Chapter 759: Don’t Think You’re Safe Just Because You’re Pretty

If Xiao Huang died how much effort would it take her to find that object?

“What’s wrong?” Xu Shaochen stopped in his tracks turned his head and gave a puzzled look.

He had always suspected that Tang Silin’s motives weren’t as simple as revenge. She must have other objectives concerning Xiao Huang.

By making a show of wanting to kill Xiao Huang he was forcing Tang Silin to reveal her hand.

Whatever Tang Silin’s intentions once Xiao Huang was dead all her efforts would be in vain.

Moreover he absolutely dared not kill anyone here. Who knew if that little minx Tang Silin had installed surveillance cameras?

Tang Silin’s expression flickered between light and dark inwardly seething with hatred for Xu Shaochen.

If it weren’t for the Xu Corporation’s global reach she would have loved nothing more than to have someone rush in and kill Xu Shaochen right there.

After a moment Tang Silin took a deep breath and said “He took away a keepsake my parents left for me back then. It might be the last thing they left behind before they died. I want it back.”

Upon hearing this Xiao Huang burst into laughter “Tang Silin now I finally understand why you didn’t dare to make a move against me all these years despite my frequent visits to Meilan.”

He paused here looking at Tang Silin with a mocking gaze “You’re not just after simple revenge either. Otherwise I would have been long dead by now.”

“Stop wasting time with all this nonsense Xiao Huang. Even if you don’t tell me I’ll find it. It’s just a matter of time.”

Tang Silin cut him off her emotions visibly agitated.

“Yes of course you can find it. So…” Xiao Huang grinned looking towards Xu Shaochen “The thing she wants is in the basement of my villa in the outskirts of Jingcheng. I’m sure you’re very interested too.”

After saying this Xiao Huang looked at Tang Silin with a schadenfreude smile.

What’s the point of killing me?

Go ahead try to compete with Xu Shaochen for it!

Harming others without benefiting oneself this was Xiao Huang’s mindset.

He knew he was bound to die tonight so he didn’t even bother to beg for mercy. But before dying he wanted to make Tang Silin miserable.

Tang Silin’s face instantly darkened as if water could drip from it her tightly clenched fist’s knuckles turning visibly white.

She kicked out viciously the heel of her high heel sweeping across Xiao Huang’s face.

“Thud!”

Xiao Huang fell to the ground directly. From this it was clear that Tang Silin had martial arts training. An ordinary woman wouldn’t have such strength.

“Miss Tang I’ll leave him to you. I have matters to attend to so I’ll take my leave first.”

Xu Shaochen casually dropped this line as he was about to leave. He was indeed very interested in the object Xiao Huang had mentioned.

“Young Master Xu surely you’re not planning to snatch away the only keepsake from this young lady’s parents?”

Tang Silin shouted coldly. In her urgency she directly attacked Xu Shaochen.

She was very confident in her abilities. No matter what she had to keep Xu Shaochen here tonight.

Xu Shaochen looked down at Tang Silin with a smile on his face speaking in a gentle tone.

Tang Silin coughed up blood her face pale as she looked at Xu Shaochen with a complex expression.

Xu Shaochen walked over crouched in front of Tang Silin reached out and patted her snow-white cheek then grabbed her hair and pulled her close. Almost face to face he said word by word:

“Don’t think I won’t hit you just because you’re pretty. You should know that beautiful women are the least scarce thing around me. Understand?”

Xiao Huang looking at Xu Shaochen’s back saw a flash of viciousness in his eyes. He knew this might be his last chance.

Looking at the fruit knife Xu Shaochen had just thrown aside Xiao Huang discreetly grabbed it in his hand slowly approaching Xu Shaochen.

He felt those who wanted to sneak attack but still shouted out were just idiots. Aren’t you just afraid people won’t know you’re trying to sneak attack?

Yes he was referring to idiots like Tang Silin.

“Take one more step and I’ll make sure you don’t know how you died.”

Xu Shaochen said without turning his head.

Xiao Huang’s body instantly froze in place a drop of cold sweat sliding down his forehead. Looking down he immediately understood how he had been discovered.
