Chapter 113: Clash at the Shore: Pirates vs Navy
by xennovel“Alright boys, it’s time—attack!”
This was the moment Rocks had been waiting for. His gaze went razor-sharp, locking onto the Navy like a hunting leopard stalking prey. The Black Dragon blade in his hand pointed straight at them.
A smirk curled at the corner of his mouth, full of defiance and raw confidence. It was like he’d already seen victory ahead.
With the Celestial Dragons just placed on the execution platform, the pirates stared wildly at the distant Navy fleet, unable to hide their excitement.
Their eyes gleamed with hunger and anticipation, a starving pack of wolves finally seeing prey on the horizon.
As soon as Rocks gave the order, the pirates surged towards the Navy forces who were landing. Bloodlust gleamed in their eyes—they crashed toward the Navy, savage as wolves.
“Rocks, let the Celestial Dragons go!”
Staring at the bloodied Celestial Dragons on the execution stage, Kong’s face clouded with anger.
His brows furrowed, worry and fury battling in his eyes. He knew if they didn’t rescue the Celestial Dragons in time, disaster would follow.
“Hahaha, if you’ve got the guts, come take them!”
Rocks shot back with a dark grin, eyes locked on Kong.
His gaze brimmed with challenge and scorn, like victory was already in his pocket.
“Je-hahaha!”
“Is there really anything left to say? The Navy’s all here.”
Leading the charge, Golden Lion dashed forward, arrogance written all over his face as he went straight for Vice Admiral Zephyr.
Battle-lust burned in his eyes like a tiger lunging at its prey, the corners of his mouth twisting into a taunting smile.
Hot on his heels, Newgate, Linlin, Karl, Wang Zhi, John, Silver Axe and the rest sprinted down to the shore.
A wave of pirates broke through, plunging into brutal battle with the Navy at the water’s edge.
Steel clashed against steel, gunfire rang out, and roars tore through the chaos as the whole battlefield erupted in bedlam.
Blood sprayed, smoke filled the air—life and death now balanced on a knife’s edge.
“DANG!!!”
Zephyr raised his fist, the pitch-black glow of Armament Haki blocking Golden Lion’s savage slash.
His stare was steely, radiating an unbreakable fighting spirit.
“Je-hahaha!”
“Zephyr! Looks like we meet again.”
Shiki laughed, eyes dancing with provocation as he swung his right leg, coated in Armament Haki, aiming a vicious kick at Zephyr’s waist.
“Hmph. Pirate—don’t get cocky.”
Zephyr stepped back, dodging the attack.
Focused, with a faint grin tugging at his lips.
Then he launched a sudden counterattack.
“Je-hahaha!”
“Not bad, Zephyr!”
The two quickly became locked in a fierce, evenly matched duel.
Lightning-fast, their figures blurred and zigzagged like streaks of lightning, explosions of force shattering the air wherever they clashed.
Every exchange sent out shockwaves. Fighters nearby instinctively backed off, leaving a wide open space for the two titans.
“CLANG!”
Suddenly, a deafening crash echoed from the center of the battlefield. The weaker ones winced as the sound ruptured their eardrums.
At the heart of it all: Kong and Rocks locked in brutal battle.
“Hahaha! Kong, are you getting weaker or am I just that much stronger?”
So it was Kong and Rocks—every blow between them made the entire island tremble violently.
“Rocks, if you actually dare execute the Celestial Dragons, aren’t you afraid of the Five Elders?”
Kong gritted his teeth, pressing Rocks with his demand.
“Afraid of them? Me? Hahaha!”
“Quit joking, Kong. If you’ve got what it takes, come and get them yourself.”
Black Dragon’s blade surged with the flow of Armament Haki.
“Divine Might!”
With a furious roar, Rocks unleashed a fearsome slash that smashed Kong straight to the ground.
Rocks didn’t hesitate, dropping down and swinging the Black Dragon at Kong in one fluid motion.
