Chapter 758: A Shocked Xiao Huang

Evening.

The Meilan clubhouse was as bustling as ever right on schedule for opening.

Moreover because Meilan had sent out invitations saying the last boxing match would be held tonight even more people came than usual.

But no one noticed that inside the Meilan clubhouse there were many unfamiliar faces among the guests and in the surrounding shops most of the staff had been replaced.

On the surface everything seemed no different from usual.

Xiao Huang’s Car stopped at the entrance.

The driver got out first to open the Car door. Xiao Huang stepped out adjusting his collar and unconsciously glanced around.

Suddenly he frowned slightly feeling something seemed off but couldn’t quite put his finger on it.

“Young Master Xiao good evening. I knew you’d definitely show up tonight.”

“Young Master Xiao why don’t we go together?”

“Hello Young Master Xiao.”

People coming and going greeted Xiao Huang smiling but inwardly disdainful.

With such a big incident in his family he still had the mood to watch a boxing match. Truly a good-for-nothing wastrel.

Xu Shaochen said to Tang Silin while peeling an apple.

Tang Silin smiled faintly: “Is there any need to appease them? Any excuse will do. They all think Meilan’s owner has deep connections so they won’t dare make trouble.”

“It’s not just thinking the background of Meilan really is very deep.” Xu Shaochen corrected.

“So in Young Master Xu’s eyes a homeless woman also counts as having deep connections?” Tang Silin looked at Xu Shaochen with an ambiguous smile.

Xu Shaochen smiled cut the peeled apple in half and handed half to Tang Silin: “I’ve thought about it. The Tang Family was wiped out by Xiao Huang so you definitely don’t have any backing but that girlfriend of yours might be a different story?”

This was the only answer Xu Shaochen could think of.

Tang Silin didn’t have the background to support Meilan’s operations so someone must be helping her. That person was probably her lesbian partner.

Tang Silin raised an eyebrow neither confirming nor denying which meant Xu Shaochen was right.

“Miss Tang why don’t you introduce me to that girlfriend of yours?”

Xu Shaochen took a bite of the apple and put the fruit knife back in the fruit bowl.

“Since Young Master Xu has guessed she has deep connections do you think I’d let you meet her? It wouldn’t be good for her reputation if word got out.”

Tang Silin said expressionlessly. Li Qian Ya was the third young miss of the Li family’s main line. Being in a lesbian relationship would affect her reputation and the Li family’s name.

Xu Shaochen shrugged then asked curiously: “I’m quite curious how do you two… you know when you’re together?”

“I’m familiar with Young Master Xu’s romantic history. If you’re really curious have those women of yours perform for you. Why ask me?”

Tang Silin’s expression darkened feeling Xu Shaochen’s question had a hint of humiliation.

While they were verbally sparring Xiao Huang had already entered a private room in the underground boxing arena.

“Young Master Xiao please come with me. Our boss would like to see you.”

Xie Tianyu entered the room and said respectfully to Xiao Huang.

“Oh?”

Xiao Huang was stunned somewhat incredulous. Everyone knew the boss behind Meilan was very mysterious.

He hadn’t expected this boss would want to see him now.

Xiao Huang nodded and very cooperatively raised his hands.

The two guards at the door began to search him. Only after confirming he wasn’t hiding any weapons did they step back to their positions.

With that Xie Tianyu turned and left.

Xiao Huang stood at the door originally intending to push it open and go in but in the end he first reached out and knocked.

His gaze turned to that woman.

Unfortunately from his angle he could only see her side profile. Her chestnut-colored slightly curled long hair covered her face making it impossible to see what she looked like.

But the moment he saw Xu Shaochen his heart sank to the bottom.

He finally realized what had felt off at the entrance. There were many unfamiliar faces in the surrounding shops.

But it was unrealistic to leave now so he could only remain calm and adapt to the situation.

The key to his escape probably lay with that woman.

That woman should be the boss of Meilan right?

“Why am I here?”

Xu Shaochen revealed a mocking smile and said casually:

“Xiao Huang that question of yours shows a lack of insight. Of course I’m here waiting for you.”

“What do you want?”

Xiao Huang asked coldly then looked at the woman: “Friend I assume you’re the boss of Meilan? What’s the meaning of this?”

“It’s you!”
