Chapter 75: Then Let It Die

4:00 PM.

Xie Yaohua exited the company building with two bodyguards.

He frowned as he looked at the Rolls-Royce parked at the entrance. The car was here, but where was A’Bao?

“Clang!”

At that moment, a person fell from the upper floor, landing directly on his car. Blood spurted a meter away.

“Ahhh! Someone died! Someone jumped!”

Nearby pedestrians were startled by the scene, and screams erupted everywhere.

“Boss, it’s A’Bao.”

One of the bodyguards behind Xie Yaohua said.

Indeed, the corpse flattened on top of the car was A’Bao.

Half an hour later, he arrived at the Xu Corporation building.

After identifying himself, he encountered no resistance and took the elevator up to the Chairman’s office.

“Miss Linda.”

Seeing Linda outside the office, Xie Yaohua immediately lowered his posture and hurriedly greeted her.

“Go in. The boss is waiting for you inside.”

Linda looked at Xie Yaohua with a hint of pity. Offending the boss yet still expecting support from Xu Corporation was no different from daydreaming.

But worse was the fact that this guy seemingly still didn’t realize who he had offended.

Xie Yaohua originally wanted to inquire about Xu Shaochen but swallowed his words after hearing this: “Thank you, Miss Linda.”

With those words, Xie Yaohua took a deep breath, pushed the door open, and walked into the office.

As he stepped inside,

he saw someone sitting in the boss’s chair behind the desk, with his back to him. He could only see the back of the man’s head.

“Mr. Xu, hello. I am Xie Yaohua, Chairman of Yaohua Group. I apologize for the sudden visit. I hope you can understand.”

Xie Yaohua placed both hands over his lower abdomen, bowing politely while addressing Xu Shaochen’s back.

“You want the Xu Corporation to invest in Yaohua Group?” Xu Shaochen spoke without turning around, slightly swirling the wine glass in his hand, his eyes gleaming with amusement.

Xie Yaohua frowned. This voice sounded familiar, but he couldn’t quite place where he’d heard it before.

He shook off the thought and respectfully replied, “Yes, Mr. Xu. Our Yaohua Group has collaborated with your Taihe Real Estate multiple times. Our potential and credibility are absolutely impeccable.”

“If I refuse, what will happen to Yaohua Group?” Xu Shaochen took a small sip of the wine, savoring the taste. He’d heard it was imported by Linda.

Xie Yaohua took a deep breath upon hearing this: “If you refuse, Yaohua Group will be doomed with no place to bury its remains.”

“In that case, let it die!”

As soon as he finished, Xu Shaochen spun the chair around, revealing a mocking smile as he spoke to Xie Yaohua.

“It’s you! How could it be you?!”

The moment Xie Yaohua saw Xu Shaochen, his eyes opened wide in shock. He stumbled back several steps.

How could this be! How could he be the young chairman of Xu Corporation! Xie Yaohua’s face turned pale. His mind was in chaos, his ears buzzing, and his heart filled with panic and fear.

“Heh, why can’t it be me?” Xu Shaochen chuckled lightly.

Staring at Xu Shaochen, cold sweat poured down Xie Yaohua’s body, soaking his back completely. Standing still, he wanted to say something, but his throat was dry, unable to utter a word.

“Thud!”

In the next moment, his legs buckled, and he knelt on the ground, crawling towards Xu Shaochen, continuously kowtowing and begging for mercy.

“Mr. Xu, please. Please spare me. I was blind and ignorant. I didn’t recognize Mt. Tai. Please, Mr. Xu, have mercy and spare my life!”

Recalling A’Bao’s fate filled him with endless fear. If Xu Shaochen wanted him dead, it would be as easy as crushing an ant.

“Why? Don’t you want me to help Yaohua Group anymore?”

Xu Shaochen looked down at him, his face filled with open contempt.

“No, no! Mr. Xu, please. Spare me. I won’t dare again. Never again!”

How could Xie Yaohua still dare to hope for Xu Shaochen’s help in saving Yaohua Group now? His only wish was for Xu Shaochen not to push him further into despair.

“No, I must help. Help in hastening the demise of your Yaohua Group.”

Xu Shaochen spoke each word slowly, staring at Xie Yaohua.

“No, no, Mr. Xu! Please don’t. Please spare me. Spare Yaohua! I was wrong. I truly know I was wrong.”

Upon hearing this, Xie Yaohua panicked. If Xu Shaochen made a move, the already faltering Yaohua Group would soon collapse entirely.

Yaohua Group was the culmination of his life’s work. If it died in his hands, that would be more painful than death itself.

Once Yaohua Group was gone, he would fall from being the high-flying chairman into a debt-ridden ordinary man.

He had gotten used to the life of luxury. How could he endure returning to a life of uncertainty?

“Bang!”

Xu Shaochen smashed the wine glass on his head. The glass instantly shattered. As shards fell, he disdainfully spoke, “Take a good look in the mirror before you speak. You’re trying to threaten me? Sending someone to hit me with a car? Since you’re so eager to die, I’ll fulfill your wish.”

“No, no, Mr. Xu! It was all my fault for not seeing clearly. Please, Mr. Xu, spare me like a fart and let me go.”

Crying bitterly, Xie Yaohua hugged Xu Shaochen’s leg, pleading desperately. The blood from the cut on his forehead caused by the broken glass dripped down, but he ignored it.

“Scram!”

Xu Shaochen kicked him away and walked out of the office without looking back.

“If you won’t let me off, then we all die together!”

Filled with venom, Xie Yaohua glared at Xu Shaochen’s retreating figure, gritting his teeth. He picked up a shard of glass and charged at Xu Shaochen.

“Bang!”

Xu Shaochen instantly turned around and delivered a powerful sidekick.

“Ah! Pfft—”

Xie Yaohua screamed as blood spurted from his mouth, his entire body flying back and slamming into the ground.

“You clueless fool. You think a worthless creature like you can take me down? How laughable.”

Xu Shaochen’s eyes filled with mockery as he coldly left the office without looking back.

Lying on the ground, Xie Yaohua clutched his aching stomach, helplessness and remorse overwhelming him.

He knew.

It was all over.

Yaohua Group was finished. And so was he.