Admiral Wenhu instantly realized Kong couldn’t hold out alone so he hurried to help.
“DANG!!!”
He transformed partway into a tiger beast, sprinting forward like a cannonball toward the onrushing Rocks.
Kong quickly sprang up from the ground, rejoining the battle in an instant. The clash of three erupted in a flurry of blows.
Thunderous booms filled the air, every sweep and step unleashing terrifying power.
And the rest of the battlefield was anything but still.
“Gururururu!”
Newgate gripped Cloud Cutter with both hands, the blade cloaked in a cloud of white energy as he activated the Tremor-Tremor Fruit’s power.
“Garp, let’s see if you’ve gotten any stronger!”
With one knee bent, Newgate hefted Cloud Cutter and brought it swinging down at Garp with all his might.
“Hahaha! Newgate, bring it on!”
Seeing Newgate’s confident grin, Garp felt the threat right away. Without hesitation, both fists darkened under the coating of Armament Haki.
“CRACK CRACK!”
“BOOM!”
Their blows collided and white cracks slashed through the air, spinning out of control in a wild windstorm.
One after another found worthy foes, while John, Linlin, and others carved a path of mayhem through the Navy ranks.
“How much longer are you guys just going to stand around and watch?”
As casualties among the Navy kept rising, Kong let out a furious shout toward the shoreline.
“Sorry, sorry!”
A sudden voice drew everyone’s attention—five CP0 agents in white cloaks had stepped onto the shore.
John, Silver Axe, Wang Zhi, Linlin, and Kaido instantly picked out their opponents.
“Ladies first, Linlin.”
Wang Zhi crossed his arms over his chest.
“Mama mama mama!”
“Guess I’ll go first then.”
Linlin shot Wang Zhi a quick look, then raised the Emperor Sword.
“Emperor’s Sword—Shattering Edge!”
Charlotte Linlin was the first to clash with a CP0, while the others quickly found adversaries of their own.
They shot forward in streaks of light, barreling straight for CP0.
With these new fighters joining in, a massive space cleared on the shore for the next stage of battle.
“BANG!”
“Sengoku, you and I still have unfinished business.”
Karl’s fists crackled with Armament Haki, the black-gold glow of his punch gleaming dangerously.
“Karl, pirates and Navy have always been enemies.”
“The moment you became a pirate, our grudges only multiplied.”
Sengoku fired back, giving no ground.
“Buddha Shockwave!”
In a flash, Sengoku transformed into his Buddha form, unleashed an angry roar, and slammed his right palm down. A blasting shockwave sped straight at Karl.
“Thunderbolt Barrage!”
Karl raised a hand, calling lightning from the sky. A torrent of thunder crashed down, sweeping away Sengoku’s shockwave with ease.
All at once, wild lightning exploded from Karl, surging in every direction.
The electricity tingled over everyone’s skin, forcing those nearby to back off in a hurry.
“Karl’s gotten even stronger? How is that possible?”
Sengoku managed to block the attack but his face twisted in shock and disbelief.
Staring at the crackling lightning on his palm, he clenched his right hand tight, Armament Haki coiling around it.
“That one must not be allowed to live.”
At the center of the chaos, Kong caught a glimpse of Karl’s lightning and his face changed. He could feel the violent surge pulsing in every thunderbolt.
“You’re still distracted, Kong? That’s as good as asking to die.”
Facing off against two Admirals didn’t faze Rocks at all. Seeing Kong zone out, Rocks immediately swung Black Dragon.
Seizing the opening, he carved a long gash across Kong’s chest.
“Damn it!”
Kong cursed—he hadn’t counted on Rocks landing a clean hit the moment he lost focus.
“Hahaha! Garp, you’re losing focus!”
Newgate was surprised but seized Garp’s lapse, swinging Cloud Cutter hard in an attempt to deal some serious damage.
“Newgate, you’re still not there yet.”
But Garp’s battle sense was sharper than ever—he blocked it in an instant.
