Chapter Index

Looking at the empty living room.

Xu Shaochen shook his head. These women are really hopeless, they just don’t understand unless they get a little sunlight.

Don’t ask what sunlight means. Pure me doesn’t know either.

Over thirty minutes later, everyone had packed up and left the hotel.

Xu Shaochen had already called Jenny in advance, explained the situation, and asked her to send a few cars over.

By the time they got downstairs, the cars had already arrived.

They drove for over half an hour and arrived at the manor.

    “Hello, Young Master.”

As they walked into the manor, the bodyguards and servants inside greeted him one by one.

“Wow…this place is big enough to let sheep graze.”

Seeing the vast green lawn, Li Qianya couldn’t help but gasp.

She thought her family’s property was already huge, but today she realized it wasn’t even a third of this size.

“When the sun comes out tomorrow, I’ll take you out for some fresh air.”

Xu Shaochen said with a cheeky grin.

“Get lost! You’re just a jerk.” Li Qianya rolled her eyes and replied, clearly annoyed.

Xu Shaochen chuckled, “Like you’d be any better. Go ahead, let’s see what you can spit out then.”

“I…can swallow.” Li Qianya blinked flirtatiously, her words full of implication.

    Ugh—

    In an instant, everyone understood.

“Shameless!” Tang Silin couldn’t help but comment, feeling like Xu Shaochen had really rubbed off on Li Qianya.

Some things can be done, but that doesn’t mean you should say them.

Li Qianya shrugged, dismissive of it all.

It took the group a full five minutes to walk from the gate to the living room.

“Welcome. It’s been a long time since anyone visited here.”

In the living room, Jenny stood in a light blue dress, smiling warmly at everyone.

She didn’t seem at all like someone who dislikes strangers visiting her home.

    Women are born actresses.

“Sorry for the trouble. We really do appreciate it.”

Chen Dongqiu and the others expressed their gratitude, showing great respect to Jenny.

After all, Jenny was now the CEO of the Xu Corporation, holding a lot of power.

When she said it had been a long time since guests came, she didn’t mean no one came. It clearly meant she just didn’t allow visitors.

“You three ladies can pick a room upstairs for yourselves. As for you two gentlemen, you’ll have to make do with the guest rooms.”

The guest rooms Jenny referred to were in a large villa at the back of the manor, specifically for hosting guests.

    “Thank you.”

Chen Dongqiu and Sun Hai nodded, without asking the obvious dumb question: why Xu Shaochen could stay here too when he was also a man.

Because Xu Shaochen was also the master of this place.

Soon, the servants escorted Chen Dongqiu and Sun Hai away.

Now, the vast living room was left with just Xu Shaochen, Tang Silin, Li Qianya, Xie Wei, and Jenny—in other words, four women and one man, with the imbalance of feminine dominance quite obvious.

“Aunt, can you help me check on someone? I didn’t expect him to come to Mg Country too. He’s lurking in the shadows like a snake, and it’s hard to tell when he might strike. He’s too dangerous.”

Xu Shaochen handed the photo of Scarface to Jenny. Since the man behind him had a significant background, it shouldn’t be too hard to investigate.

After all, the bigger the background, the more traces they leave, and the easier it becomes to find clues.

Jenny stared at the photo in silence. Xu Shaochen asked, “Aunt, do you know him?”

If she didn’t know him, why would she stare at it so long?

“This guy…is just so ugly.” Jenny finally spoke after a long pause.

    Everyone: “…”

    Great, another face-obsessed person.

Xu Shaochen finally understood why Jenny treated him so well. Turns out, being handsome wasn’t a bad thing after all.

Watching Xu Shaochen’s wandering gaze, Xie Wei, who knew him well, could tell he was having some shameless thoughts again.

Jenny pulled out her phone and made a call, “Come to the living room.”

Soon, a middle-aged man in a black suit entered the room. “Miss, what are your instructions?”

    “Find this person.”

    Jenny handed him the photo.

    “Yes, Miss.”

The man took the photo, nodded without even looking at it, then turned and left.

Li Qianya’s eyes were filled with envy. Though her status in the Li family wasn’t low, compared to Jenny, it was like night and day.

At home, people only respected her because of her parents.

“Oh, I forgot to ask, have you had dinner yet?”

Jenny suddenly remembered and turned to ask the three women.

    “Yes, we’ve eaten. Thank you.”

Xie Wei nodded, feeling somewhat reserved. She felt that any woman standing next to Jenny would feel overshadowed.

After all, Jenny was perfect in both appearance and figure, not to mention her powerful aura.

“Aunt, what time are we meeting those three guys for golf tomorrow? And is there anything I need to watch out for?”

Xu Shaochen asked, feeling a bit nervous.

“I’ll go with you tomorrow. Of course, I won’t be part of your conversation.”

Jenny said, picking up the teacup from the table and taking a sip, leaving a faint red lipstick mark on the edge.

Li Qianya really wanted to ask what shade that lipstick was.

“What they say will reflect the attitude of their families. So their words carry more than just their own opinions. You need to handle it carefully.”

Jenny reminded, worried that Xu Shaochen might lose his temper and blow the whole thing up.

“Don’t worry, I know how to handle it.” Xu Shaochen nodded. He had developed quite a tolerance for idiots by now.

Jenny nodded and turned to Xie Wei and the other two. “Alright, get some rest. Do you need me to show you to your rooms?”

Xie Wei quickly shook her head, “No, no, there’s no need for that. We can find our rooms ourselves.”

“Aunt, go ahead and rest. I’ll take them to choose their rooms.” Xu Shaochen volunteered, his eyes sparkling with mischief.

Jenny nodded, not suspecting anything, wished them good night, and then went upstairs to sleep.

A few minutes later, that shameless Xu Shaochen brought the three women to his own room. “You three can share one bed, this room looks perfect for that.”

The three women didn’t suspect a thing. It wasn’t until Xu Shaochen ambushed them at night that they realized they had been tricked.

Listening to the different but overlapping sounds from the three women, Jenny, in the next room, felt like a thousand wild horses were stampeding across her mind. Now she finally understood why Xu Shaochen had volunteered to take them to find rooms—it was all part of his plan.

Damn nephew! Don’t you know how cruel this is to a single woman who’s been alone for 27 years?

For the first time, she realized the soundproofing in her house wasn’t nearly as good as she thought. Renovation is mandatory!
