Chapter 862: What Type of House Do You Like?
by xennovel“You… you dare hit me?”
Feeling the burning pain on his face.
Guo Qi flew into a rage, his eyes glaring with fury at Xu Shaochen: “You damn well dared to hit me!”
“Someone!”
Xu Shaochen shouted.
Clang!
Thud, thud, thud…
The office door was pushed open, and bodyguards from the hallway outside swarmed in.
“Throw him out for me! If he dares step near the company building again, break his dog legs.”
Xu Shaochen said coldly to Guo Qi.
“Yes.”
Several bodyguards rushed up, grabbed Guo Qi, and began dragging him out.
“What are you doing! Let me go, Xu! I’m telling you, it’s not too late to regret this, or you won’t even have the chance to!”
Guo Qi kept struggling, not forgetting to threaten Xu Shaochen.
But Xu Shaochen completely ignored him. Such a brain-dead threat was nothing but garbage and had no effect.
Jenny was laughing uncontrollably on the side. After all, Guo Qi really was a joke.
Gao Tian and Song Yuzhi felt quite embarrassed. Inside, they silently cursed Guo Qi’s ancestors through eighteen generations.
“What’s his deal?”
Xu Shaochen asked Gao Tian, naturally referring to that pompous idiot, Guo Qi.
“Big Brother Xu, that’s just how he is. He’s famous even within our Hongmen. He aims high but has no real skill, only flaunting his dad’s status.”
“This time, he’s here to retrieve something for the main branch and heard you saved me, so he insisted on getting you involved. He’s just trying to score a big achievement. After all, Hongmen’s got a lot of mouths to feed, and we’re short on funds.”
Gao Tian said honestly.
Xu Shaochen nodded. So, he was someone who’d spent his whole life in his own little world. No wonder he lacked any sense of reality.
To think with such low intelligence, he still wanted to treat me like a cash cow. Just how insulting does he think that is?
Xu Shaochen said, “You got injured last time because of the thing Guo Qi wanted to take, didn’t you?”
“Big Brother Xu… It’s inconvenient to talk about.”
Gao Tian scratched the back of his head, showing an apologetic expression.
“It’s fine. If it’s inconvenient, you don’t have to say it. Wanna sit down for a bit?”
Xu Shaochen smiled. By not saying anything, wasn’t that just confirming I guessed right? Whether you say it or not, what’s the difference?
“No, no, no, Big Brother Xu, we have to rush back. Who knows what kind of trouble Guo Qi might stir up next.”
Gao Tian quickly waved his hand and said.
“Alright then, I won’t see you out.”
Xu Shaochen nodded. He was just being polite anyway.
Gao Tian and Song Yuzhi turned and left.
“That guy’s really something.”
After they left, Jenny covered her mouth, laughing as she walked up to stand beside Xu Shaochen.
Naturally, she was talking about that clown, Guo Qi.
“How interesting?”
Xu Shaochen playfully slapped her on the side, noticing how stretchy her dress was.
“Hey, you’re getting more and more out of line. Know when to stop, got it?”
Jenny took a step back, giving Xu Shaochen a warning look, her delicate face flushing with a barely noticeable shade of pink.
“I get it, I get it. Pace myself, go easy. Can’t scare you off too soon, right?”
Xu Shaochen raised both hands and said cheekily.
“Pfft!”
Jenny, not in the mood, spat in his direction and went back to her soup.
………
At the entrance of Xu Corporation.
“Xu, you’re damn well brave. Just wait. I swear I’ll get my revenge for this!”
Guo Qi climbed off the ground, clutching his waist, grimacing in pain, but his eyes were blazing with fury.
Then, he pulled out his phone and called his dad, Guo Zhenting: “Dad, someone bullied me! They slapped me and threw me onto the street!”
“What trouble have you caused now? What’s the story?”
Guo Zhenting’s first reaction was that Guo Qi brought this upon himself. You couldn’t blame him; after all, Guo Zhenting knew his son all too well.
“Dad, I’m doing this for Hongmen!” Guo Qi said indignantly.
Hearing this only made Guo Zhenting more uneasy: “Explain it clearly. What do you mean you’re doing this for Hongmen?”
Every time this idiot used that as an excuse, Guo Zhenting knew his son had messed up again.
“I… Xu Shaochen… Dad, you’ve got to help me get revenge. I’ve never been so humiliated in my life!”
He recounted the whole story, realizing there wasn’t any response on the other end: “Dad, what’s the matter? Dad, say something!”
“Qi’er, what type of house do you like?”
After a while, Guo Zhenting’s voice finally came through the phone again, sounding unusually calm.
Guo Qi froze: “What… what type of house? Dad, are you buying me a house?”
“No. I’m buying you a burial plot. At this rate, you’ll soon die from all this mess. Oh, do you prefer a flip-top coffin or a sliding one? Maybe you’d like an urn?”
Guo Zhenting ground his teeth as he spoke, his voice trembling with anger. He was so mad he could barely contain it. How did he end up raising such an idiot?
If not for secretly doing a paternity test, he’d have doubted if his wife had cheated on him.
After all, this kid didn’t look like his son at all!
“Dad, you’re making me sad.” Guo Qi muttered pitifully.
“Shut up! Take the damn item and come back immediately. I’m telling you, if you cause any more trouble, I’ll disown you!”
Guo Zhenting roared furiously into the phone, then hung up immediately.
Beep~ Beep~
Hearing the busy signal coming from the phone, Guo Qi was equally furious, grinding his teeth and growling: “If you won’t help me get revenge, I’ll do it myself!”
“Young Master Guo, are you alright? Are you okay, Young Master Guo?”
Gao Tian and Song Yuzhi rushed to his side.
Slap!
Already fuming, Guo Qi backhanded Gao Tian across the face: “F**k you, traitor! I’ll make sure you pay for this!”
“What are you doing?! Try hitting him again!”
Song Yuzhi was furious, shoving Guo Qi back.
“You dare push me? You little vixen! Wouldn’t you believe me if I told you I could report you and get your entire branch in trouble?”
Guo Qi glared at Song Yuzhi, his eyes filled with cruelty.
“Yuzhi, calm down.”
Gao Tian pulled Song Yuzhi back and said reluctantly to Guo Qi, “Young Master Guo, I’m responsible for this, no one else. This has nothing to do with anyone else, nor the branch.”
“Hmm! Good that you know your place.” Guo Qi snorted coldly, his eyes flashing a lecherous gaze at Song Yuzhi.
“Damn it. I’ll definitely get you one day, and then I’ll make you pay for this push.”
“What a horrible person. He’s bound to be hit by a car someday.”
Song Yuzhi muttered through clenched teeth.
“Alright, stop talking like that.”
Gao Tian tugged at her sleeve.
Bang!
Suddenly, the loud sound of a collision echoed out. A car had hit someone, sending the person flying.
Song Yuzhi and Gao Tian stood there, dumbfounded.
The person who got hit was none other than Guo Qi.
