Chen Ju hung up, making it clear that he had no more to say.

After breakfast, Linda, Song Xinran, Mei Liangying, Zhou Sixian, and Xie Wei all left for work.

To note, Zhou Sixian and Xie Wei were doing summer jobs under Linda to gain some work experience for the future.

On the way to the zoo, Xu Shaochen asked Li Jianzhang for the Phone number of Qinghua County’s top official and called him.

“Hello, this is Xie Lin.”

Upon answering, a steady male voice came through the Phone.

“Hello, Secretary Xie. This is Xu Shaochen. Sorry to bother you with a sudden call. I was hoping you could join me for dinner tonight if you’re free.”

Xu Shaochen’s tone was calm and polite.

“Xu Shaochen? The Xu Shaochen… How did you get this number?”

Xie Lin was irritated. Who had leaked his private number?

Because of the gold mine matter, he’d been bombarded with dinner invitations lately, which was driving him nuts.

“Secretary Xie, how many people named Xu Shaochen do you think are in Jiangzhou? It’s me, Xu Shaochen of Chen Yu Group, also the one from Lotus Charity.”

Xu Shaochen kept his composure despite Xie Lin’s initial attitude. After all, he had done his homework on Xie Lin’s character.

After Xu Shaochen finished speaking, he hung up the Phone.

“Even while spending time with us, you’re still making deals? How can you be so busy?”

Du Ruyan frowned unhappily. Xu Shaochen hadn’t spent time with them in a long while.

Xu Shaochen raised his hands in surrender: “Alright, alright. I admit my fault. From now until tonight, I’ll be with you all, no interruptions. Happy?”

A smile crept onto Du Ruyan’s face at his answer.

She was afraid he’d cut their zoo trip short just when they’re having fun, which would completely ruin the day.

Ten minutes later, they arrived at the zoo.

“You can stay outside.”

Xu Shaochen turned to Long Yi and instructed.

Having bodyguards shadowing them through the zoo would not only make others uncomfortable but also spoil the fun for them too.

“Understood, Boss.”

Long Yi nodded back obediently.

“Sister Qingyu, wait here. I’ll go buy the tickets.”

Xu Shaochen addressed the group of women before heading off to stand in the ticket line.
