Chapter 71: The Formation of Iron-Linked Ships
by xennovel“To your room?”
Xu Shaochen wrapped his arms around Liu Rushuang, feeling the smooth touch of her waist.
“You can’t even wait a little? Do you still want my sister or not?”
Liu Rushuang pouted playfully and rolled her eyes before pushing Xu Shaochen away. She then sat lightly on the sofa to watch TV.
Xu Shaochen closed his eyes and took a deep breath, savoring the faint fragrance in the air. He then walked into Liu Rushuang’s room.
“What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be doing something shameless with my sister?”
Seeing Xu Shaochen enter, Liu Rushuang felt an inexplicable sense of relief but still spoke with a mocking tone.
“Rushuang, that’s not fair. What’s wrong with man and woman falling in love? How did it become something indecent in your eyes?”
Xu Shaochen closed the door as he examined Liu Rushuang’s room.
Liu Rushuang’s room was decorated with fresh colors. There were few pieces of furniture, but everything was neatly arranged. Two large stuffed dolls sat on the pillow, reflecting her girl-like heart.
“Heh, some people’s thoughts are so dirty that they don’t even realize it themselves. You just want to have it both ways, don’t you?” Liu Rushuang said with a sarcastic smile and snorted in disdain.
Xu Shaochen didn’t deny it and chuckled, saying, “Rushuang, do you know why I want to have it both ways?”
“Why?” Liu Rushuang asked indifferently. Isn’t it just because you’re lecherous and want both sisters?
“Ah.” Xu Shaochen sighed with a look of deep concern and said sincerely, “That’s because I have two legs. Of course, I need to step on two boats to maintain my balance. If I only step on one boat, it might capsize. It’s best to step on multiple boats, eventually forming a formation of iron-linked ships.”
“Go to hell! Aren’t you worried about kidney failure?” Liu Rushuang snapped angrily, throwing a stuffed doll at him.
She had never met anyone so shameless. It’s clear he’s just lustful, yet he speaks so righteously and even has a whole set of excuses prepared.
“Ah! So soft.”
Xu Shaochen caught the doll and then rolled onto Liu Rushuang’s bed, enjoying himself.
“You bastard! Get up!”
Seeing her neatly made bed being messed up by Xu Shaochen, Liu Rushuang gritted her teeth and walked over to try to pull him up.
More importantly, how could someone just lie on a girl’s bed so casually?
“Ah!”
But how could she possibly lift Xu Shaochen with her strength? With a cry, she was instead pulled onto the bed by him.
“Let go! What are you trying to do?”
Lying on top of Xu Shaochen, Liu Rushuang’s face turned red, and her heartbeat quickened, starting to struggle.
“Don’t move. Just hold me for a while. I promise I won’t do anything.”
Xu Shaochen suddenly looked into Liu Rushuang’s eyes and spoke softly, his tenderness evident. Men like him can change their faces faster than the weather when dealing with women.
Under Xu Shaochen’s gaze, softer than water, Liu Rushuang stopped struggling and quietly nestled in his arms.
The two of them could clearly hear each other’s heartbeats.
The atmosphere in the room suddenly became warm.
However, this warmth was destined not to last long…
“Ah! Rushuang, I was wrong! Let go, please let go!”
Xu Shaochen cried out, seeing Liu Rushuang biting his arm. He felt like she was going to tear the flesh off.
“You scoundrel, so this is what you mean by not doing anything.”
Liu Rushuang let go, her face flushed as she gritted her teeth and asked, “Where were your hands? This is you not doing anything? What would happen if you did?”
She couldn’t believe she was immersed in such a tender moment. If she hadn’t noticed something was wrong, she would’ve lost everything to him.
“Hiss—Rushuang, you’re too vicious. It’s bleeding.” Xu Shaochen took a deep breath, looking at the bite marks on his arm.
Seeing the marks, Liu Rushuang felt a little worried but still said stubbornly, “It’s your fault for being handsy. If there’s a next time, it won’t end well for you.”
Xu Shaochen glanced at Liu Rushuang, then silently got up and left.
“Hey! Where are you going?”
Liu Rushuang panicked as soon as she saw this. Could he really be angry? After all, she did bite him pretty hard.
“To get a rabies shot. Otherwise, it would be bad if I caught rabies.”
Xu Shaochen turned back and replied seriously.
“Get lost!”
Liu Rushuang yelled, her face turning even redder. “You’re the dog, not me!” she thought.
“By the way, when is the interview scheduled?” Xu Shaochen was just about to leave the room when he suddenly stopped.
“Tomorrow at nine in the morning,” Liu Rushuang replied irritably.
“You’ll come with me.”
After saying that, Xu Shaochen exited the room without giving Liu Rushuang a chance to refuse.
Watching the door close, a faint smile appeared on Liu Rushuang’s face. She whispered, “He really is a jerk.”
After cursing him, Liu Rushuang felt much better. Humming a cheerful tune, she continued reviewing resumes.
“What were you doing? I could hear the two of you from outside.”
Liu Ruxu looked at Xu Shaochen and frowned. Of course, it wasn’t the kind of noise she was hoping to hear.
“We were discussing the concept of iron-linked ships. I’m leaving now.”
Xu Shaochen casually tossed out a sentence, glanced at Liu Ruxu’s curvy figure, and prepared to leave.
“Aren’t you staying for dinner?”
Liu Ruxu quickly stood up to see him off.
“I’m afraid Rushuang might come out and cook me.”
Xu Shaochen pointed to the bite mark on his arm and said, looking at Liu Ruxu.
“Hiss—”
Liu Ruxu gasped, looking at Xu Shaochen suspiciously. “That girl bit so hard. What did you do to her?”
“Do what? I would love to, but she won’t let me.”
Xu Shaochen sighed, pinched Liu Ruxu’s smooth cheek, and then left.
Watching Xu Shaochen’s back, Liu Ruxu touched the spot on her face where he had just pinched. Then she closed the door and entered Liu Rushuang’s room.
“Sis, why are you here?”
Seeing Liu Ruxu, Liu Rushuang’s eyes slightly evaded her gaze. Because of Xu Shaochen, she felt a bit awkward facing her sister.
“What are you thinking? And don’t tell me you don’t have feelings for him.”
Liu Ruxu asked straightforwardly. She knew her sister well. If Liu Rushuang had no feelings for Xu Shaochen, she wouldn’t pay him any mind.
“What do you mean, what am I thinking? Sis, let’s go shopping. I’ll treat you to hot pot.”
Liu Rushuang tried to change the subject, running over to Liu Ruxu and hugging her arm coquettishly.
Liu Ruxu didn’t say anything, just watched her with a half-smile.
After a long while, Liu Rushuang finally surrendered. Sighing, she said, “Alright, Sis, stop pushing me. Let’s just let things go naturally. It’s fine this way.”
“Alright, then. You said it—let’s go. Treat me to hot pot.” Liu Ruxu said with a smile.
Liu Rushuang: “…”
