Chen Li personally injected the drug into Xu Shaochen.

His hands were trembling while injecting.

What should have taken only a minute took five minutes to finish.

After the injection, Xu Shaochen felt a surge of heat flowing through his body, followed by an intense, tearing pain.

Xu Shaochen’s face turned pale, and sweat the size of beans dripped down his face as he felt like his teeth might shatter from the clenching.

The agony lasted for a full ten minutes before fading away.

Before, he could punch through a wooden board. Now he felt like he could punch a bull to death.

Chen Li nervously looked at Xu Shaochen.

The plane landed once again on the rooftop of the Xu Corporation’s building.

Xu Shaochen first went to Jenny’s office.

“You rushed me with a phone call, telling me to deploy people. Now, I think it’s time for a reasonable explanation.”

Jenny put down the documents she was holding and looked up at Xu Shaochen, a slight smile on her face.

But within that smile lay a hint of danger.

After all, Xu Shaochen’s tone on the phone earlier wasn’t exactly polite.

Xu Shaochen chuckled, walked up to her, and picked up her water cup.

“What are you doing?”

Jenny looked at him suspiciously.

Xu Shaochen applied force with his right hand.

The water cup shattered into pieces instantly.

Jenny’s eyes widened in disbelief as she stared at him.

But it didn’t stop there.

Xu Shaochen placed one hand on a corner of her desk and pressed down. That corner of the desk instantly crushed into splinters.

“This…”

Jenny’s delicate lips formed an ‘O,’ making Xu Shaochen think of some unhealthy things.

“How’s that?”

Xu Shaochen asked with a cocky grin. Showing off was second nature to him.

“How could… how could this happen? What is going on?”

Jenny’s face was filled with curiosity, the strong desire to know evident in her eyes.

“The Genetic Serum worked.”

Xu Shaochen replied.

Jenny was utterly stunned. She never thought something you’d only see in movies could actually be developed.

Even though she had prepared herself mentally after seeing the mutated white rat last time…

When the day finally came, she still found it hard to accept.

What does the Genetic Serum represent? It’s a groundbreaking product. Once it’s widely available, it means humanity is stepping into a new era.

“There’s no need to be so shocked. This is only the first generation. There will be more upgrades down the line. If you’re interested, you can even inject it.”

“Or you can wait. The second generation of the drug will be stronger and safer.”

Xu Shaochen walked over, placing his hands on Jenny’s shoulders and gently caressing her soft, smooth cheek.

“We can talk about that later. Right now, let’s discuss how you’ll compensate me for breaking my cup and desk.”

Jenny regained her composure, turning her head, her smile fully returning as she looked at Xu Shaochen.

“Close your eyes. I’ve got a surprise for you.”

Xu Shaochen pinched her cheek, his eyes filled with affection.

“You’re not gonna kiss me while I’m not looking, right?”

Jenny had an ‘I see right through you’ look on her face.

“I’m not that shallow. This surprise will totally catch you off guard.”

Xu Shaochen spoke confidently.

“Alright then, I’m curious to see what you’re up to.”

Jenny smiled, full of anticipation, as she slowly closed her eyes.

Xu Shaochen smirked, turned around, quietly walked out of the office, and closed the door behind him.

“Are you ready? Can I open my eyes now?”

Jenny asked.

“I’m opening them! I’m really opening them!”

Receiving no response, Jenny slowly opened her eyes.

She looked around and found no trace of Xu Shaochen—he was long gone.

“Bastard!”

Jenny cursed through clenched teeth, her fists tightly balled, imagining strangling him.

Xu Shaochen had nonchalantly strolled out of the company.

In the parking lot, Long Yi and Long Er were already waiting for him.

“Boss.”

Seeing Xu Shaochen, they both saluted and opened the rear car door.

“Take me home.”

After getting in, Xu Shaochen gave the order.

Long Yi drove, and the Rolls Royce slowly pulled out of the parking lot.

“Screech—”

As soon as they left the parking area, Long Yi slammed on the brakes.

A disheveled woman had rushed toward the car, slamming into it.

“Damn slut, stop right there!”

Behind the woman, two foreigners were chasing after her.

After crashing into the car, the woman collapsed on the ground, and the two foreigners started to drag her away.

“Save me, please, I beg you, save me!”

The woman kept scrambling toward the car, her face full of desperation, bloodied nails scratching the car’s hood.

“Boss.”

Long Yi and Long Er looked at Xu Shaochen.

“Bring the woman and those two bastards to me.”

Xu Shaochen commanded coldly, his eyes glinting with malice.

The woman had spoken in Chinese, and for this reason alone, he couldn’t just stand by.

“Yes, Boss.”

Long Yi and Long Er’s eyes flashed with rage. Having just injected the Genetic Serum themselves, they were itching for a fight.

“Hey, you bastards, let her go!”

Long Yi yelled at the two foreigners.

“Save me, big brothers, please save me! I’ll do anything, be your servant, whatever you want!”

Hearing familiar Chinese, the woman clung to Long Yi and Long Er like they were her last hope, shouting frantically.

“Shit, you damn yellow monkeys! Stay out of this if you know what’s good for you, or you’re asking to die!”

One of the foreigners, a bald-headed man, arrogantly sneered at Long Yi and Long Er.

“When our boss asks to meet someone, no one ever dares refuse.”

Long Er replied calmly, taking measured steps toward the two foreigners.
