Chapter Index

    “Hurry up and be romantic.”

Song Fei straightened up and spoke.

Song Yuzhi’s lips curled into a playful smile. Looks like Dad, even though he didn’t say anything, actually disapproves of this useless Young Master.

Otherwise, he would’ve personally gone out to greet them instead of waiting for Guo Qi to come in.

I’m curious to see what this famous useless Young Master really looks like.

    Tap, tap, tap…

Soon, a chaotic and hurried set of footsteps echoed.

Following that, a young man entered the main hall first, with two tall and burly men trailing behind him.

The man appeared to be about 23 or 24 years old, with long hair and dressed in a black suit. He had a slim figure and fair complexion. From his looks alone, he could be considered decent.

He was none other than Guo Qi, the only son of Guo Zhenting, the vice leader of Hongmen.

At this moment, Guo Qi’s face looked very grim. The first thing he said after entering was to question Song Fei: “Chief Song, you carry such a big aura! Anyone who didn’t know better would think the main headquarters had moved here!”

Song Fei didn’t personally come out to greet him. How outrageous! This is disrespectful! How could he treat me like this?

“Young Master Guo, what do you mean by that? You’re scaring me.” Song Fei said anxiously.

Guo Qi snorted coldly: “Song Fei, don’t act dumb in front of me! I’m here on behalf of the main headquarters. Why didn’t you come out to greet me?”

“Oh, I see. Young Master Guo, it’s a misunderstanding! I was just about to head out to greet you, but you came in before I could. There’s nothing I could do.”

Song Fei suddenly had a look of realization, then tapped the table, speaking with a tone full of helplessness.

“You…” Guo Qi was furious. The people outside had clearly informed him he was invited in. Does Song Fei really think he’s a fool?

    “Pfft—”

Song Yuzhi, who was beside them, couldn’t hold it in and covered her mouth as she burst into laughter.

She really didn’t expect her father to have such a sly side to him.

Hearing the laughter, Guo Qi’s face turned red with anger, but when he saw Song Yuzhi, his anger instantly disappeared, replaced with a look of desire.

He had been so furious before that he hadn’t noticed the stunning beauty standing right there.

Song Yuzhi was only 22 years old but looked like she was 20. With long hair draped down her shoulders and a figure that was tall and curvy from years of martial arts training, she had a wild charm, yet her skin was flawlessly pale, like a beautiful untamed mare.

Especially with that red short skirt and those long legs, which were even more striking, capped off by a pair of high heels, emphasizing her alluring figure.

A woman like her could definitely stir up a man’s desire to conquer.

“What are you staring at? Haven’t you seen a woman before? Believe it or not, this Young Miss will dig your eyes out.”

Feeling extremely uncomfortable with Guo Qi’s lecherous gaze, Song Yuzhi rolled her eyes and snapped at him.

“Yuzhi, don’t be rude!” Song Fei scolded, but internally, he couldn’t help but feel some anger towards Guo Qi himself.

After all, no father could tolerate a man looking at his precious daughter with such eyes.

As a man himself, he knew exactly what was going on in Guo Qi’s mind.

“Chief Song, who might this young lady be?”

Guo Qi withdrew his gaze and looked at Song Fei as he asked.

Song Fei replied calmly: “Excuse her, Young Master Guo. This is my daughter, Yuzhi. She has a bit of a wild temperament and was rude to you earlier. I hope you’ll overlook it.”

“No need to worry. I quite like Sister Yuzhi’s straightforward personality.” Guo Qi felt his heart burn. Wild temperament? He loved taming wild mares. The wilder, the better!

Disgust surged inside Song Yuzhi. She wished she could just shoot this disgusting scumbag right there and then.

    “Bang!”

Cai Yuanlin slammed his teacup on the table heavily, startling Guo Qi.

Cai Yuanlin said coldly: “Young Master Guo, the main headquarters sent you here to handle business, not to ogle women.”

He’d watched Song Yuzhi grow up and saw her like his own daughter. There was no way he could tolerate such a disgusting face from Guo Qi.

Only then did Guo Qi snap back to reality. He cleared his throat and spoke seriously: “Who’s Gao Tian? Tell me what happened again.”

“Young Master Guo…” Gao Tian reluctantly called out, and then he relayed the events once more.

    “Xu Shaochen?”

Guo Qi furrowed his brows. His eyes shifted, and he looked at Song Fei. “Chief Song, this is a great opportunity for you. You’re short on funds, right? Bring Xu Shaochen into our fold. Our Hongmen would never need to worry about money again.”

Everyone in the hall was dumbstruck. They couldn’t fathom how this Young Master came up with such a ridiculous idea. Is he crazy?

“Ahem, Young Master Guo, he’s the world’s richest man and the heir to Xu Corporation.”

Cai Yuanlin had just lifted his teacup but choked on the tea upon hearing those words. He carefully phrased his response.

In other words: Bro, we’re talking about the richest man in the world! His status is beyond impressive. He’s on a different level than us.

Xu Shaochen would have to be insane to join Hongmen.

Though Hongmen was powerful, with connections even among the elite domestically and internationally, they were far from Xu Shaochen’s league, a true magnate.

In other words, Guo Qi has no self-awareness.

“So what if he’s the richest man? Is our Hongmen lacking somehow? Enough, this is settled. I’ll personally go talk to him. That should give him enough face, don’t you think?”

Guo Qi was firm in his decision. If he succeeded, he’d have solved Hongmen’s funding problems. It would be a huge merit for him.

Moreover, from his perspective, Hongmen wasn’t any lesser than Xu Corporation. Over the years, he’d seen plenty of wealthy people approach his father for favors.

Song Fei secretly rolled his eyes. Not even your father could get Xu Shaochen to care about him.

But looking at Guo Qi’s confident expression, Song Fei knew that there was no way to convince him otherwise, so he simply said:

“Xiao Gao, you go with Young Master Guo.”

He also gave Gao Tian a knowing look, silently signaling him to keep an eye on this fool and not let him cause any trouble.

“No need, Chief Song. I think your daughter would be a better choice. How about letting her accompany me instead?”

Guo Qi looked at Song Yuzhi with a smile, already scheming. He was planning to drug her and have his way with her.

His father was the vice leader, after all. Even if he had his way with her, what could she do? She’d have no choice but to accept her fate and become his plaything.

“Alright then, Yuzhi, go with them.”

Though Song Fei was slightly hesitant, knowing that Gao Tian would still be there made him feel somewhat reassured.

His worry wasn’t that Guo Qi would harm Song Yuzhi, but that she might lose her temper and shoot Guo Qi, this good-for-nothing.
