Long Er’s face remained emotionless upon hearing the words. He expertly shifted gears and then stepped on the gas. A loud roar from the engine ensued as the car slowly started.
“What the hell!”
The Middle-aged Man, still lying on the ground wailing in pain, was startled. He cursed and jumped up, scrambling to climb onto the nearby flower bed.
This nimble reaction didn’t look anything like someone who had just been in a car accident.
“Vroom—”
Almost at the same time, right after he ran off, the black Audi sped away like a whirlwind.
“Damn it! Just because you drive an Audi A8L, you think you’re hot stuff? You think having money makes you untouchable? You seriously dared to run someone over!”
The Middle-aged Man was drenched in sweat, cursing at the distant shadow of the Audi. Half of his soul seemed scared out of his body. He never dreamed Xu Shaochen would really dare to run him over. He had never faced anything like this before.
The Middle-aged Woman who was the first to speak turned pale and then red, feeling deeply embarrassed. She wished she could dig a hole and hide because it was utterly humiliating.
By now, she clearly realized she’d been outsmarted in her own shrewdness.
Remembering her self-righteous words earlier, the Middle-aged Woman felt overwhelming shame. Her face flushed as she ran off, looking quite pathetic.
After all, staying any longer would only bring more shame.
“He really was trying to scam us! Damn it, beat him up!”
Finally, someone in the crowd grit their teeth and shouted, and then a group of people rushed at the Middle-aged Man.
“What are you doing? Stay back! Ah!”
Seeing this, the Middle-aged Man’s face paled. His eyes were full of panic, and he turned to run. But someone kicked him down, making him fall flat on his face.
“Beat him up! Damn it! Tricking us and playing with our emotions!”
“It’s bastards like this that make us afraid to do good deeds. Beat him!”
Everyone was furious, letting out all their pent-up anger as they unleashed a flurry of punches and kicks at the Middle-aged Man.
“Ah! Please stop! I was wrong! I won’t dare do it again! Please, I beg you, stop hitting me! Ah! My leg!”
The Middle-aged Man curled up on the ground, holding his head, screaming in agony, crying his heart out.
He had been in the business of scamming people for years, but today was by far the worst day of his career.

At a distant 4S Store.
“Wait for me outside.”
After getting out of the car, Xu Shaochen muttered to Long Er before heading towards the 4S Store.
From afar, someone at the 4S Store recognized Xu Shaochen and quickly ran off to inform the Manager.
“Good day, Mr. Xu.”
“Good day, Mr. Xu.”
Whenever the 4S Store employees saw Xu Shaochen, they showed extra courtesy, each trying to be more respectful than the next.
“Shaochen, what brings you here?”
Hearing the commotion at the entrance, Song Xinran, who was wearing a black uniform and had a tall figure, walked over with a smile.
“Well, Sister Xinran, it looks like you’ve been promoted to Supervisor.”
Glancing at Song Xinran’s name tag, Xu Shaochen teased.
“Oh, stop it. It’s all thanks to you.” Song Xinran rolled her eyes. How could she not know where this Supervisor position came from?
Xu Shaochen just gave a light smile and said, “In that case, Sister Xinran, shouldn’t you treat me to a meal to show your gratitude?”
“I still have to work. Let’s talk about it after I finish.” Song Xinran replied.
“No need, Xinran. You can clock out now. Go accompany Mr. Xu for a meal, no need to delay.”
As soon as Song Xinran finished speaking, an anxious voice interrupted everyone.
It was the Manager of the 4S Store, quickly making his way over, with a flattering smile on his face as he looked at Xu Shaochen.
The others all smirked. Normally, they would get fined if they were even a minute late or left even a minute early.
But today, they let Song Xinran off so early. It was clearly favoritism. The Manager’s abrupt change in attitude was quicker than the weather.
Everyone looked at Song Xinran with eyes full of envy, jealousy, and hatred. They all thought, ‘If only I had such a powerful younger brother, or even just a boy toy as influential as hers.’
Feeling everyone’s envious gazes, Song Xinran couldn’t help but smile inwardly. Looking at the handsome Xu Shaochen, she felt a sense of pride.
“Hello, Mr. Xu. I didn’t know you were coming; I couldn’t greet you properly. Please, don’t hold it against me,” the Manager said with a smile.
“Hmm… By the way, help me order a car.” Xu Shaochen nodded in acknowledgment and then said to the Manager.
The Manager’s eyes lit up. “Which model are you looking for, Mr. Xu?”
“The Aventador SVJ Roadster. How soon can it be delivered?” Xu Shaochen thought for a moment and then gave his answer.
Hearing this, the Manager’s eyes lit up even brighter. He quickly replied, “Rest assured, Mr. Xu. I’ll expedite it for you. The soonest we can get it to you is within a week.”
The Aventador SVJ Roadster is a Lamborghini convertible, priced over eight million yuan. This was a big deal! No wonder he treated Song Xinran so well, promoting her and giving her a raise to keep her at the 4S Store. Now, the payoff is here! If they hadn’t kept Song Xinran, this sale might have gone to another 4S Store.
The other 4S Store employees collectively gasped. As employees of the 4S Store, they were well aware of the car’s price.
The female employees, in particular, looked at Xu Shaochen with eyes brimming with fiery passion, wishing they could throw themselves at him.
They wouldn’t mind sharing him if it came to that.
“Hmm, do I need to pay a deposit first?” Xu Shaochen nodded and asked the Manager.
The Manager’s face changed colors, hesitating for a moment before biting the bullet and saying, “No need. I trust you, Mr. Xu.”
“Nice, you’ve got guts. What’s your name?” Xu Shaochen looked at him with newfound appreciation. The Manager had surprised him yet again.
It was worth noting that if Xu Shaochen didn’t pay a deposit and then backed out later, the 4S Store would have to bear the losses, and the Manager would likely take the blame.
Yet, Xu Shaochen didn’t expect the Manager to have so much courage, earning his respect.
Hearing this, the Manager’s smile grew even wider, and he said respectfully, “My name is Zhou Qiang, Mr. Xu. You can just call me Xiao Zhou.”
This was the first time Xu Shaochen asked for his name. Zhou Qiang knew that he had finally caught Xu Shaochen’s attention.
“I’ll remember you.”
Xu Shaochen left those words behind as he walked out of the 4S Store with Song Xinran.
Meanwhile, Zhou Qiang was almost overwhelmed with excitement because of that simple sentence from Xu Shaochen. He knew that his future now had an extra pathway.
