    “Daoist Thunder Magic—Thunder Cutter!”

Karl hadn’t just been sitting around lately—he’d studied all sorts of skills from anime and movies, coming up with new thunder techniques of his own.

Sengoku swung shockwaves from his hands, clashing them against Thunder Cutter.

    “Sizzle… Boom!”

The two auras collided, the blast echoing across the sky, streams of lightning swirling everywhere like a thunder god descending.

Just as the energy waves met, Karl used Six Powers—Shave to shoot toward Sengoku, getting closer each moment.

    “Thunder Fist!”

A split-second spark—a purple lightning-charged fist flashed to life right in front of Sengoku’s chest.

Sengoku bent his right knee, then sprang to the side.

    “Clang!!”

He swung his left fist up to block. The instant their fists collided, a sharp metallic ring pierced the air.

Sengoku withdrew from his Buddha form, the two of them weaving in and out on their feet, throwing punches in close combat.

    “Clang! Clang! Clang!”

They darted back and forth, leaving countless afterimages, the ground beneath them cracking with each step.

    “Thunder Swamp!”

Bolts of lightning burst from beneath Karl’s feet, turning the earth beneath him into a field of crackling electric marsh.

    “Armament Haki—Full Coverage!”

Not wanting to be overwhelmed, Sengoku coated his whole body in Armament Haki, his eyes flashing with focus.

    “Thousand-Armed Buddha!”

Sengoku shifted instantly back to his Buddha form, conjuring a swarm of massive golden hands that crashed down toward Karl.

    “Just a Punch!”

Karl didn’t dodge—he simply threw a straight, ordinary punch.

But Sengoku’s face shifted. He felt genuine mortal danger hidden in that simple strike.

    “Advanced Conqueror’s Haki?”

Sengoku cried out in disbelief. Karl hadn’t shown this before, and now he’d mastered Advanced Conqueror’s Haki in no time at all.

In the blink of an eye, Karl radiated overwhelming pressure.

    “Boom!”

    Sengoku barely blocked in time.

A domineering aura exploded through the air.

Karl floated above the ground, ripples of red Conqueror’s Haki spreading from his body.

Crimson shockwaves flooded the sky, boxing Sengoku in from all sides.

    “Buzz!”

Not to be outdone, Sengoku unleashed his own menacing Conqueror’s Haki to collide with Karl’s.

    “Fall back! That’s Lord Karl’s Conqueror’s Haki!”

“What crushing pressure—I can barely breathe!”

Pirates and Marines standing too close were all struck by a suffocating force.

“Get out of here! You’ll be crushed if you stay!”

Team leaders barked frantic orders, shoving their squads to the sidelines.

    “Sizzle! Sizzle! Sizzle!”

The two waves of Conqueror’s Haki crashed together high above.

Where they met in the air, a bottomless chasm split open.

Even the clouds overhead started rolling inward toward the battleground.

    “True Fivefold Thunder!”

    “Buddha Shockwave!”

Both men let out deep shouts as they launched themselves into a new collision.

Sengoku kept swinging fierce shockwaves, hurling them at Karl with blinding speed.

Karl retaliated by summoning down bolts of lightning from the sky.

    “Crackle! Boom!”

Their powers fought each other in midair, explosions going off over and over.

Each blast left terrifying electric currents racing through the air and streaking over the ground.

Any pirates or Marines who couldn’t dodge in time fell to the ground, burned to ash.

    “Try this—Thunder Plasm Bomb!”

Karl condensed lightning in his hands until it pooled into a shimmering orb, then hurled the liquid lightning toward Sengoku.

For the first time, looking at the fast-approaching thunderball, Sengoku felt a chill of fear.

He instantly gathered Conqueror’s Haki in both hands and slammed down at the bomb as hard as he could.

    “Clang!”

Instead of a crackle, the Thunder Plasm Bomb rang like metal when their attacks struck.

“Not bad, Sengoku—you’re improving,” Karl taunted, arms folded, a mocking grin on his face.

“Karl, don’t flatter yourself,” Sengoku shot back, voice low and full of challenge.

With a growl, Sengoku launched himself forward to attack.

He knew long-range exchanges didn’t work against Karl—in a fight like this, close combat was his only chance.

The next second, their blows clashed, sending out a tremendous shockwave so powerful it rocked even the distant fighters.

But even so, Karl still couldn’t finish things quickly.

    “Thunder Bagua!”

Just then, the battle took a turn on the other side of the field.

With a furious roar, Kaido started losing ground against CP0.

It was obvious—Kaido was on the back foot.

    “Sovereign Nation!”

CP0, facing off against Linlin, hadn’t expected her to master Advanced Conqueror’s Haki as well.

Even if her swordsmanship wasn’t top tier, Linlin was still far stronger than your average swordsman.

“Damn it, this was a miscalculation,”

CP0 glanced around the battlefield, realizing it would be impossible to quickly finish off Kaido and Linlin and rescue the Celestial Dragons. Now they’d be lucky just to survive.

John and Silver Axe were locked in a dead heat with CP0.

No sign either could come over to help.

Wang Zhi had lost his right arm, but even so, CP0 couldn’t put him down quickly.

Harth Island itself was nearly destroyed by the chaos.

Kaido fought on like an unbreakable cockroach. Every time CP0 managed to knock him down, he rose right back up—no opening to rescue the Celestial Dragons.

Meanwhile, Kong, Garp, Zephyr, and the rest of the Marines were all kept busy by the Rocks Pirates’ divisional captains.

    “Hello everyone, I’m Mor Morris,”

“I’m here to bring you a live update from the front lines.”

While the fighting raged, Mor Morris stood beside the execution platform, four Video Transponder Snails aimed at all corners of the battlefield—including the Celestial Dragons.

    “Who’s that guy?”

    “Yeah, how’s this being broadcast?”

Across the Four Seas, the Grand Line, Skypiea, and most of the New World’s islands, Broadcasting Transponder Snails beamed the scene to the world.

This was Karl’s hidden strategy all along. Once he invented the Video and Projection Transponder Snails, he secretly scattered them across the Four Seas and Grand Line to set up today’s global broadcast.

“That person looks like a Celestial Dragon!”

    “What’s a Celestial Dragon?”

“I know him—that’s the captain of the Rocks Pirates!”

Some watching across the world recognized the people on screen. Gasps of shock broke out.

Even though Mor Morris couldn’t hear the crowd, it didn’t stop him from talking to the Video Transponder Snail.

“You’re absolutely right—that’s a Celestial Dragon, and today the Rocks Pirates are about to execute him.”

Whispers spread across every corner of the globe.

    “Execute a Celestial Dragon? Impossible.”

    “Could it really be true?”

“No way! How would the Rocks Pirates dare execute a Celestial Dragon?!”

“I hope it’s true. My whole family… it’s the Celestial Dragons who ruined us.”

    “Shh, keep your voice down!”

    “Sob… Sob…”

Many watching collapsed to their knees in tears. Too many had suffered under the Celestial Dragons with nowhere to vent their anger.

Now, seeing someone brave enough to become the first to execute a Celestial Dragon, the world could only cheer them on.

“Right now, our captain is battling Admiral Kong, Sengoku, and the others—everyone, look to the big screen!”
