound.

At this moment, he was having a meal with Liu Rushuang.

The massive private room had only the two of them.

“Let me toast to you, Sister Rushuang, for your help today.” Xu Shaochen raised his glass and looked at Liu Rushuang as he spoke.

Liu Rushuang also raised her glass: “No need, you helped me too. Let’s just say we each got what we needed.”

After drinking the wine, two blushes colored Liu Rushuang’s fair face, making her even more charming.

Truly, it wasn’t the wine that made one drunk; people got drunk on their own.

However, Xu Shaochen wasn’t looking at her face at that moment.

“What are you staring at? Your eyes are going to fall out if you keep that up.” Liu Rushuang playfully scolded Xu Shaochen after setting down her glass.

Still, she felt a bit proud internally. It seems my charm isn’t too shabby after all. At least, I’ve mesmerized this guy.

Xu Shaochen snapped out of it and looked at Liu Rushuang with a mischievous glint in his eyes: “Sister Rushuang, your shirt button is loose.”

Liu Rushuang was startled. She looked down and found that the third button of her white blouse had popped open without her knowing.

“Sister Rushuang, let me button that up for you.”

Xu Shaochen said playfully as he stood up and reached toward Liu Rushuang’s neckline.

“Ah! You jerk.”

Liu Rushuang yelped in surprise, her face turning so red it could drip blood. She instinctively reached out to push Xu Shaochen away.

Xu Shaochen simply went along with the motion, causing them both to fall, with Liu Rushuang now pinned under him. Their faces were almost touching.

“Sister Rushuang, don’t move. If you do, we could both end up falling to the floor.”

Staring at Liu Rushuang’s close-up face, Xu Shaochen couldn’t help but feel an urge to bite those plump lips of hers.

“Bastard, you’re crushing me. Get off.”

Liu Rushuang struggled to turn her head away, not daring to meet Xu Shaochen’s gaze. Right now, she felt a mixture of panic and confusion.

She had been confessed to before, but it was her first time being this close to a man. Her entire mind was in disarray.

“Sister Rushuang, how about being my girlfriend?”

Xu Shaochen whispered softly, his tone suddenly filled with affection. The standard performance of a scoundrel showed vividly.

“What nonsense are you talking about? We haven’t known each other for long. Get off me; stop fooling around.”

Liu Rushuang blushed and pushed at Xu Shaochen, caught off guard by his sudden confession, leaving her unsure of how to respond.

It’s not as though she had no feelings at all for Xu Shaochen.

After all, handsome men always have an advantage. Plus, Xu Shaochen was also a genuine rich and young heartthrob.

“If you don’t agree, I won’t get up.”

When chasing a woman, you can’t afford to worry about pride. It’s a choice between pride and the woman–it all depends on your decision.

“You…are you seriously being shameless?” Liu Rushuang was both embarrassed and angry, not expecting Xu Shaochen to be so brazen.

Xu Shaochen nodded earnestly: “Yes, I’m being shameless. If I don’t use a little bit of shamelessness, then a great woman like you might have already been snatched away.”

Here, he threw in a small flattery, and openly admitting to being shameless made him appear even more unruffled.

“Hurry and get off me. I…I promise you, okay?” Liu Rushuang said reluctantly, but it was merely a ruse to trick Xu Shaochen into getting off her.

However, the next second, her eyes widened in shock and disbelief.

Because her lips were now sealed by Xu Shaochen’s.

“Mmm, mmm, mmm…”

When she finally reacted, she used all her strength to try and push Xu Shaochen away, but it was in vain.

In the end, she resigned herself. She might as well let Xu Shaochen kiss her until he was satisfied since she had no choice.

After a while, their lips parted.

“To prevent you from going back on your word, I’m stamping a seal first,” Xu Shaochen said with a grin.

Liu Rushuang was beside herself with shame and anger, biting her lip as she said, “You bastard, now that you’ve kissed me, will you get up off me?”

“Of course. Sister Rushuang, you’re truly beautiful.”

After speaking, Xu Shaochen got up from on top of Liu Rushuang, his face beaming with a radiant smile.

“I don’t feel like eating anymore. Take me home.”

After buttoning up her shirt, Liu Rushuang glared at Xu Shaochen, but deep down, she was more flustered than anything.

“At your command, my lady.”

“Stop it. Who…who said I’m your lady?” Liu Rushuang’s ears turned red as she spoke, stammering slightly.

Xu Shaochen pulled Liu Rushuang into a hug: “Sister Rushuang, you just agreed to be my girlfriend. You can’t go back on your word now.”

“That…that doesn’t mean you can call me your lady. Just call me Sis then!” Liu Rushuang said, her face still flushed. Although she agreed to Xu Shaochen’s request, she didn’t truly intend to become his girlfriend.

After all, they hadn’t known each other for long, and Xu Shaochen was also involved with her older sister–that was something she couldn’t reconcile with.

Naturally, Xu Shaochen was aware of this as well. But it didn’t matter; all he wanted was the title of boyfriend for now.

Once he claimed that title, he’d already be in an undefeatable position. Sooner or later, Liu Rushuang would be his.

He felt like he was moving further and further down the road of juggling multiple relationships, with no turning back.

Half an hour later, they arrived at Liu Rushuang’s apartment complex.

“I’m here. You can go back now!”

After speaking, Liu Rushuang tried to open the car door to get out, only to find it locked. She glared at Xu Shaochen: “What are you up to?”

“Kiss me.” Xu Shaochen said.

“You…” Liu Rushuang was exasperated, but ultimately, she still shyly kissed Xu Shaochen on the cheek. “Is that okay now? Open the door.”

“Goodnight, Sister Rushuang.”

Xu Shaochen smiled as he unlocked the car door. Such intimate acts create a subtle influence over time; after a while, Liu Rushuang would start to see them as normal.

“Goodnight, my foot! Drive safely.”

Liu Rushuang retorted, then walked away without looking back in her high heels.

Xu Shaochen watched Liu Rushuang’s figure disappear into the distance. He then played some music and drove back toward School.

After all, he hadn’t forgotten that he had a dorm room party to attend tonight.

He needed to go back to the dorm to change into some regular clothes; otherwise, Zhou Fan and the others wouldn’t let him off the hook.

But he wasn’t too worried.

Even in darkness, a handsome guy like him would still shine like a firefly. Even without wearing a branded suit, some discount market clothes would still highlight his good looks.

He parked the car outside of School and left it under the watch of Long San and Long Si, then entered School alone.

The four of them alternated shifts following him: yesterday it was Long Yi and Long Er, and today it was Long San and Long Si.
